    Looking at the stats for Fulham's game against Swansea, I'm genuinely wondering...if you took away Berbatov's penalties, Ruiz would actually be as good a prospect if not better! Ok, maybe I'm being over the top but given Berbatov's barren spell a lot of people were saying how he needed Ruiz to get back to what he was doing. But maybe what is also at the heart of that argument is that Ruiz is actually the main creative force in that team and arguably just as likely to score and assist from his 'in the hole' role.

    Ruiz's stats were outrageous against Swansea. 6 key passes. 7 shots, 4 shots on target, 15 crosses.

    When you compare that to Berbatov, 5 shots, none on target. He totally blitzes him for threat and accuracy. Ok it's one game but Ruiz's performance is hands down more impressive than any Berbatov performance over the last 8/9 games.

    and the last match Berbatov had one shot on target all game (and was lucky to come away with a goal from a goalkeeping error)

    Something to ponder anyway.

        But give this a second's thought...would you buy Fellaini/Michu at their price if they were strikers? I'd say the answer is most certainly yes. This guy is in the hole just like these other guys...and he costs 5.4m. Ok you don't get that extra 1 point for a goal. But considering his all round attributes and threat...worthy of a punt, no?

      Ruiz may find himself in my WC team as I could then afford to upgrade from a 8.4m striker to Suarez.

      Definitely. I saw those stats on last match and was quite surprised to see how Ruiz actually outplayed Berba.

      And I like it your perspective on how Ruiz may actually be the creative force behind Fulham and not Berba.

      I am seriously considering him as my 3rd striker seeing how 5 man midfield is very tempting.

        Very nice! Yeah I mean it frees up so much funds for midfield and he is very consistent with his threat. As people have remarked, if he was a mid he'd be close to essential given his constant threat and excellent stats. At least if he cost 5.4m anyway, he'd be everyone's 5th mid!

        It's really intriguing me as a differential. 🙂

    If you're looking for a couple good flicks I highly recommend Flight and Killing Them Softly. Both very different but both two of the standouts of 2012 imo. Denzel is back to his absolute best in Flight. Quality DVD rips are available from all good torrent trackers. If you're partial to such shenanigans 😉

    For a HIT, should I do:

    A - Bale to Caz (for DGW, Bale back in WC)
    B - Bale to Fell
    C - Cuellar to O Brien
    D - no hit

      i could see either of them getting returns this week (though caz more likely) or either drawing a blank if not both of them.

    Reckon I will Wildcard next week with Shorey, Enrique, Clyne, Ba all poor/injured/doubts and no Fellaini who I want.

    Something like;
    Begovic Bunn*
    Zabaleta Sagna Azpilicueta* (Davies Mariappa)
    Mata Fellaini Walcott Bale Michu
    Van Persie Suarez Ruiz

    * = Szczesny and O'Brien for the DGW

    Ruiz is benchable, on set pieces, cheap and his stats are great, as well as 3 goals/6 assists in 8 starts (after PA ruled one of his assists to be a goal)

        I just like the idea of rotating Davies and Mariappa for that 2nd sub spot for when one of the big defenders gets a rest. Hes only 3.8 and Reading are parking the bus.

    Tomorrow it's finally wc time, so looking some views from you considering bale/santi for wc team.

    Which route would you take?
    a) gw22 bale => gw23 santi => gw24 back to bale
    b) gw22 bale and keep him, walcott + sagna is enough for double
    c) gw22 santi, obviously keep him for gw23 and then gw24 change to bale

    a) is of course tempting, but because there will be some other issues I bet, so you can pretty much count as taking a one 4 pointer for that plan..

    Is Mata a good captain option or will he be rested
    or thinking captaining Suarez which see

    Just wondering if we'll see Davies price increase to 4.3-4.4 mark by end of DGW?

    If he does it means that I'll need to get him in asap since I won't be able to have him in my WC team if the price is that high.
    And it will be for a hit as well since I still have to bring Gibbs and Podolski in for DGW.

    If that's the case then I'd rather do it now since Enrique is injured and Davies is vs AVL next.
    Potential CS right there.

      I am thinking on the same line. However going with Nughton from Tott as hes cheap as nailed on at the moment, also got Reading and QPR so should be okay if not davies

        Naughton is a good tott cover for cheap but you have to consider BAE is nearing return. So you can only consider him for this GW only probably.

    I'd go a) actually. Definitely not b) as BAE is close to a return and Vertonghen can play there too. C) looks tempting but with Benitez rotation and Mikel available, it's just not worth it
