      Newcastle are much better at home. He won't be a walkover. Newcastle would be favourites regardless of the poor form. Just putting into perspective. Obviously Fellaini is still a good buy.

          why? Newcastle are far far stronger at home. they'll look at this as a game they can get a result in. I don't see it as an easy fixture for Everton at all.

              I'm not a betting man, I don't look at odds much. I've never equated this term 'favourites' with bookie odds. But yeah I guess that's where it comes from. I just meant a gut feeling who is the favourite. Newcastle always feel like favourites at home unless they're playing City/Utd/Chelsea etc

        Has anyone had a good look at which teams have been most successful vs Wigan's 352 and why?

        Theoretically, a team with out and out wingers should pull that defence out of shape and create space for the strikers and attacking midfielders through the middle.

    If Michu is out tomorrow, how much you think his price will drop during the break?

    I could sell him now for 7.9 and get in Fellaini for a hit and then with my wc get also Michuman back in.
    He'll be 8.2 after today, not sure he's going to drop 0.3 during the break...

    Then again, is Michu => Fellaini (-4) worth anyway or just play Puncheon?

    Without wanting to sound too stupid or embarrassing i just wanted to do a quick pre New Year thanks to you all.

    The last twelve months have been unbelievably tough for me (not just in fpl!) and i have used this site regularly, not to discuss my problems but to escape them. I find it amazing the camaraderie that people have here. Engagements, weddings, births, successes and failures are all shared with support and congratulations given with no ulterior motives. We banter, some troll, but everyone is treated fairly. It is nice to be part of.

    Scouts and posters, thank you.have a great 2013

    Also, get Whitts from the mighty bluebirds in from the start next year, he will thrive when we go up. Come on City! 😀

    With Bale suspended, Michu doubtful and Mata problably rested i have a midfield crisis on my hands (Walcott & Puncheon remainig mids).

    Really don't want to lose any but if Michu is not passed fit i will have to transfer somebody.

    Do i:

    A) Bale -> Hazard
    B) Bale -> Gerrard
    C) Michu -> Fellaini

      Mata may be benched , but if so he's likely to come on do still a good chance of pts... See Ramires the other day when he came off the bench. Bale and michu are surely season keepers given the small amount of games they are out. May be better off toughening up your bench players. That's what I'll prob do .

      What is the rest of your team like? Depending on how much value you will lose, I wouldn't necessarily transfer any out. Its probably only one gameweek, and to lose value for the potential return of 2 points, only to waste a FT to get them in the week after seems a shame to me. If you got them in late and won't lose much value, then either B or C are your better options.

    Team at the moment for GW21 (BANK = £0.6m, 1 free transfer):

    Foster(FUL)
    G.Johnson(SUN) Demel(NOR) Santon(EVE)
    Walcott(sou) Silva(STK) Taarabt(che) Sterling(SUN)
    Suarez(SUN) Van Persie(wig) Ba(EVE)

    subs - Begovic, Hangeland, Nelsen, Bale

    Best course of action for this week?
    a) Bale > Mata/Michu/Fellaini
    b) Taarabt > Snodgrass/Brunt
    c) Santon > Azpilicueta/Clichy/Davies/O'Brien
    d) Santon & Bale > Zabaleta & Fellaini/Michu

        For Southampton away and then City? Don't think i like that, can't see a clean sheet in either.

        Plan is to get Gibbs and Cazorla/Podolski for GW23 and not before

              Yeah that Arsenal game went just as predicted from a defensive point of view. Just don't want to rely on just attacking points though from my defenders. They should be a bonus to the bread and butter of clean sheet points.

              Although saying all that i should still have got Gibbs! 🙂 Shouldn't complain though as Theo pushed me up to a seasons best ranking so far.

              btw if i go for option A which replacement for Bale? Mata, Fellaini or Michu? I'm quite tempted by D myself as reckon City are nailed on for a clean sheet against Stoke

                michu is a major doubt i reckon if reports are to believed about his ankle being twice the size.

                mata would be the obvious choice but theres a risk about whether he will be rested.

                felliani is the safest bet but has the harder fixture out the 3.

                you need to follow your heart again.

                  as for option D - aint there a slight risk zaba could be rested? he has played every game over xmas and toure might play right back due to stokes aerial threat?

                  dont think its worth a 4pt hit due to that

                    I got interested when i heard Maicon was out. Thought that made Zaba very likely to start. I would have thought Nasty was a bigger risk to get a rest tomorrow with Lescott or Kolo partnering Kompany. Chance all 3 will start i suppose but changing 3 of the back 4 seems a bit extreme, even for Mancini!

        Speculating of course but I doubt he wanted to go and warm the bench for a bit like Moses did. Chelsea don't play 2 up top and Torres won't be benched sooooooooo, it was nice talking to you mate, see ya'!

        they have rvp so cancel my captaincy out then they go for a player i dont have as captain and get double points.

        my rivals last 3 captains have been:

        bale - 42pts
        walcott - 54pts

      No. I think it is activated AFTER GW21 starts. So once the matches on Jan 1 begin, it should be available to use to build/change a team to be fielded for GW22...I think.

        One wildcard can be played at any time. The January Wildcard can only be used after Gameweek 21 starts (1 Jan 11:30) until Gameweek 24 ends (2 Feb 11:30); as the January wildcard isn't available until after the Gameweek 21 deadline, the earliest these transfers will be active is Gameweek 22.
