The Weekend Team News

Matt Phillips remains sidelined for West Brom’s trip to Everton, while Winston Reid and Jose Fonte are expected to be fit for West Ham’s visit to Bournemouth. Eddie Howe will make a late decision on Simon Francis but Kyle Naughton misses out for Swansea City’s clash against Hull City.

Tony Pulis revealed this morning that Matt Phillips has failed to recover from a hamstring injury in time to face Everton at Goodison Park tomorrow. The West Brom head coach also intimated, without naming names, that one or two players might be in need of a “little rest.”

Dominic Calvert-Lewin is available again for Everton’s home clash against West Bromwich Albion, but Muhamed Besic and Yannick Bolasie remain out for the Toffees.

A late decision is expected to be made on the fitness of Bournemouth captain Simon Francis, who has missed the Cherries’ last two matches due to a hamstring injury. Bournemouth will be without the suspended Tyrone Mings and Andrew Surman for the home fixture against West Ham United, while Junior Stanislas looks set to remain with a groin injury.

Winston Reid and Jose Fonte are expected to be available for West Ham United’s trip to Bournemouth, while Michail Antonio is back in contention after missing the 2-1 defeat to Chelsea due to suspension. Andy Carroll and Robert Snodgrass suffered cuts during Monday night’s 2-1 defeat to Chelsea, but they are set to be available.

Kyle Naughton has been ruled out for the trip to face Hull City, but Ki Sung-yeung and Jefferson Montero have returned to full training, and could be involved at the KCOM Stadium.

Roberto Firmino is a doubt for Liverpool’s clash with Burnley, with Jurgen Klopp confirming that the Brazilian is set to be assessed. Jordan Henderson and Daniel Sturridge remain out for Sunday’s match.

There are also four FA Cup quarter-finals over the next three days, with Premier League sides Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester City, Manchester United, Middlesbrough and Tottenham Hotspur all in action.

Danny Welbeck and Alex Iwobi are both doubts for Arsenal’s home tie against non-league Lincoln City due to illness, while Arsene Wenger revealed he hasn’t decided whether Mesut Ozil will be involved, with the German midfielder having only just recovered from a sickness bug himself.

Calum Chambers and Daniel Ayala will both miss tomorrow’s quarter-final against Manchester City, while George Friend is also expected to be sidelined due to a recurrence of a calf problem.

All this and more has now been updated in the Team News section ahead of tomorrow’s deadline. Keep an eye on our official Twitter Stream for breaking news – as the day unfolds, we will issue updates from Friday’s press conferences and refresh our Team News tab accordingly to keep you informed.

but its the likelihood and the explosiveness correlation. I know it because everytime Kane scored,I got a red arrow that week ,and so have people without Mane for past 3 weeks

Aguero, Diomande, Phillips, Sterling -> Lukaku, Llorrente, Antonio, Coutinho
for -12, too crazy? Drop the diomande move?

    Mane Sigurdsson
    Diomande*

I would. You'll be -6 wore off if they all play and blank but the more realistic scenario is you will be 10-20 points up. They are all good for the coming weeks too.

    Hi Guys,

Posted early and got some really helpful advice, revisited my wildcard and am thinking the following,

    Jaku,
    Brunt, Robertson, Fernandez, Coleman
    Coutinho, King, Antonio, Mane, Carroll,
    Llorente

    Bench: Pickford, Alonso, Costa, Kane

My concerns are the lack of Sigs and Lukaku, Are they 'essential' for this gameweek seeing im on my wildcard?
It is just that it allows me perfect funds for Brunt, Coutinho and King out for Hazard, Alli and Walker.

Any advice will be appreciated. I will go through your comments above now.

Not convinced Siggy will go big against a resurgent Hull - not in the best form, reckon he might come away with 5-7 points so not essential. Big Rom could go either way but think he's more likely to hurt non-owners than Siggy.

Interestingly rate my team suggests D. Barkley would be the best move out of these:
    A. Kun > Llorente (-4)

    B. Kun > Carroll (-4)

    C. Phillips > Lanzini (-4)

    D. Phillips > Barkley (-4)

Hi all, so doing a -4 to get Lukaku and Coutinho in for Aguero and Sterling so will bring me to 11 for the GW.

      Jakupovic
      Baines - Coleman - Brunt - Daniels - Mawson
      Mane - Coutinho - Sigurdsson - King
      Lukaku
      SUBS: Kane, Eriksen, Crouch

My concern is Coutinho - is Firminho the better option?

I'd bring in Coutinho. Liverpool's fixtures are better than City's and they have an extra one this week. Coutinho has looked superb in the last 2, and is unlucky not to have more points. Coutinho also isnt a rotation risk to the same degree as Sterling.

        Great squad btw.

Reposted, need some help guys as I lost my ML 1st spot tht I had since GW1.

      Heaton [ Pickford ]
      FM Brunt Robertson Amat* [Alonso]
Firmino Siggy Phillips [ Ericksen Sterling ]
      Luk [ Costa Aguero ]

0 FT. Phillips gotta go. I can't get Mane/Coutinho unless

      Would you :

      A. Kun , Phillips -> Llorente , Mane? Is it worth doing if about to get Llorent to Kane next GW? [ -8 , effectively a -4]
      B. Kun, Sterling, Phillips --> King, Kane , Mane ? [ -12 , effectively a - 8 ] - getting Kane early to enable getting Mane.
      C. Kun, Sterling, Phillips --> King, Llorente, Mane ? [-12 but effectively a -6 ] and next week Costa/Llorente to Kane for free.
      D. Phillips to King only and play with 7 players.
