Was quite annoying for me last night, what could have been a 23 point diff going into last two gameweeks became 41. Arsenal didn't deliver (and Fabianski did for my rival).

Anyone care to advise as I try to make up a huge gap? (highly improbable I know)

    Mignolet
    Bellerin | Terry | Monreal
    Silva | Carzorla (C) | Hazard | Sterling
    Kane | Aguero | Vardy

    Bench: Davis, Baines, Rose, Walters.

    1 FT, 1 million ITB.

I don't mind taking hits, I know its a gamble so might as well. Any thoughts?

    (I had planned:

    Baines + Sterling + Belerin/Monreal - OUT
    Kolorov + Sanchez + 4.1 defender - IN

    does that sound carp? lol)

Well, who are his arsenal players?

Buy one he doesn't have, and captain one he doesn't have too.

If your primary aim is really to catch him and you're not worried about overall rank, you might want to even avoid sanchez if he has him. This is a bad idea for your expectation, BUT it gives you more chance of overhauling the lead if you get lucky.

Thanks for the replies, he has:

        Fabianski
        Lescott | Clyne | Cahill
        Cazorla | Hazard | Eriksen | Silva | Fellaini
        Kane | Aguero

Bench: Gilks, Zamora, Baird, Wilkinson. 0.7 ITB

(I dont think he can afford Sanchez) Any ideas please?

It all depends on your rivals team...if he has Sanchez or gets Sanchez then I don't see the point in you getting him too. You need differentials at this stage (Sun forwards, maybe Giroud)

If I was wildcarding right now I'd probably go for:

      Ramsey
      Sanchez
      Giroud

As it stands I will have Koscielny, Sanchez, Ozil

I did Sterling -> Ozil because of all the fuzz with Ramsey's "injury". Not a bad option but would prefer Ramsey.

It's a step into the unknown, but the possible negatives to Hazard do seem to be stacking up.

    Panti

Fab to Silva if it's free; if not then hold, but I'd probably put Cambiasso first sub (Southampton are all but finished for the season IMO - conceded 2 goals in each of last 4 games)

        • 12 Years

It would be for free yes, do City have anything else to play for? Same with Gerrard I suppose. Cambiasso could be first bench yes

I'd do Fab to Silva, Gerrard may get a penalty or header but I think Silva's more capable of a big haul (as he's shown this week).

Silva always trolls me but i get his appeal, do City have anything to fight for though? I guess the gerrard punt is more to have him one last time (gets small violin out)

Pretty much the same as they had to fight for this week and they did alright. I think they seem to play better when the pressure isn't on, they're capable of just strolling out and streamrolling teams.

Hi guys, I need some help...closed gap to my ML leader from 100pts to 50pts thanks to Aguero captain. Need another big week. My team:

    Panti
    Koscielny, Skrtel, Terry
    Sanchez, Sterling, Mata, Hazard
    Aguero, Kane, Vardy

    Bench: Courtois, Alderweireld, Wasilewski, Walters

I would assume that he'd do Hazard > Sanchez (c). How come you think he can't afford him? Having Caz (c) would be a good differential as you're likely to be facing Sanchez (c). Unlikely to pay off but that's the sort of thing you'll need to turn over a 41 point gap in 2 games. You could even not get in Sanchez and get Ozil instead and gamble against Sanchez. Unlikely to pay off but 41 is a lot of points so need to do something he won't expect. Even keeping Sterling isn't the worst plan as he has a decent fixture (albeit it awful form) and if it comes off you'll get points which he won't get. That's what it's all about really - you need as many players that he doesn't have (even if you've got the ones which are less likely to do well). Keeping Haz doesn't seem like a good plan anyway (for either of you) because of the rotation risk.

I'd also advise against hits for Sunderland defenders. You could maybe gamble on a Sunderland attacker for Kane or Vardy. Getting rid of Kane is risky as your rival has him and he has a decent fixture. However, if Kane blanks (again) and he only gets 2 points then your Sunderland attacker could claw back some of those points you need!

Him having Fabianski is a sore one! Don't think anyone anticipated 12 points from him yesterday

I'm ahead with 1 point in my ML. £1000 difference in first and second place.

    My team: 1FT 0,5m ITB

    Panti
    Bellerin, Terry, Fonte
HAZ, SANCHEZ (C), Eriksen, SILVA, Grealish
    KANE, AGUERO

    Krul, Moreno, Alder, Murray

(In caps the players we both have)

Can go Eriksen > Cazorla (Who he has)
    or Hazard > Özil

Considering getting in a Sunderland man as well. He only has Sanchez and Caz for DBG

    Any ideas?

      I'd do Eriksen->Ars mid + maybe Murray->SUN striker & drop Grealish.

Can you afford Ramsey/Ozil ? Don't do Caz if he has him

    Thinking the same thing.
Can drop Moreno to PvA and Eriksen to Özil
Or do Hazard, Murray > Özil and Wickham

Dropping Haz is dangerous considering the last round though.

Interesting to read that not only is Terry 'begging' to play but he's also desperate to beat his previous goal tally of 8 which he has currently equalled.

Always nice to hear of your players eager to score 🙂

    Opsin
    Terry / Was / Skrtel
    Silva / Coutinho / Sanchez / Ramsey
    Vardy / Kane / Aguero

    Myhill / Cambiasso / PvA / Yun

    3m ITB

    What FT should i do?
