The Weekend Team News

Charlie Austin looks set to be sidelined for Southampton’s clash with Middlesbrough due to a shoulder injury. Hector Bellerin faces a late fitness test as Arsenal entertain Stoke, while Tom Heaton has a chance of returning in time for Burnley’s encounter with Bournemouth.

Hector Bellerin is set for a fitness test today as he steps up his recovery from an ankle problem ahead of Arsenal’s home match with Stoke.

Tom Heaton is expected to be fit for Burnley’s clash with Bournemouth. Speaking at yesterday’s pre-match press conference, Sean Dyche confirmed.

“He’s had a good few days, we’ll wait and see. As long as there’s no reaction he’ll be back in contention. It’s different training with the physios to training with the team.”

Seamus Coleman returned to training yesterday morning after recovering from the knock that forced him off against Man United. Ronald Koeman has confirmed he expects the Irishman to be available for the trip to Vicarage Road. Yannick Bolasie is set to undergo knee surgery after sustaining ligament damage against the Red Devils and is out for the season.

Claudio Ranieri suggested that Kasper Schmeichel “could be ready” to return for Leicester’s clash with Man City. The Foxes remain without Danny Drinkwater, who serves the last of a three-match suspension.

Charlie Austin is ruled out of Southampton’s home match against Middlesbrough. The forward was forced off with a shoulder injury in last night’s Europa League clash against Hapoel Be’er Sheva, with Claude Puel conceding:

“Charlie has a shoulder injury and we will see this. I don’t know how many times he stay out but it’s important for us. I don’t know but he cannot play for the next game of course”.

Puel has since confirmed this in his 11.30 press conference this morning.

Earlier this morning, Tony Pulis conceded that both Gareth McAuley and James Morrison will be assessed ahead of West Brom’s trip to Chelsea on Sunday.

“Morrison and McAuley haven’t trained this week so we’ve got a little bit of concern over the two of them. They’re knocks but they haven’t trained so today will be a big game for them because it’s the three-game week. Whether we play them Sunday and risk them for Wednesday (against Swansea), I’m not sure. It’s something I’ll have to sit down and talk to the doctor about.”

Ryan Shawcross is “unlikely” to be fit in time for Stoke’s trip to Arsenal, though Mark Hughes has confirmed that both Bruno Martins Indi and Marko Arnautovic have been passed fit.

Michail Antonio and Aaron Cresswell are both back in training and have been passed fit for West Ham’s trip to Liverpool.

All this and more has now been updated in the Team News section ahead of tomorrow’s deadline. Keep an eye on our official Twitter Stream for breaking news – as the day unfolds, we will issue updates from Friday’s press conferences and refresh our Team News tab accordingly to keep you informed.

If Firmino is played as a false 9, he could potentially be the best candidate for captain this week, but with the risk that he will be relegated to the wing might be too much.

Between Hazard (WBA), Firmino (WHU), Costa (WBA) and Alexis (STK) for me, with armband currently on Costa.

So, who are you captaining and why above other the other premium options available?

I looking seriously at Firmino, another reason I am is he is a big differential in my ML at the moment..

Reckon he will be a bit of a differential alright, not being mentioned too much on here.

Alexis - 5 goals in 2 games. Stoke are not good, and missing their best defender

Food for thought Prof. Hovering between him and Costa, Firmino is too risky for me unless guaranteed in the false 9.

I'm going for firmino this week, I don't have Sanchez so I see it as a good week for a differential. I think Defoe and benteke are good shouts this week too

They haven't really missed Shawcross the last two weeks. Much weaker opposition I know but still, not convinced his absence is enough reason to sway it to Sanchez (not that it really needs to be swayed anyway).

    Better way is:

    A) Austin -> Wilson ; next GW Walcott -> Hazard
    B) Austin -> Nacho/Origi ; next GW Clyne, Walcott -> Cedric, Hazard for -4
    C) Austin -> Defoe ; next GW downgrade Siggy to 5.9 or Clyne to 4.2 to get Haz for -4
    D) Austin -> Benteke ; next GW downgrade Siggy to 6.1 or Clyne to 4.4 to get Haz for -4

What are people thoughts on Jamie Vardy? Was last year just a case of his confience carrying him!? Obviously there some talent there but remembering D Ba and P Cisse it makes me think thats all it was. One things for sure I think Arsenal have done very well in going for Perez over Vardy.

3rd top scorer in league playing for a team that's been rooted to foot of table. Imagine how many goals he'd get for a top 10 side.

Lucky enough to have my wildcard left and used it as soon as the City Chelsea game finished:

    Heaton
    Cedric Alonso Lovren
    Sanchez Hazard Siggy Can
    Kane Costa Ihaenacho

    Grant, Ake, Walker, Fletcher

$0.3 ITB and the only change I cannot decide on is:

Heaton & Nacho to Pickford & Defoe. Would you do it?

Defoe is on amazing form, but Origi has good fixtures and could be explosive, Nacho is also tempting but a little risky. I think it is a very solid choice as Defoe also has form and fixtures. Thinking of getting him myself.

This might sound crazy, but hear me out.

I'm considering -20. I would take out Austin, Walcott, Pedro, Mata and Fuchs to get in Iheanacho, Sanchez, Hazard, Philips and Aké. I think those changes woult outscore the old ones by 20 in say, two GWs...

Any thoughts? Am I mad? Desperate times, etc.

You've missed quite a few price rises haven't you! They're good moves, but not for -20.

Yeah, I was drunk in the united states at the start of the season, didn't get my team set up properly, been playing catch up and putting out fires ever since. No real shot at winning anything, ended at 6k overall last year, 14k the year before that, now trying to break into the top 2m...

Many on here going for Ihenacho? I know that Defoe is a better long term pick, but it sure is tempting for the next 3/4 games.

I think many didn't have the £ to move from Austin to Defoe. Nacho also is on the stronger side with a few easy opponents. However, Defoe is a consistent scorer this year, and the short term Nacho hold requires 2 transfers.

Origi little safer than Nacho in terms of gametime? Dowhill since gw4 and another -8 hit coming.

    Austin -> Origi?
