As Man United approach an eye-catching run of games which could potentially see Sir Alex Ferguson’s side rack up the Fantasy returns, Wayne Rooney has staked a strong claim for consideration after bagging a brace for the second Gameweek in succession. Rooney’s stock has suffered a significant drop this season due to the arrival of Robin Van Persie but as the campaign unfolds, he’s starting to look a real differential, with many Fantasy managers even considering both forwards for a run of games which sees the Red Devils welcome Sunderland, Newcastle and West Brom to Old Trafford, in addition to trips to Swansea and Wigan in the next five:
Definitely not, 2 players from a team in the top 4 is not excessive by any means

i'm sure the FPL system is and sentient being with artificial intelligence. i am convinced it changes the player values every second just to piss me off.
i am always, and i mean always, 0.1m short.Open ControlsI feel your pain.
Open ControlsMaybe they just keep taking 0.1 out of your account each week?
Open ControlsI heard a rumour that FPL started out with a basic neural network embedded into it. The simple instruction set enabled it to slowly learn and evolve at a speed far greater to natural evolution. Once it learned enough information, it started to become self aware. It's children have now spread across the country and has been subtly affecting the minds of all Premiership Footballers. When we refer to the FPL Gods, we are referring the FPL hive intelligence. It is watching. It is always watching.

It's a sign you need to choose someone else. FPL are giving you coded hints...
CHEAT!!!!!!!!Open Controls
Will Gunter come straight back into the Reading team?
Open ControlsWith respect to the author I think the most crucial information regarding Rooney's goal threat wasn't mentioned.
Anyone who watches Utd's every game will tell you; nothing has more influence on Rooney's fantasy points, than when Valencia is on the right wing.Open ControlsMy thoughts on Rooney v RVP having owned both earlier in the season -
- RVP more consistent, it's 2s or double figures with Rooney.
- Rooney better value IMO if kept long term.
- Hence it's feasible to choose Rooney over RVP BUT NOT as an automatic captain choice. RVP is, but minimizes your downside in captaincy choices, but costs you upside. It's up to you which you'd rather take.
Regarding doubling up -
- the real question is what Rooney's competition for the 2nd striker spot is.
- Those who could outperform him are Suarez, Ba, possibly Torres, Berbatov if he returns to #9.
- Those who probably can't are Tevez, Aguero, Giroud, Jelavic, etc.
- I think that's enough competition to stay away from Rooney unless you are getting them in as third strikers! If I don't go for my 4 at the back plan I will be tempted.Open Controlsit's like caz vs. walcott but much, much better
Open ControlsHaha, well, it helps they have a manager who doesn't pointlessly exclude one of them.
Open Controls
I don't have both for now, who would you get if I have neither?
Rooney surely?Open ControlsAs someone points out below he is helped by Valencia playing (service from the wing is crucial for him). Probably similar trend for young. Since both are available now I'd certainly get him now over RVP.
Open Controls
Best defender to get for 5.0 or less? Caulker?
Open ControlsLike his upcoming GW but the 4 after that are bad..will need to keep scoring and can't see that happening..still worth a consideration though.

"Foreign players to get cultural lessons to tackle racism"
Anyone spot the issue with this...Open ControlsA foreigner is not necessarily a different race..
Open Controlsactually it makes perfect sense, it says 'cultural lessons'. For example, a south american player like Suarez being given English cultural lessons would stop him from using a word acceptable in Uruguay but not acceptable here. It has nothing to do with Race, just how different cultures deal with race.... that's the idea of the lesson
Open Controls
:-). Brilliant.
Open ControlsVery funny!
You could argue you are treating all foreigners the same though irrespective of race.
I would be surprised if players from USA, France, Germany needed much "educating" yet they will be taught too.Open ControlsHmmm, maybe give the Germans a refresher course. Just in case...
Open Controls😆 open goal... that whole experience has made them incredibly aware of it.
Open Controls
I'd also argue there are a great number of English players who would benefit from such education though 😉
Open ControlsI think for at least the last generation the penalties for being labeled a racist in our society have been so high that they have that education right there.
It's not that they're better humans, just more fearful!Open ControlsNot really panning out like that in practice though, is it?
Open ControlsHave local players been perpetrators that often recently? The only major case that springs to mind is Terry, and proceedings were made against him, it wasn't ignored. He is a horrible human being, anyway.
Open Controls
funny when you say foreign, most people think african or south american. Not many people think scottish, irish or welsh
Open ControlsWhere's this taken from?
Open Controls- Open Controls
But turns up anyway in full kit and shin pads to collect his completion certificate.
Open Controls😀
Open Controlsdamn that means he will come back early and catch me humping his pillows. Cant help it, social conditioning
Open ControlsI'd stay away from his pillows. He probably humps them himself when Wayne Bridges' other 'alf ain't available. 😉

