Members’ Stats Updated

The Members’ Area and Beta Sites have been updated with all the stats from tonight’s games. On the Beta site you can now analyse the team and player performances in detail then, and see just why Charlie Adam once again snatched Fantasy Premier League Bonus Points from the jaws of defeat.

Apart from the obvious (Nani, Simon Davies etc) the other leading performers on the night included United’s Darren Fletcher and Rafael. Blackpool’s full-backs were influential and contributed plenty going forward, while Cameron Jerome’s statistics certainly back up the decision to hand him the maximum 3 Bonus, despite his failure to score to find the net.

Member’s can visit the Beta area here and use the dropdown to switch stats to “Current Gameweek” to make some in-depth analysis.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Bloody hell, Australia are desperate. Hughes must have known that ball bounced.

Of course, 86,000 people may also have 10 (or more) left to play ... leaving you at 206,247 at the week's close ---

Agreed ... you've a good-looking squad, there ... must be kicking yourself just a bit over Dann's goal (sitting second on your bench) ... but I'd be awful happy with 35 at this point.

Top run scorer by a mile. The bookies are rubbing their hands, no one predicted it. Like Hussey, he was really under pressure to start producing. He only needs another 60 or so to beat Herbert Sutcliffe's ashes series run total.

Lost in previous topic but worth thinking about...

If/When Arsenal beat Ipswich in the Carling Cup they will play the Final a day after they play Spurs (27th Feb - GW28) meaning that is no doubt going to be postponed. So although Arsenal and Spurs have a DGW in week 27 they both may well not play the week after that.

On the other hand from having one game in GW27 Chelsea and Man United have a double in GW28.

It'll have to be before the quarters, as that's the last time the FA Cup has a weekend to itself (may even be the 5th round actually).

By the way, the FA Cup final is being played during some league games this year, how shit is that? clearly the PL trying it's very hardest to kill it off.

"Tv figures down, league attendances down, home attendances down"
"More goals conceded when he plays"
    I do love stats.

And he ran off and forced transfers in the off seasons.
Throw in the Energy Bracelets which he endorses which have been ridiculed as harmful to public and you can see why he is such a nice chap 🙂

My favourite stat is that 92% of your posts about Beckham contain at least one piece of bullshit.

You say: "League attendances down, home attendances down”

The article actually says that home attendances are up in 2010 compared to what they were before he signed - and peaked in 2008 during Beckham's time at the club.

I think people are losing interest for many reasons.

            1) Recession & general high prices
            2) Anti glazer
            3) Anti players wages and commercialisation
            4) Lack of quality football

      Eh no im not.

Since Beckhams debut season when attendances grew they have all fallen since then. Direct Quotes

"20,813 in 2006, the year before Beckham's signing, to a peak of 26,008 in 2008. Since then, attendance has slid to an average of 20,416 in 2009 and 21,436 in 2010. Attendance at road games went from 19,929 in 2006 to more than 28,000 in 2007 and 2008, but that, too, has since dropped to 18,525."

Besides the stats on football were the most revealing.

I just quoted the revenue ones cos people will obviously point to the commerical side of things. Which arent good either.

So, therefore, home attendances in 2010 UP on 2006 (recession notwithstanding) and home attendance peaked in 2008.

You said that article said, and I quote, "home attendances down”. This is wrong.

You are so hypocritical its unreal...

I remember some guy posting some stats about Utd conceding more goals with Berbatov in the side, and you completely rubbished the stats saying that they weren't at all relevant. Yet when it comes to Beckham, i.e. suiting your beliefs, they are 'very revealing'.

Theres a difference conceding more goals as United then away from home playing 4 4 2 in the early matches cos of Johhny Evans playing CB

And La Galaxy winning less with Beckham.

The gripe I had with him is even a blind poney knew J Evans was at fault for the goals and the stats were just first the first 6 games, they mean nothing now and berbatov has kept playing throughout the winning and cleansheet runs

Beckham position can be questioned since he is the highest paid player in an amateur league against journeymen and his stats show when he plays his team does worse over season of matches not a random 6 game period.

And this is relevant and people think he should get recalled to United England etc.

When 95% of the media talk about him returning to the league i think its fair to at least present the argument he is finished as a player at the top level.

I flirted with the idea of doing it too, but the glamour of giving the armband to Mr. Dudley Campbell was far too tempting! 😀

If someone had told you in August you'd be captaining Dudley Campbell by January...

I hate captaining doublers unless I really fancy at least one of their fixtures.

That was part of the attraction... Chucking the armband to someone so rubbish and so cheap. Working out okay though!

and with the way my captain choices are going recently, I'd have probably settled for 4 (8) points from him.

They call it the holiday season but it's more like the rookie season if you benched Nani as it was well known that he would start. Autosubs in this game make it more of a reason to start him.

yup, here it is: "quadruple: to multiply or be multiplied by four"
            http://www.thefreedictionary.com/quadruple

I had big doubts whether it was correct before I posted that to be honest 🙂

Counting the captain doesn't really count though. He could score a goal & it wouldn't reflect in the other 2 scores.

If Blackpool keep a clean sheet against Liverpool it will be an epic win:)
But it's really insane, I agree. I avoid having two defenders from one team, even if they are from MU, Chelsea, or City. But man, it's Blackpool we're talking about here.
That's strange, this guy is an experienced and relatively successful player... Probably, he just got desperate because of poor results this year:)
