With a packed festive programme providing hat-tricks for Santi Cazorla, Gareth Bale and Theo Walcott, it was a period which again saw the heavy-hitting midfielder come to the fore. Incredibly, however, that trio were surpassed by the performances of a player who has rolled back the years to recapture a level of returns and consistency that we perhaps thought were behind him.
Clichy doesn't seem sure to play at all, with even Rekik coming to sub him, and doing good. And Kolarov is back soon.
I think Zabaleta and Sagna will play most games, so that's better. And offensive chances, I think it's about even. So, I'd go with B.Open Controls

FPL lists 12 Chelsea mids. 2 are red flagged Benayoun/Romeu. 2 are AKON Mikel/Moses. 3 do not feature Piazon/Malouda/Marin.
That leaves Mata/Hazard/Ramires/Lampard and Oscar (possibly Marin). But Luiz is currently oop as a cdm. That is 6 players competing for 5 spots if Ba/Torres are not played “in the hole”.
So if Benitez continues 4-4-1-1 it looks like the mids are your best bet.
