6 years, 4 months agoJust watched some of the City Liverpool game again. It seemed to me Pool was able to defeat City by pressing high and cutting off the passing lanes to their key players which forced City's defenders in uncomfortable situations and made them play a lot of long balls to their wingers. Also, they fought really hard for the second ball and were rather strong with their finishing. Will be interested to see if other teams will try to do this to them although the only ones capable of doing it are probably the other top six teams.