*Sessegnon > Dempsey (Bale when fit) my best move?
or
Ridgewell > Sagna/Caulker/Cameron
Begovic Mignolet
Rafael Ridgewell Cuellar Shorey Clyne
Theo Fellaini Michu Sessegnon Puncheon
RVP Suarez Berbatov
£2.6 in the ham shank.Open ControlsDo Fletcher (c)'ers deserve a 1 min cameo for being silly?
Open ControlsMichael Turner at 4.1 could be an absolute steal.
Open Controlshe's poo is my concern...
Open Controls
Did Valencia get re injured last week? Why did he get subbed off?
Open ControlsI'd say he doesn't know that himself yet...
Open Controls
Getting rid of sessegnon this weekend.
Want to get Bale back in, so if he's fit I will. If he's not, and assuming he will be fit the following weekend, who would you prefer as a 1 week punt.
A Valencia (SUN)
B Silva (new)
C Gerrard (AVL)
D Dempsey (SWA)
E Michu (TOT)Open ControlsAnyone else think Pool/Villa has 0-0 written all over it?
At present I'm playing Clark (as Demel and Cuellar are the other options) and Suarez. But Suarez could soon become Rooney.Open Controlsbehave. 4-0 LFC
Open Controls
Repost :Am I the only one with 4 tonight ?
Migs/Cuellar/ Sess pit (c)/ Shorey (fed as well !)Open ControlsWC team...
trying to convince myself I can hold on until Jan, but it means I have 8 GWs of bad team or big hits looming....
Szczesny / Jussi
Bassong / Rafael / Clyne /Enrique /Davies
Wilshere / Puncheon /Michu / Fellaini / Bale
Rooney / Suarez / Tevez
?Open Controlsreplace wilshere and i say go for it, dunno why people hold on this long
Open ControlsI think WC is a good idea, best to use it when you need wholesale changes than keeping it to be clever later. Team looks good too, although wilshere great player as he is might not be best option for fpl. Great looking team actually, bit jealous over here 😉
Open Controlswheres RVP hiding?
Open Controls
All I want from tonights match is an assist or 2 BPs from Shorey 🙁
Open Controls1-0. Cuellar long ball, Sessegnon takes it down, turns, shoots, Goooal!
Open Controls
Tempted by Silva > Bale for a hit...
Hmm...Open ControlsGuys, which team is likely to keep the most clean sheets over the season? West Ham, or Villa?
Open ControlsBig Sam's West Ham.
Open ControlsJust get another Stoke defender in, i have Cameron Shawcross and Begovic, they have at least another 2 clean sheets in them before new year wildcard
Open ControlsTerrible fixtures. 1 Stoke is enough right now.
Open ControlsHa Stoke will keep a clean sheet against Southampton and liverpool, and most likely against Everton this weekend, had more CS than any other club this season,
Open Controls
I can't afford a Stoke Defo 🙁
Open ControlsNot even Geoff?
Open Controls
RVP>Rooney
Johnson>Michu?
Trying to stay away from Michu, just think hes having a lucky season, but hes the difference between me and my mini league leaders, do i have to get him in.Open ControlsYeah lucky bugger that Michu. If it wasn't for him scoring, he wouldn't have any goals. 😯
Get him in.Open ControlsYou haven't gotten him in, and are going to bring him in now that his fixtures are drying up? I would put in a player with good fixtures and pressure the leader to take michu out. I think it's a bad move to play a strat and then switch when it's best part is coming up.
Open Controls
Will Ashley Young start on Saturday.
Open ControlsYes. He's just had his best game of the season in the toughest fixture.
Open ControlsIs Santa Claus real?
The truth is nobody knows these thingsOpen ControlsSomebody knows the answer to most things.
Open Controls
wait for presser. if SAF says he's two months away, he'll play.
Open Controls
bego,jussi
cameron,enrique,rafael,turner,cuellar
silva,walcott,michu,fellaini,guthrie(to save money)
rvp,holt,ba
rate my team...any changes needed???
opinions???Open ControlsAnyone have Bardsley or am I the only idiot owner?
Just wondering if he'll play tonight, I could do with an extra point!Open ControlsI have him. Hoping he doesn`t play tonight so I can justify taking him out for a hit.
Open Controls
Can Cleverley be a realistic option? Impressed apparently against City, seems to get in the right positions but just no end product
Open ControlsLike him, but too much rotation risk for my taste.
Open Controls
I want to sell
Ba in 17gw
Berbatov in 18gw
Sessegnon in 19gw
(or speed it up with -4pts)
which strikers?
Suarez or Rooney? and play Rooney and RVP?
6,3 in a bank
Jaaskelainen -Begovic
Rafael -Nelsen - Cameron - McAuley - Jose Enrique
Sterling - Fellaini - Sessegnon - Michu - Robson-Kanu
Berbatov - Ba - Van PersieOpen ControlsTeam linked,
To WC or, to wait 5 games and save my WC til the end of the season?Open ControlsIs Foster near coming back?
Open ControlsFrom what I've heard, yes
Open Controls
Am I going a little over the top by saying that with that freekick vs City, Van Persie has attained almost-Legend status for us?
I probably am aren't I? I'm just so in awe of him, and pinch myself at times, not believing that he plays for us.Open Controls

Is a double up on Tottenham with Bale and Defoe a little excessive lads? I've pencilled Fletcher > Defoe in for next week. Thoughts?
