I'm doing it just for two bites at the apple. Although Cazorla hasn't been impressive lately.
Open ControlsYeah he hasn't exactly been on fire, but I remember him scoring a cracker against West Ham earlier in the season and he is nailed on for 180mins.
Just hope Bale doesn't run riot against United again...Open Controls"Bale revelled in the open spaces that opened up between Paul Scholes and Rio Ferdinand, with the former looking all of his 37 years at times during a below-par first-half display.
When Robin van Persie lost possession on the edge of the Tottenham area, Mousa Dembele thundered upfield with a purpose that left Scholes looking like he was treading water."
Notice that on both occasions Scholes ain't helping the cause...Open Controls
I hope so, just checked the report from the game at Old Trafford and we started Giggs AND Scholes?! WTH! No wonder Bale ran riot. Won't happen again.
I might now actually ditch him for said Santi 😉 and draft him back in.Open Controls
Gerrard or Cazorla for this week?
Walcott (c), No SuarezOpen ControlsNorwich haven't been exactly leaking goals lately have they? I would go for Cazorla still.
Open ControlsThey let 13 in their last 8 for about 1.63 per game. Plus there were two 4-3's in there. One a loss to City, the other a win against the Swans.
Open ControlsFair enough, I was just thinking of their results against the 'big' clubs. (Not sure if Liverpool count as one of them anymore, but that's for another day 😉 )
They had clean sheets against Arsenal/United and only let in 1 against Chelsea.Open Controls
Gerrard if you've got at least 1 Arsenal player, if you've got 0 I'd opt for Santi.
Open Controls
I currently have:
federici, szczesny
gibbs, zabaleta, luiz, bassong, demel
walcott, fellaini, michu, taarabt, mata
suarez, ruiz, lambert
I think that will see me through gw23, with a view to doing something like luiz--> wilson, ruiz--> dzeko. I could probably do with someone that will play week in, week out though... fletcher?Open ControlsLuiz>Wilson is a good move as 2 big hitting defenders are more than enough. Maybe upgrade Ruiz to Defoe or Lukaku for a punt.
Open Controls
a) McAnuff to Nolan, play Begovic or
b) McAnuff to JCole, Ruddy to Szczesny for -4pt hit?Open ControlsMcAnuff to JCole, play Begovic.
Open Controls
Do we expect Noble back this weekend fellas?
Open ControlsOnly a casual NFL watcher, but what's happened to defences in the playoffs? 😆
Open ControlsPaul Lambert started coaching them I believe
Open Controlsnfl is alot like cricket to me...shite and i cant understand any of it
Open Controls
Thoughts on my wildcarded team 🙂
Bego/Jaas
Zabaleta/A.Cole/Gibbs/OBrien/Clyne
Walcott/Mata/Nolan/McClean/Sterling
Suarez/RVP/Lukaku
Opinions??? 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂Open ControlsMcClean!!!!
Open ControlsMy opinion is that you use too many of those smiley face dudes for a start, secondly that team is pretty decent although I am not that excited about the likes of McClean and Lukaku.
Open ControlsQuestion Mcclean, o'Brien sterling
Open ControlsMcClean can go Sterling is meh o'briens a doubt and Zab will be a bit pants with Komps out
Open ControlsUPDATED TEAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thoughts on my wildcarded team 🙂
Bego/Jaas
Zabaleta/A.Cole/Gibbs/Demel/Davies
Walcott/Mata/Nolan/Lennon/Walters (Yes he had a stinker but heel be back!!!)
Suarez/RVP/Pob
Opinions now??? 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂Open ControlsZab and Cole is too much at the back for me... I'd still drop Zab and try and get bale/santi in
Open Controls
Suarez>Defoe/Ba
Nolan>Fellaini
McClean>Johnson
Sterling>Taarabt/PuncheonOpen Controls
Wildcard team for anyone who cares to take a peak.
Szczesny Bunn
Rafael Zabaleta Demel Tomkins Davies
Walcott Cazorla Fellaini Michu Mata
RvP Suarez Pogrebnyak
0.6 in the bank.
Cazorla makes way for Bale next week.Open ControlsLooks fine
Open Controlsthanks.
Open Controls
Yep solid
Open ControlsPerhaps try to upgrade Bunn for a goalkeeper who will always play. Ruddy is back soon isnt he?
Open ControlsAiming for April
Open ControlsCan you get Howard? I went for him last week as fancy Everton to tighten up
Open ControlsMay do with the spare cash, maybe Federeci, Ta.
Open Controls
Had a bit of a knock apparently nothing serious though.
Open ControlsIs the guy rather injury prone? I got burnt earlier in the season with him and he got injured often when I didn't have him too.
Would you advise Rafael or Evans in WC?Open ControlsI wouldn't call him injury prone really, but he does have a habit of picking up a small knock now and again. I would personally go for Rafael myself, but Evans is a decent option too.
