Dugout Discussion – Man City vs Newcastle

Saturday ends at the Etihad Stadium where Manchester City bid to recover from their defeat at Anfield with three points over Newcastle United.

In Fantasy terms we have three of the top seven captain picks on show in the City attack.

Sergio Aguero leads the way with 581,000+ (10.3%) backers who will hope that he can deliver on an incredible record against the Magpies.

The Argentinian averages a goal or assist every 31 minutes against Newcastle in home matches, though he has just a single goal in his last four Gameweeks.

Kevin De Bruyne sports 178,000 armbands (3.1%) as he goes into the game with three assists in his last five; his last goal came back in Gameweek 18.

Meanwhile, Raheem Sterling – who was surprisingly sold by 108,000 ahead of Gameweek 24 – has the support of 152,000 managers as he bids to add to his tally of nine goals on home turf.

    I opted for Firmino and Mahrez, instead of Aguero and Albrighton.

      Aguero and Albrighton probably better this week, definitely if you would've captained Aguero. Probably a transfer saved down the line though.

      Niasse, FPL-wise could be the best third striker in the game EASILY... hell he could even make a nice Duo with one of Kane or Aguero if only the guy can freakin get more than his usual 15 or 0 mins

      Top 10k effective ownership for Kane this week is 140 and for Salah it's 112. Mini-leagues aside, if you captained Kun and also have Kane and Salah in your team, shouldn't you be hoping they blank tomorrow in order to maximize your OR?

      Feel for you Christiansen owners, been so unlucky. Sometimes you just get certain players who are just a jinx to your team and you're better off just getting rid, I remember Kolarov doing very similar things to us all a couple of years ago, and I see Stones seems to be doing his best at acquiring a similar status now

        I think the template team is starting to crack. Especially the midfield players. Lingard, Sterling, TOT players have tough 3 games coming after SOU, Man City defence with Zinchenko and even Stones is looking not so good anymore. Time to look for some other players.
