FFS Cup

Paddy Power Cup V – The Last 16

A few weeks back, over 2200 registered and now we are down to the last 16 of the Paddy Power Cup V. They’ve come through seven stages and are two victories away from playing for a prize. The draw for the next round has been and looks a lot like this…

1RaasclartVs.Mr Bungle
2mendersVs.CSKA AWFUL
3NattVs.Declan
4Der-Hammer95Vs.Sc8tt26
5soulman27Vs.runty
6ChickenDevilVs.Timmy Loving
7VereWinnerVs.sleepingmaster
8Bruce BaerVs.Funkyav

Top-seed, and 181st in the world, Der-Hammer95 has a tough assignment against 1,241st overall Sc8tt26. Of course at this stage of the competition there’s no easy games. In fact, there are only two teams with less than 1,000 points.

As luck would have it, those two Fantasy managers yet to hit four-digits have been matched together. 250k in the world VereWinner takes on 127k in the world sleepingmaster.

Last week’s top-scorer, Mr Bungle, once again finds himself as the away team in the first fixture of the round. There’s obviously no disadvantage to coming out of the hat second, and Mr Bungle actually has the effective lead going into his game with Raasclart. The 83 points between them means the ‘visitors’ will go through with a draw.

All ties will be played over the upcoming Gameweek 19, good luck to all!

Please note – with such a short turnaround from Gameweek 19 to Gameweek 20, we’ve made the decision to postpone the Quarter-Finals until Gameweek 21. This will ensure that the draw can be made and published well in advance of any deadline – it will also remove the double gameweek fixtures as a factor and bring the January wildcard into play for the last eight.

Well actually 🙂 Polar bears have black scum to absorb light/heat and actually have near colourless fur which is dense and appears white... More of an optical illusion 🙂

White fur is warmer that dark fur. Zebras alternate white and black because they like the heat in the mid-range. Jaguars hate the heat.

Aguero could come under some rotation in the coming days after having 2 games in 3 days coming up, while Adebayor also has the DGW to look forward to. Aguero more explosive in game time, but over the next 3-4 weeks I'd bet Adebayor will score more points.

I think if sacrificing Silva is the only way you can get Bale for the DGW, you have to do it. You can get Silva back with your WC straight away or a couple of weeks later depending on when you want to play it.

Next two gwks could well be too soon for Dawson. King is currently a doubt and will not play games in close proximity.

Yes, he is a rotation risk and he has played the last 6 games. It's a risk worth taking for 2 weeks because:

          a. W/c
          b. You have two back up defenders to cover a no-show.

          +1.
He is fourth choice centre-back and now Spurs have their CB's all in training.
I highly doubt he will play both games of double, especially the EVE one.

Silva to Valencia for a 4 pt hit? Got a feeling Silva will be rotated and I don't think Man United can afford to rotate Valencia with Young injured. I also have Nani.

I dunno mate. The more I'm thinking about it. Just feel that Man United could go goal crazy against Blackburn, and it could be wise to stock up. For instance, I'd think that Man United would score at LEAST 2-3 against Blackburn. I'd like to think Valencia would assist at least 1.