Open ControlsCool. Evans has surprisingly good attacking threat. He's much more of a beast than you'd expect from corners, given he isn't that big. Rafael looks like an assist magnet to me from crosses.
Open Controls
i would like to know this too.
Open Controls
How many players do people have from their original teams?
Highest gets a cainotophobia trophy!Open ControlsSeeing lots of Szczesny in the wc'd teams... apart from the double week arse will probably conceed in almost every game
Open ControlsBego Cerny is the way of the future 8) made a decision in week 4 to just play bego every week, tis been working grand
and 7 ain't bad but I can just see 'em conceeding stupid goals! Koscielny supsended too right?Open Controls
most likely will concede in both DGW games too
Open ControlsHome fixtures with Liverpool, Stoke and Villa in the 4 fixtures after the double so I feel reasonably confident. And they're tied for 3rd in least goals conceded this season.
Open Controlsjust noticed your sick fpl history..well done
Open ControlsGetting in before the retort, tekkers Optimus, I thought it was ironic 😀
Seriously though great stuff Al. Must be somewhere in the stratosphere of the HoF.Open Controls
Suarez V NOR or Aguero V FUL
Is Aguero definetly back for Fulham game? Was thinking Ba and Lambert > Suarez and Anichebe ( Don't fancy Pog and Everton have nice fixtures) and dropping Suarez for Aguero next week.
Thoughts?Open ControlsWorth saving the transfer this week, or should I bring a 3rd ARS player in?
SZCZESNY
DEMEL, Azpil, Baines
WALCOTT, Bale, Mata, Fellaini
Rvp, Ba, Lambert
Bunn, Marveaux, Davies, Harte
Bank 0.3m, 1 freebieOpen ControlsIf you had to pick a squad of XV budget options at current fpl prices, who would you bring in?
Here's mine:
Federici | Guzan
Demel | Davies | Nelsen | Cameron | Martin
Snodgrass | J.Cole | Pienaar | A.Johnson | Puncheon
Lukaku | Pogrebnyak | Sturridge
Team value: 78.7Open ControlsAlright guys need some dgw coverage this is my team
Begovic - Bunn
Ivanovic - Cole - Davies - Demel - Gunter
Mata - Bale - Michu - Fellaini - Puncheon
RVP - Suarez - Lambert
Bale -> Walcott and Puncheon -> J.Cole for a 4pt hit?
Any other suggestions?Open ControlsCole > Gibbs.
Open Controls
When we start playing against robots, i will certainly be going to a match.

On our way to the Superbowl - AGAIN !!Open ControlsDomination.
Open ControlsThey almost blew it. Be a good game whoever it is.
Open Controls
49er's will scuper ye, Colin K is too good, way too many weapons for ye imo.
Open ControlsFound myself up late and watching it, congrats. Very casual NFL watcher but was lucky enough to see the BAL - DEN madness yesterday.
Just to say props for the Swansea predictions, all came true and I'm glad I benched Michu that game. What I didn't count on from your lot was a CS - got burnt by Davies on the bench.
So, do you see the defence remaining so solid? Davies looks hard to ignore in the WC (curses upon you Optimus). In the medium-term, should I be wary of owning Michu if Swans are going to get fixture congestion with the double cup runs?Open ControlsI'd bench Michu for the Stoke game too, the Chelsea game follows that. Yes I would be wary of owning him whilst we are in the cups, they are deffo Laudrup's priority.
The defence has improved, quite a bit of early disruption with injuries & suspensions. Davies is a gem but all of us had to bench him away to Everton. Keep him we'll be good for a few home cleanies.
Glad you listened - a lot didn't 😉Open ControlsCheers, I'm more aware of getting outside opinions nowadays because I've been coming on FFS less and thus the groupthink has become a bit more obvious! Always like to ask those who have extra knowledge about their teams.
Will be considering Michu on the bench, though it won't be as clear cut as last week.Open Controls
I see no long-term place for Walcott in my team but only have Gibbs for the DGW. Is Caz a better bet - less rotation risk?
And should I trade Bale (get him back after ManU) or take a hit and downgrade Ba?
Thanks for any ideas 🙂Open ControlsAnd so the demise of the so-called power 5 begins...
Open ControlsScrew the power of 5 business, I will probably only own 2-3 of them at any 1 point and the likes of Pog are not getting anywhere near my team.
Open Controlsyeah, it's the power 2 for me, way too many defensive points to pick up the rest of the season to be chuckin yer load into midfield...
Open Controls
Help! Which one is a better WC team for GW24 onwards?
A) Bego BUNN
Gibbs Demel Davies R.MARTIN ZABA/EVANS
power-5
rvp suarez RUIZ
B) Bego FED
Gibbs Demel Davies 3.9 ZABA/EVANS
power-5
rvp suarez RUIZ
C) Bego BUNN
Gibbs Demel Davies R.MARTIN CAMERON/CUELLAR
power-5
rvp suarez LAMBERT
thoughts appreciated.Open ControlsWhat's the power 5?
