Free Yahoo FFS Holiday Cup

Fantasy Football Scout have teamed up with partner game Yahoo to set up the inaugural Holiday Cup contest.

Free to enter, this is a single-entry contest and there’s a total of £500 up for grabs in the contest, which takes place over the next four Gameweeks.

Scoring will be cumulative over the four rounds and your one lowest score will be dropped – that means you can afford to have an off-day and still profit.

The top 20 overall will earn winnings, with £50 going to the manager at the summit.

And the top 15 entries per round also receive prizes, with the top scorer from each of the four Gameweek rounds winning £10.

Crucially, it gets underway on Saturday December 23 at 12.45pm, when Everton entertain Chelsea at Goodison Park and finishes on Wednesday January 3, when Arsenal host Chelsea.

This means that, over the span of Gameweek 19-22, there are two Premier League matches excluded from the Yahoo FFS Holiday Cup contest – Arsenal vs Liverpool on Friday December 22 in Gameweek 19 and Spurs vs West Ham on Thursday January 4 in Gameweek 22.

The starting times of each round are as follows:

Round 1 – Saturday December 23 at 12.30pm
Round 2 – Tuesday December 26 at 12.30pm
Round 3 – Saturday December 30 at 3.00pm
Round 4 – Monday January 1 at 12.30pm

Please remember that Fantasy managers must select a new team for each Gameweek before the round gets underway.

To get involved, click here.

We’ve previously published a Strategy Guide on the Yahoo game, though later in the week, we’ll also offer analysis on some of the overlooked players who have fared well in their Opta-driven scoring system to help you further.

For those yet to register, you can open an account and get started immediately.

You must be over 18 years of age, resident in the UK, and of legal capacity to register with Yahoo Daily Sports and open an Account. If you sign up, please always play responsibly.

      I have those five, too, and will likely captain Coutinho or Salah. If I sell Hazard for a Man City mid, I may captain that mid instead.

          Sure, I was referring to my potential desire to sell...If you are holding your attackers, then I would capt Salah or Cout. While Arsenal was banged up last time they hosted Pool, it was a high scoring game, and maybe that will be repeated. Fingers crossed.

    How long before we start seeing super-teams now with 3-5-2 & 7 big hitters attacking? With the affordability of Sané-Sterling-Silva-Pogba-Coutinho... I think we'll see a lot of them paired up with Salah-Hazard-Kane, and the odd KDB thrown in for good measure.

    It's the second striker slot that's still up for grabs, Firmino & Benteke both look good for it now instead of Morata

    Have a few transfers planned over next few weeks.

    Pope - De Gea
    Hazard - De Bruyne
    Maguire - Otamendi

    Have Ward and need to downgrade to a cheaper defender. Who's the better option?

    - Holgate (4.2)
    - Masuaku (4.4)
    - Ogbonna (4.4)

    Cheers

    What to do with this team, I am really confused right now:

    Fabianski, (Elliot)
    Otamendi, Christensen, Kolasinac (TARKOWSKI, 3.9)
    Shaqiri, Richarlison, Hazard, Salah (Lanzini)
    Kane, Morata, Crouch

    0.1 ITB and 1 FT. I feel like I really have to get City attackers (Got rid of Silva before the united game fml), and I would also love to get Pogba in. Does anyone have any updates regarding Kolasinac, is he really benched, if that is the case i feel that I have to do A):

    A) Kolasinac --> Jones
    B) Tarkowski --> Masuaku
    C) Kolasinac + Shaq --> Pogba + Masuaku (-4)
    D) Kolasinac + Richarlison --> Masuaki + D.Silva (-4)
    E) Kolasinac + Lanzini --> Sterling + Masuaku (-4)

        could be, but Wenger has played last two matches with a four man backline so could be Monreal left back as well. Wilshere is a little more sound defensively than Ramsey, could be therefore he plays with new (his old) formation. at 6.2 there should be no question wether he starts or not.
