Dugout Discussion – Arsenal vs Brighton

The first of three Sunday fixtures gets underway at 12pm as Arsenal entertain Brighton.

Alexandre Lacazette boasts some fine home form ahead of the Seagulls clash, with four goals in his first three outings at the Emirates.

The Frenchman is the most captained player for today’s match and third overall in the Gameweek, with 4.5% of Fantasy Premier League managers handing him the armband.

Alexis Sanchez claimed his first returns of the season last Monday against the Baggies and has another chance to audition for those wildcarding over the forthcoming break.

As has Aaron Ramsey – at 7.0, he’s bagged points in all of the Gunners’ home matches so far.

At the back, Arsenal have racked up three straight clean sheets and will face Watford, Everton and Swansea after today’s match. They’ll need to make do without Laurent Koscielny this lunchtime, though, as the Frenchman misses out with a recurrence of an Achilles problem.

Pascal Gross has been the Seagull’s star performer over the opening six.

Priced at 5.7, the German has played a part in four of their five goals and another contribution today could see his 13% ownership rise further.

      Prefer this to him standing still and playing a 5 yard inside pass every time.

      It's positive isn't it. I'd rather have him like this than not have him and feel the urge to bring him in. 🙂

      He's getting clean sheet points and has some attacking threat. I am fine with him. Better than Mendy.

        Obviously happy if he keeps the clean sheet but you always hope for those attacking points. Seems to be more involved at the moment though

      A while ago it was 50-50 decision between Kola and Alonso, went with Alonso. Since then:

      Kola: 11, 5, 6, BHA (22+BHA)
      Alonso: 2, 6, 0, 2 (10)

      I decided to look it up because I knew I'd picked wrong but yikes.

    Early thoughts on these options?

    A - Duffy, Mkhi, Lukaku ----> Davies, Silva, Jesus (-4)
    B - Duffy, Mkhi, Abraham ----> Davies, Silva, bench 4.5m striker (-4)
    C - Duffy, Mkhi ----> Davies, Richarlison

      I wouldn't, Monreal got the attacking points today but it's very obvious that Kolasinac will get more throughout the season

      I'm tempted because of freeing up funds but he is a real threat and over the course will probably outscore Nacho. Will be better when Sanchez goes as he never wants to pass to Kola.