Open ControlsWalcott, Michu, Fellaini, Mata, Bale
Open Controlsit's some lame expression describing having a forward as the 8th attacker instead of a midfielder
Open ControlsDon't hate 😀
Open Controls
Silva, Gerard, and Santi are waiting to break into the P5 so it's all cool
Open Controls
New band I think:
Bale Walcott Fellani Mata, Michu
Ringo sorry Baines wants to join but he is a defender.Open Controls
If you getting rid of one for Podolski who would you
chose
Lambert OUT
Or
Benteke OUT
I already have puncheon oh and eh Guzan who I annoyingly lost .1m on when transfering on wildcard last week.Open ControlsTekkers
Open ControlsHad the same choice and got rid of Benteke.........he couldn't finish a happy meal
Open ControlsBenteke > Lukaku
Open ControlsI was thinking of this Lukaku one but realised they are playing each other and it could be very annoying if Benteke does better then Lukaku.
Open Controls
I'd go Lambert > Pod.
WBA have lost 3 on the bounce, they'll go all out to win and may let a few in.Open ControlsThat is a great point as well. Jayus you dead zone people talk a lot of sense.
Thanks for the replies.Open Controls
if im honest i used to dislike santiagounreal at the start..i like his humour now though and if there was a post of the day i would give him this one 😆
http://www.fantasyfootballscout.co.uk/2013/01/13/the-stock-check-gameweek-22-sunday/comment-page-1/#comment-4890838Open ControlsYou don't seem to like a lot of people, do you? 🙂
Open ControlsGold....
Open ControlsWhat about this one then?
http://www.fantasyfootballscout.co.uk/2013/01/12/the-stock-check-gameweek-22-saturday/comment-page-1/#comment-4880112
I used to dislike Santiagounreal - now I despise him. He's a tryhard twunt.Open Controlslol at parms comment..well if santi is a twunt then i am one...i think we have similar humour?..or maybe i drink too much 😯
Open ControlsYou know when to stop and don't spam our boards nonstop. Most importantly, you don't write english essays on every page about how great the players you own are and how bad everyone else's are, because you don't give enough a sh*t about it, like the rest of us. Unfortunately, he does.
The best one-line summary I read of santiagounreal was "you claim to have an english degree, but you write like an insecure 15 year old"Open Controls
As it stands, going without Chelsea defender has proven to be a mistake. I will give it a few weeks before I admit poor judgement.
Luiz 6:5 BainesOpen ControlsChelsea defence has been good over the season but isn't esential. I've got Luiz but will be looking at getting him out in the GW24/25 WC.
Open ControlsI'll also be looking at Baines rather sceptically having had him almost half the season. Not because his stats aren't great, but because they seem to never convert his crosses and I've been burnt by Everton defensive form.
Open ControlsI only have him because I am a regular on this website and the podcast so...I sort of feel compelled 😉

Open ControlsReally?
Open Controls
mother of god i want that bracelet for my gf..
Open ControlsLOL
Open Controls
Guys. What's happening with Noble? Do we have any news on his chances to start both games in GW23?
I drafted him last week on my WC with his DGW in mind but he didn't play last game and I'm a bit worried!Open ControlsEvans or Gibbs? Long term.
Open ControlsGibbs, even though it's hard to look long term with him as he does love the odd injury.
Jevans is bound to get rotated with the other Rio & VidOpen ControlsGood point. Cheers
Open Controls
ManU better fixtures but it's becoming fairly common to concede.
Ars looking bat at the back but potential attanking returns from the LB.
which one?Open Controls*bad
Open Controls
Also, now that Kagawa is fit, let's remember he was a real prospect at the beginning of the season. If he starts getting regular starts, he could become an option. At 7.9, could be a bargain.
Open ControlsThis week: Ba out for Lukaku*
Next week: Nolan out for Kagawa. Or Nani :8:
*Assuming Ba doesn't score a hattrick against Southampton and become my favorite player ever.Open ControlsSame applies to Nani if he starts getting a run.
Both worth a punt but would say there's better option.Open Controls
Who are you picking / have you picked as your wildcard midfielders? Why?
Open ControlsMata/Walcott were locks for me because of the double. Fellaini for value. Bale because I think he has the highest ceiling of any midfield player. And finally Nolan as a double gameweek punt. He won't be sticking around.
Open ControlsI did mine for this GW but 4 of the 5 that everyone seems to have picked (dropped Michu) and Noble for the double this week and easy bench fodder most other weeks as I still prefer playing 3-4-3.
Open ControlsMich * Mata * Fellaini * Walcott * Bale
Wanted Fellaini in but didnt want to lose Michu or value on hin going out and in went RVP Ruiz Ba benched Michuthink ill stick 352 rotate 2nd striker based on fixtures and upgrade to at least one big hitting defender possibly Baines.Open Controls

Bale > Cazorla for no hit, just for the DGW?
Can easily get Bale back in the following GW, and I really don't fancy Podolski.
