FFS Cup

FFS Cups – Entry Now Open

Fantasy Football Scout are delighted to announce our Fantasy Premier League Cup competitions.

We are launching our 15th open-to-all tournament, along with an eighth competition for Members. Both tournaments have £300 in prizes on offer.

Sign-up for the open tournament can be found here.

Members can sign up to both tournaments, via entry forms here and here.

The roll call of former cup winners looks like this: donnellyc, Jonty, Gribude, Goonerdave, Ninja_Fit_Saints, sleeping master, Mch, Wild Rover, Tdubb05 , CMIFLFC, Mark, Leon Harris, A Manager Has No Name and our reigning champion, Sleepysi.

As former winners, those listed will gain a bye to the first round of the tournament should they enter with the same username.

In our Members Cup, our winners list is as follows:

Waltzingmatildas, Fuzzy Dunlop, Kippax Kickers Acquafresca, Trigg Ola Svanheld and the current champion, Malaikat Jahad.

Again, those listed above will gain a bye to the first round proper of the Members Cup should they enter with the username listed.

If you’re new to our cup competitions, read on for an FAQ, offering all the details.

How do the Cup Competitions Work?

The FFS Cup is very similar to the Fantasy Premier League’s own Fantasy Cup game.

Entrants who qualify for the first round will be randomly drawn against each other and the winner of the tie is whoever has the highest score from that Gameweek, minus points spent on transfers (like in the original game and in head-to-head scores).

In the event of a tie, the manager highest in the overall FPL rankings after the tie will progress.

When do they start?

The qualifying round for the Fantasy Football Scout Cup will take place in Gameweek 15, with the first round poper running in Gameweek 16.

Fantasy managers can enter their teams from now right up to 10.30am on Monday December 4, when we’ll stop entries and make the first round draws shortly after.

The qualifying round for the Members Cup will take place week later in Gameweek 16, with the first round running in Gameweek 17.

Fantasy managers can enter their teams from now right up to 10.30am on Monday December 11, when we’ll stop entries and make the first round draws shortly after.

Previous winners must enter with the same usernames listed above to gain their bye.

How do I enter?

Enter the open-to-all FFS Cup via the entry form here.

Enter the FFS Members Cup via the entry form here. This form is only visible to Members and you will need to log into the Members’ area to view the form.

You will be sent a confirmation email to verify your entry and you’ll be asked to confirm your FPL team id at the point of entry – please be sure to click the link to verify that your team is correct before confirming. If you FPL team is incorrectly entered, we cannot amend this at a later date.

You entry is only completed once you have confirmed your FPL team Id as part of the process.

To check that you’re entered correctly, please scan the list of entries.

The open-to-all FFS Cup list is here.

The Members FFS Cup list is here.

How do I find my FPL team Id?

Your FPL Id is your unique Id for your FPL team. This is found via your Gameweek History page – the link to which is found in the right hand menu under your FPL team strip. When you visit your Gameweek History you will see a number in the URL (as opposed to the XXX below).

https://fantasy.premierleague.com/a/entry/XXX/history

Place this 1-7 digit number, or your Gameweek History URL, in the FPL id field on the entry form.

When will I find out if I’ve qualified?

Results from the Fantasy Football Scout Cup qualifying round will be published shortly after December 4 and then weekly, after the completion of each Gameweek, from that point on.

Results from the Members Cup qualifying round will be published shortly after December 11 and then weekly, after the completion of each Gameweek, from that point on.

Something crazy like this has definitely crossed my mind.

The logic behind it for me is getting in nailed, long term players in and not nailed players out. That being said, I don't know if Mustafi and Niasse are long term players because Arsenal are Arsenal and Everton will get a new manager in soon who might not fancy Niasse just as Koeman didn't. The ban also does not help

Well I think Arsenal are more likely to score than Newcastle, especially after their performance last week. They should be on a confidence wave.

Newcastle Palace i expect high scoring.

Which is the better pick considering rotation/price:
    A) Wilson

I have the cash for Wilson now but the extra 1m from getting Niasse would be super helpful. And yeah I agree about DCL, but is there not a risk Wilson gets rotated/eased back in?

Check out the team news tab under Chelsea.

It says that Kane will be playing in central midfield for them this weekend.

When did he move and switch positions?

I mean Erik and Kaku have good fixture and so does Sterling (if he plays). You wanna double on Chelsky vs a Pool that defends good at home. Maybe good moves next week, but not so sure even than. For example if Sterling gets low minutes this week he almost certainly gets a start in GW14

And Pogba has 2 good and 2 bad fixtures in the next 4, so Sterling can easily match/outscore him in this short stretch.

If money were no object, what would the ideal team going forward be?

de Gea seems like the best option among the goalkeepers, earning save and bonus points to a greater extent than the other premium goalkeepers, in addition to clean sheets.

In defence, Alonso and Walker look like obvious candidates. Perhaps double-up on Chelsea defenders with Azpilicueta. Kolasinac is one to consider, perhaps also a Spurs defender.

The midfield would probably be something like the following.
    Hazard–Salah–Sané–Coutinho–Silva/Pogba

In attack, Kane, Lukaku and Morata? Or could Agüero be a better option than one of those, despite not playing all the games?

I thought this could be interesting to look at, but that might just be me.

Trippier is a great candidate from the Spurs defence, depending on the rotation policy with Aurier. But since Valencia, Walker, Alonso or Bailly will be on the bench, that shouldn’t be a problem.

Sanchez is an obvious candidate since we know what he’s capable of when he hits form.

        Thanls for the reply!

Indeed, that looks pretty similar to what I would end up choosing. I think I would go with both de Bruyne and Sanchez at the expense of Pogba, since I actually could bench Sanchez in some games (that’s some luxury).

        de Gea (Lloris)
        Alonso–Walker–Kolasinac (Davies–Valencia)
        Hazard–de Bruyne–Salah–Sané (Sanchez)
        Kane–Lukaku–Morata

Interesting that you have no room for Morata, but I see the point in rather having Alonso, Azpilicueta and Hazard.

de Bruyne is a great option, of course, wouldn’t be surprised if he ends up as the number one overall scorer in the game due to security of game time and goal involvement in a pretty free-scoring City team.

It’ll be interesting to see how Sanchez will be doing in the coming weeks—definitely one to consider with the Free Hit or Triple Captain if Arsenal gets some good double gameweeks.

        Thanks for the reply, mate!

Having some trouble figuring out which transfer(s) would be best for this team:

    Elliott - Pope
    Alonso - Jones* - Gomez* - Fernandez - Dunk
    Salah - Silva - Sane - Richarlison - Carroll*
    Kane - Morata - Diouf*
    ITB: 0,8

Thinking maybe Jones --> Mustafi and later Carroll + Diouf --> Niasse + Gross, would you do anything different?

Any comments appreciated on this headache!

    A) Keep Aguero (Joselu comes in it he doesn't play.)
    B) Aguero > Lukaku -4
    C) Aguero > Morata -4 (good long term move but a week early. Liv home def is strong.)
    D) Aguero > Wilson

    Already have Kane.

So much! If he plays though, then he'll most likely score or assist, so I think he's worth holding onto for at least a GW or 2

Assuming Abraham was fully fit, would you start him at the weekend or Loftus-Cheek instead?
