Anyone else not taken in by all this 4-3-3 or 5-2-3 talk? I just think we've seen an unusually high number of 0-0 and 1-0 results in the first three GWs which has skewed the points somewhat. I fully expect we'll soon be back to normal with the mids and forwards garnering with most of the points and defenders scores being a being a bonus if they come in.
With this in mind, my current planned WC team is:

Plan to play Kosc and Coleman most weeks along with one of my cheapos (at least one will have a decent fixture). Leaves me with a midfield of two big hitters, two mid priced and one cheapie, plus RVP and two big hitters up front.

It's undeniable that defenders are beneficiaries of the new bonus system, especially those who get cleansheets. It's also undeniable that there's been an abnormal lack of goals and a high number of clean sheets throughout the first 3 weeks. However, three weeks is a very small sample size, and personally I'm planning on a return to normalcy rather than a defensive-minded shift in paradigm. It's tempting to buy into the current big defense hype but I have a feeling a lot of people are going to be regretting that decision in the near future. 3-4-3 for me.

The HBA/Hernandez option was my original plan, but the Lampard/Kim option gives you 2 every-game mids, meaning you can rotate Brady/Kim/Ward-Prowse. This should mean more points on a good week, but if Lambert doesn't play or 2 of my defenders have tough fixtures and I need to play 4 mids, I have a problem. Thoughts?

I have already made the following transfers this week:

Lambert->Giroud
So I currently have 1.2 mil in the bank. I was initially thinking about using that to upgrade my non-playing 5th defender McNaughton to a defender valued at 5.1 or below, but I think my options are limited as I'm not sure that Dawson of TOT is a solid option. I also considered upgrading say Coleman for Evra etc. but I don't think that that is particularly smart either.
I am also considering dropping soldado unless he hits form for benteke (although I wasn't willing to make the move this week as I have faith in my beloved Newcastle 😛 ) and then using the 1.7 or 1.8 I would then have to make another upgrade somewhere.

Im thinking of gambling on Ravel morrison over JWP as he scored a cracker vs cheltenham (crap opp but still, and downing had a shocker last game). His pre-season coupled with these few games he has shown might finally force Big Sam's Hand. Soton also has a minefield of a midfield and its difficult to see who will get dropped.

Hugely depends on what happens in the next 3 weeks. Lamela could be crap and eriksen could be lighting up the PL. Ozil could have 5 assists and a couple goals, would you still prefer walcott then?
