Matt Phillips remains sidelined for West Brom’s trip to Everton, while Winston Reid and Jose Fonte are expected to be fit for West Ham’s visit to Bournemouth. Eddie Howe will make a late decision on Simon Francis but Kyle Naughton misses out for Swansea City’s clash against Hull City.
Tony Pulis revealed this morning that Matt Phillips has failed to recover from a hamstring injury in time to face Everton at Goodison Park tomorrow. The West Brom head coach also intimated, without naming names, that one or two players might be in need of a “little rest.”
Dominic Calvert-Lewin is available again for Everton’s home clash against West Bromwich Albion, but Muhamed Besic and Yannick Bolasie remain out for the Toffees.
A late decision is expected to be made on the fitness of Bournemouth captain Simon Francis, who has missed the Cherries’ last two matches due to a hamstring injury. Bournemouth will be without the suspended Tyrone Mings and Andrew Surman for the home fixture against West Ham United, while Junior Stanislas looks set to remain with a groin injury.
Winston Reid and Jose Fonte are expected to be available for West Ham United’s trip to Bournemouth, while Michail Antonio is back in contention after missing the 2-1 defeat to Chelsea due to suspension. Andy Carroll and Robert Snodgrass suffered cuts during Monday night’s 2-1 defeat to Chelsea, but they are set to be available.
Kyle Naughton has been ruled out for the trip to face Hull City, but Ki Sung-yeung and Jefferson Montero have returned to full training, and could be involved at the KCOM Stadium.
Roberto Firmino is a doubt for Liverpool’s clash with Burnley, with Jurgen Klopp confirming that the Brazilian is set to be assessed. Jordan Henderson and Daniel Sturridge remain out for Sunday’s match.
There are also four FA Cup quarter-finals over the next three days, with Premier League sides Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester City, Manchester United, Middlesbrough and Tottenham Hotspur all in action.
Danny Welbeck and Alex Iwobi are both doubts for Arsenal’s home tie against non-league Lincoln City due to illness, while Arsene Wenger revealed he hasn’t decided whether Mesut Ozil will be involved, with the German midfielder having only just recovered from a sickness bug himself.
Calum Chambers and Daniel Ayala will both miss tomorrow’s quarter-final against Manchester City, while George Friend is also expected to be sidelined due to a recurrence of a calf problem.
