FFS Cup

FFS Cups – Entry Now Open

Fantasy Football Scout are delighted to announce our Fantasy Premier League Cup competitions.

We are launching our 15th open-to-all tournament, along with an eighth competition for Members. Both tournaments have £300 in prizes on offer.

Sign-up for the open tournament can be found here.

Members can sign up to both tournaments, via entry forms here and here.

The roll call of former cup winners looks like this: donnellyc, Jonty, Gribude, Goonerdave, Ninja_Fit_Saints, sleeping master, Mch, Wild Rover, Tdubb05 , CMIFLFC, Mark, Leon Harris, A Manager Has No Name and our reigning champion, Sleepysi.

As former winners, those listed will gain a bye to the first round of the tournament should they enter with the same username.

In our Members Cup, our winners list is as follows:

Waltzingmatildas, Fuzzy Dunlop, Kippax Kickers Acquafresca, Trigg Ola Svanheld and the current champion, Malaikat Jahad.

Again, those listed above will gain a bye to the first round proper of the Members Cup should they enter with the username listed.

If you’re new to our cup competitions, read on for an FAQ, offering all the details.

How do the Cup Competitions Work?

The FFS Cup is very similar to the Fantasy Premier League’s own Fantasy Cup game.

Entrants who qualify for the first round will be randomly drawn against each other and the winner of the tie is whoever has the highest score from that Gameweek, minus points spent on transfers (like in the original game and in head-to-head scores).

In the event of a tie, the manager highest in the overall FPL rankings after the tie will progress.

When do they start?

The qualifying round for the Fantasy Football Scout Cup will take place in Gameweek 15, with the first round poper running in Gameweek 16.

Fantasy managers can enter their teams from now right up to 10.30am on Monday December 4, when we’ll stop entries and make the first round draws shortly after.

The qualifying round for the Members Cup will take place week later in Gameweek 16, with the first round running in Gameweek 17.

Fantasy managers can enter their teams from now right up to 10.30am on Monday December 11, when we’ll stop entries and make the first round draws shortly after.

Previous winners must enter with the same usernames listed above to gain their bye.

How do I enter?

Enter the open-to-all FFS Cup via the entry form here.

Enter the FFS Members Cup via the entry form here. This form is only visible to Members and you will need to log into the Members’ area to view the form.

You will be sent a confirmation email to verify your entry and you’ll be asked to confirm your FPL team id at the point of entry – please be sure to click the link to verify that your team is correct before confirming. If you FPL team is incorrectly entered, we cannot amend this at a later date.

You entry is only completed once you have confirmed your FPL team Id as part of the process.

To check that you’re entered correctly, please scan the list of entries.

The open-to-all FFS Cup list is here.

The Members FFS Cup list is here.

How do I find my FPL team Id?

Your FPL Id is your unique Id for your FPL team. This is found via your Gameweek History page – the link to which is found in the right hand menu under your FPL team strip. When you visit your Gameweek History you will see a number in the URL (as opposed to the XXX below).

https://fantasy.premierleague.com/a/entry/XXX/history

Place this 1-7 digit number, or your Gameweek History URL, in the FPL id field on the entry form.

When will I find out if I’ve qualified?

Results from the Fantasy Football Scout Cup qualifying round will be published shortly after December 4 and then weekly, after the completion of each Gameweek, from that point on.

Results from the Members Cup qualifying round will be published shortly after December 11 and then weekly, after the completion of each Gameweek, from that point on.

Different fixtures and no -4 then 100% yes, but I query whether for this gameweek only Sane will outscore Eriksen by 4 pts with those fixtures.

Surely Alli has to go? Eriksen is far more productive.

A good question - will have to keep and eye on press conferences as he only returned from injury last week.

But seems pretty central to Arsenal's defence. And when we was fit earlier in the season, he did play 4 consecutive matches before being injured.

Other options - Daniels? A punt on Dunn?

Maybe Daniels is safer, a little bit expensive, but still goal/ass tread. Dann has 12 games and 13 points :), havent seen worse score, dont have balls 4 that. cheeers

    Elliott, Myhill
    Azpi, Mee, Jones*, Naughton, Mbemba*
    Salah, Sterling, Richarlison, RLC, Carroll*
    Morata, Lukaku, Kane

    A) Jones to Mustafi
    B) Jones and Naughton to Mustafi and Daniels -4
    C) Jones and Sterling to Dann and Sane -4 (or any other 4.7 or less defender)
    D) Anything else?

Really not sure what to do here:

    Elliot (fab)

    Ward naughton Moreno

    Richarlison salah sterling silva

    Kane (c) Kaku Vardy

    Fab, Carrol, jones, 3.9

    1ft 0.itb

Should I save? So I can use 2FT next week to bring in some Mor/Hazard and ship vardy,

Or any suggestions? All I can think is sterling > pogba as I’m not confident he’ll play.

    Help appreciated!

