No thrills. Few spills. Just two men in a room talking about Fantasy Football.

Granville and I handed Jonty and the “Professor” an extended pre-season and rolled the ScoutCast back to its rawest form. Just myself and the Mancunian sharing our thoughts after a summer break and looking forward to another Fantasy campaign.

We talk double Gameweek assets, I roll out the van Persie duvet, Granville reveals more than he should about his team lineup and, around all that, we assess the early bandwagons and preview the weekend fixtures.

Forty-five minutes of two blokes talking about the stuff that’s rattling around in most of our heads right now.

    Few people asking about Kim tonight - I posted this about a week ago....

    Few people have asked me about Kim, so here's the lowdown (being speaking to few Cardiff Season ticket holders in work today)

    * He's nailed on in Cardiffs team.

    * Started a little deeper earlier in the season, but then took Whittinghams place 'in the hole' towards the end of the season.

    *. Don't read too much into Kim's stats for last year as he as often deep, these improved as he shifted forward. The fans reckon he will hold this forward role.

    *. Whttingham became out of favour, there was also a suggestion he ran out of steam. Which meant he was benched or pushed in a deeper or wide role where he didnt look the same.

    *. Kim is Excellent on the ball, always has plenty of time, very creative and can pick out a very good pass.

    *. He will take some set plays (corners in the main, as Bellamy etc likes a free kick)

    *. If Whittingham is on the pitch, there is no chance as he's on ALL set plays as the best around.

    Summary good value for a 5m mf, nailed on, will be in around the box.

      how would you compare Kim to other midfielders of similar price? particularly Bellamy, Brunt, and Joe Cole?

        Kim for me.

        Bellamy getting old, won't play as often
        Brunt never really does much
        Cole hit and miss, may not play regularly

        Brunt has always been a disaster for me when I have had him.

        Bellers is a good shout, and I did have him in my team - he will play left side of mf in a similar role to Routledge at Swansea.

        Kim was pushed into hole for Cardiff run in, and seemed to prosper - he had been deployed there preseason too. If this continues imagine he will pick up some fpl points on the way.

        Plan is for me to get him gw3, which will allow me to upgrade to RVP gw4.

        He was in my gw1 side yesterday when I had RVP.

    Why is everyone so against WC'ing after week 1?

    Last year's winner did, nearly 40% of players did it last year anyway (so I assume most of you are lying about not using it)

    You can get great value by taking advantage of all the players doing it.

    And you get to stack up on a Chelsea DGW plus Benteke

    So, what's the consensus for the best 2 rotating keepers?

    Boruc-Foster seems to be bandied about quite a bit, although I've also seen Boruc-Mannone and Boruc-Marshall.

    Missed it and it delivered.

    Solved my big issue - decided on anelka and Oscar instead of lukaku and j Morison. Very close call, many smart people go lukaku and Morrison but all this love to anelka swayed me...

        Er, no. Channels 547 and 548 SD, 549 and 550 HD. Message popped up when I switched the TV on after a bit of Uncharted 3. Said they'd been added automatically and so they did. Don't know if it's because I'm on the L or XL package though.

    Thinking of selecting with caution and going for Cout and Giroud over Walcott and Sturridge for week 1? My guess is that either/both wont play 90 minutes and one may even pull up early injured.

    Next week can bring them in for hazard or Lukaku as appropriate. Sensible?
