The ScoutCast – Episode 110 – Cosmo

He’s well travelled. He’s multi-lingual. He’s just 19 points behind me. Despite my best start to a Fantasy Football season in living memory, Granville is right on my tail. In this latest episode of the ScoutCast, Granville takes delight in taunting me by wrapping his tongue around every “Pochettino” with ease, leaving me to struggle like Paul Merson with a mouth ulcer.

In between the mispronunciations, myself and the “cosmopolitan Manc” get heated about Robin Van Persie, rinse through the Gameweek 1 bandwagons, preview the weekend’s action and welcome the flying start made by this season’s ScoutCast team. It’s breathless stuff, squeezed into a low fat 40 minutes.

I'm actually quite happy about RVP's big start to the season, it has all those who have him basking in temporary vindication..
I think things will be different when Aguero amasses 30 pts V cardiff and HULL and RVP has quiet matches V CHELSEA and liverpool. Aguero will be at 11.5 and RVP ownership may begin to tumble.
Meanwhile, our squads that are stronger elsewhere will return us more points also....
Watch this space RVP owners, were coming to get ya!! 🙂

  I have RVP and what started as smug satisfaction is quickly becoming nervous pessimism. I keep looking at all the other options out there wishing I could go shopping! Obviously holding but by no means am I basking!

      For me, if I'm not prepared to play a 4m defender when they have a winnable home game then I would upgrade to a 4.5 or 5.0. Can't survive the season without using all 15

Can't help but think that some of the non RVP teams are looking good but sticking by my decision to pick him. Can still see a lot of people using their WC to get him when he is banging them in on a regular basis.

        Swansea conceded fewer away than at home last season so either that was coincidence or they set up tighter away from home. As for fitness, both are slightly off the pace according to managers but that's normal in August
        
        Definitely a close call though but I actually think the safer choice is sturridge due to his proven ability to score well in the prem.

This might be a stupid question but in any given gameweek can I change my captain each day

So hypothetically for this week could I have Mirallas as my captain on Saturday, Soldado for Sunday and Hazard for Monday. Flame away!!

  In the Sky game you can change it once per Sat-Fri (so mid GW) but also transfer out captain to make a new one. The Scoutcast confirmed that little detail I wasn't sure about.

It's actually ridiculous that Snodgrass is about to drop, way too many kneejerkers on FPL. He's out for one week, has decent fixtures and is at good value, but has so many transferring out?

I've still got two Chelsea mids and am worried that Jose may bench one of them baed on his comments about not changing enough players and his midfield looking tired from the start against Villa.

I have Oscar and Hazard. Is 4 days enough for a full recovery? Am going to spend 4 pts on Silva but which one do I replace?

  I find it likely that all those (including myself) hoping for an Everton cs will have to wait till the dying minutes of the game only to be disappointed. Everton syndrome. Attacking wise though I think Jelavic/Kone/Baines/Mirallas/Fellaini will do well this week
