Leicester winger Riyad Mahrez (£8.6m) was the highest scoring Fantasy Premier League player in the 2015/16 season, surprising almost everyone with 17 goals and 11 assists. He ended the Foxes’ audacious title-winning season with 240 points, which was 40 points more than his nearest midfield rival, Arsenal’s Mesut Ozil.
After a disappointing campaign last season, Mahrez is currently the sixth highest points scorer in the game. This begs the question: is the Mahrez of old back with us?
With Leicester’s fixtures looking very favourable (WAT, eve, SWA, mci, STK, BOU), this is a question worth answering. Indeed, assuming he doesn’t switch clubs in the January transfer window, Leicester’s remaining 15 fixtures look very promising with Manchester City, Arsenal and Spurs the only tricky encounters from now until the end of the season.

My top target currently, especially with those fixtures.
So far this season he's delivered returns against a range of teams but his three double digit hauls have come against easy sides - Swansea, Huddersfield and Brighton. Bodes well.
In contrast Vardy has scored against Liv, ManU, Tott, Everton, Liverpool, Huddersdield, Chelsea, Arsenal. So clearly prospers against better sides that attack and give him space.