It's a car crash. Seems silly not to take at least 1 hit, as I only got 8 players out last week (thank you Burnley for saving my GW from oblivion)

    Elliot (Pope)
    Otamendi Ward Fernandez Gomez* (Jones*)
    Salah Sterling* Richarlison (Carroll* Carrick*)
    Kane Kun* Morata

    0FT £0.1m

    a) Jones > Daniels (-4)

I think there are teams in worst states if you look around, it’s carnage on here.

There was a good hot topic recently on the benefits of well timed hits... have a read.

In your position I’d be desperately looking to improve defence and midfield, that would start with downgrading Kun to free up cash

      1. Pegboy
        • 13 Years
        6 years, 5 months ago

Thanks. I was very close to doing a -8 last week, which would've been meant a net gain of 9 points (and left me in a much, much better position now), so I'm keen not to make the same mistake again. Most of my bad decisions this year have been related to delaying decisions (e.g. bringing in Salah; shipping Mkhi) rather than impetuousness.

Feels like the midfield is due a big upgrade, and Kun is the obvious place to start.

        Option E) Kun + Carrick > Mane + Wilson (0.7ITB)

Moses is back in training so Zappacosta could be rotated too .. games are coming thick and fast .. there will be heavy rotation for 2 CB slots between Luiz, Cahill, Ruediger & Christensen.. looks only high priced and highly owned Alonso & Azpilicueta are nailed.

This. Kola will run hot and cold, and there are plenty of other defenders in his price bracket who can outperform him. And Pogba has the same issue: Silva and Sane and Sterling and Coutinho, etc. are all in the same bracket and could be stronger choices given the fixtures.

    2. Forza Juventus
      • 9 Years

Definitely think all are good long term, Pogba plays 90s consistently as does Morata. Both threats. Kolasinac defends for a good enough team and has attacking promise, only downside is a little pricey. Sane is fantastic and pre-Mendy return hes a definite keeper too.

    Mustafi 5.4 vs Moreno 4.6

Former has good next 2 fixtures, which with Jones out and City rotation I might need him.

Latter has Chelsea next but then very good run, however looking at CS's for Liverpool they've done better against the big teams.
Moreno much cheaper too, will enable a more expensive player in later GW's.
Moreno never gets in the box per heatmap but plenty of corner action so chances for assists.

      (Mustafi is 5.3)

Ota, Ward, Bailly (75%), Kiko (75%), (Non player)
    Silva, Sane, RLC, Gross, Richarlison
    Morata, Kane, Lukaku

    1FT, 0.1 ITB

I have 2 defenders on a 75% and one non player on the bench. What do you think, should I chance that one of the two 75% will make it?

    Any recommendations for this bunch?

    Elliot, Speroni
    Moreno, Mee, Naughton, Dunk, Cedric
    Silva, Salah, Sterling, Richarlison, Carroll
    Kane, Lukaku, Vardy

Thinking Sterling > Pogba. Anything better?

I'd want rid of Cedric eventually but considering you probably won't play him this week Sterling > Pogba looks solid

This week is exactly the reason I’ve kept Cedric so long, most of the cheapies have awful fixtures

    My defence is
    Monreal l Azpi l Ward l Bavies l Jones
Is there any need to do Jones > Otamendi for -4?
Other bench is RLC + Niasse

Abraham to Wilson worth a hit, or just go with RLC if Tammy can't play?

    1) Azpi Moreno
    2) Christensen Ota

    Have Daniels and Mee already.

    Other options - Mustafi?

who would you drop this weekend? (I don't prefer buying back the players)

    A) Jones (for D.Sanchez or Walker)
    B) Ritchie (for Choupo or Fabregas)

      A

We don't know when Jones will be back and Ritchie has a nice fixture.

Think I can get away without doing Davies>Vertonghen this week. So would you roll the FT for Monday? Planning on either Morata or Hazard in for Firmino or Sterling.

Tempted to do Bailly>Otamendi. Utd have 6 CB options now. It's going to be a lottery. Think if had the best out of him.

    Foster
    Davies Bailly Kolasanic
    Salah Sterling Silva Gross
    Kane Firmino Diouf

    Myhill Carroll Mee Suttner

Any thoughts chaps? Was sold on Sterling -> Pogba and working towards a 3-5-2 with Azpilicueta and Gross but Jones' injury has put a spanner in the works! 1 FT, 0.3 in the bank...

    De Gea
    Daniels, Mee, Mariappa
    Salah, Sterling, Silva, Richarlison
    Morata, Kane, Vardy

    (Elliot, RLC, Hegazi, JONES)

    A) Sterling -> Pogba
    B) Jones & Vardy -> Otamendi/Azpiliceuta & Quaner (3-5-2) (-4)
    C) RLC & Vardy -> Pogba & Quaner (3-5-2) (-4)

    Cheers.

A or save transfer. Wouldn't sell Vardy for a hit when he's playing West Ham.
