FFS Cup

FFScout Cups – Results and Third Round Draws

Our two Fantasy Football Scout cup competitions are progressing at lightning pace as we look back on the events of the midweek’s second round and ahead to round three, which kicks off on Saturday.

There were mixed fortunes for some former winners of our open to all cup, with reigning champion A Manager Has No Name among those to go through to the next round. He saw off community regular Krul runnings to set himself up with a clash with What Divock?!, who, with an overall rank of 69,987, is 42,738 places higher.

Among the other champions, Wild Rover and Donnellyc also prevailed, as did Mark, who squares up to tkmlim.

Of this trio, Mark – who is ranked 542 overall – can feel the most confident, given that his opponent is placed 66,102 places behind him.

However, the same cannot be said of 42,422-ranked Wild Rover, who faces the cup’s highest placed manager pitstop1 – he sits in 123rd spot.

There is also a seismic gap in the tie involving 284,826-ranked donnellyc and his opponent Who Divock Is Origi, who is comfortably in the top 10,000 at 6,139.

Sadly, I exit at this early stage, with Not Much Klopp’s score of 70 proving too much for my 50-point tally. Gribude joins me through the door, after being defeated 56-50 by Footopia.

Joining Mark as one of our live Hall of Fame representatives to survive is Dronny Imp, aka David Meechan, who progressed past Legomane 65-59 to take on Jurgen Can Karius, who, at 931,186, is the clear underdog given David’s pedigree and current 4,767 rank.

Another elite manager to make the cut is My Pretty Pony, aka Peter Kouewenberg, who is third in our live Hall of Fame and earns a third round encounter with Prophet.

This is another favourable clash for one of our top veterans, given that Peter’s opponent is ranked 262,527 places below his 1,567 ranking.

Top Marx, whose regular community analysis of the Hall of Fame involves some enlightening conversations with Peter, also makes it through and takes on Citizen Z.

The full third round draw can be found here.

Meanwhile, in our Members cup there will be a new name on the trophy after both former winners were dispatched.

Fuzzy Dunlop was beaten 60—56 by community veteran Parm, while Trigg was sent packing by Fenghh.

Billy Ketsu had a week to forget, after losing his place at the summit of the FFScout Members league and tasting defeat in his cup draw against Doctor 101.

Sleep Talk, who was beaten in round one of the open to all cup by Mark, is having better luck in the Members Cup, where he overcame Ma3jdw. This 38,164-ranked manager will now face 52,905-placed AT in the third round.

Another eye catching tie is community regulars FrankieTheGent and Hybrid.power’s clash.

There is also the chance of a giant killing for 56,534 ranked Rickytoso, who squares up to the Members cup’s highest-ranked manager Pukka, who is placed at 78th in the world.

The full third round draw can be found here.

There is £350 in Amazon.com or Amazon.co.uk vouchers up for grabs for the final top three managers in both tournaments.

Good luck to all those involved and if you would like more information on the schedule and prizes click this link.

I have all three and that armband is tattoed on Aguero.

He's had an odd season, but Fantasy Aguero seems back in swing. And when that happens, you captain him at home v. Hull.

Hello, season has been going well recently and I'm finally into the top 5k for the first time - but this week feel genuinely stumped over my transfer and would be really grateful for any thoughts...

    Jaku / Pickford
    Alonso / Valencia / McAuley / Mawson / Maguire
    Sanchez / Alli / Coutinho / Siggy / King
    Vardy / Lukaku / Gabbiadini

    1FT, £1.7 ITB, WC & BB intact

Will prob WC in week of Ars/Sou double, so just need to stumble through until then. Can see so many options, but have doubts about all of them - especially as although I don't think Vardy and Lukaku are the best choices for this gameweek, both could punish me if I get rid. Gab is weighing me down, got him in just before his injury and keep hanging onto him but it's unclear when the hell he's returning - could ditch now and get him back on WC if needed.

    A. Vardy/Lukaku > Ibra

    B. Gab > Barnes, Vardy/Lukaku > Aguero (-4)

    C. Gab > fodder (Anichebe?), Vardy / Lukaku > Aguero / Ibra (-8)

    D. Gab > Origi

    E. Gab > Origi, King > Sane/Sterling (-4)

    F. Something else (e.g. downgrade Alonso to Gibson, use money in attack?)

    G. Save

Sorry for mega-splurge. Suggestions gratefully appreciated!

      Probably 36.

Hi all, what are Llorente owners doing?
I've just been on a swansea forum and there's a few posters suggesting he has a 'blood problem' and that he will miss the rest of the season.
Obviously theres no official source but here's the page: http://www.fansnetwork.co.uk/football/swanseacity/forum/192639/llorente-blood-issues/#3

Looking at fixtures and form, would you get rid of Siggy or Lanzini first?

    Swansea looks worrying don't they?

Or shall I ship Costa first? He is disappointing and Hazard is running the show now.

    Cheers!

not sure about last night, but at the weekend Lanzini was very deep, had one speculative shot from outside the box all game

          7 years, 1 month ago

makes sense, but reckon there are pros and cons between lanzini and siggy (see the reply below).

          Fixture-wise Lanzini is slightly better.

    2. Aubaaaaa
      • 7 Years
      7 years, 1 month ago

      I have the exact dilemma.

Swansea seems to be in a bad shape. But Siggy experienced a drought for a few games. Then he came back to form shortly after.

I'm giving Lanzini one more chance. He performs better at home. See how he does this weekend.

So my decision on the both of them is to hold, wait and see.

    Hi guys 🙂

1)Vardy Costa Lorente to Kaku Aguero and Barnes/Anichebe for (-8). (Long term)
    2) And then captain Aguero over Kaku and Ali. It will be a close call. I wont be surprised if Kaku gets 20 points again. Your thoughts? 🙂

Plan to play 4-4-2 again. The plan for 4-3-3 with Llorent or Gabi isnt working obviously.

Pedro > Son for FT? Yay or Nay?

Got concerns Pedro could be rested against Bournemouth.

If nothing else pressing then looks ok, just be wary of Kane's near return. Not sure I'd want Son myself.

      Valdes

      Valencia Baines Alonso

      Pedro Siggy Alli Sanchez

      Kun(C) Benteke Lukaku

Subs Jaku De Roon Brunt Amat

      1 FT 0itb

Brunt needs to go before the double but not sure what else is of concern atm. Like Son's fixtures for next 3

Is Costa and Llorente to Ageuro and Origi worth a -4?

Nah. Llorente against West Ham is much better than Origi against Stoke.

      Not sure about Aguerro
