Paddy Power Special – 3/1 on Man City to Beat Arsenal at the Etihad

Once again, Paddy Power have laid on another enhanced market for the weekend’s matches – this time around, our bookmaker friends are dangling odds of 3/1 for Man City to beat Arsenal at the Etihad in tomorrow’s lunchtime kick-off for those yet to register an account with them.

Bearing in mind that the regular odds of Manuel Pellegrini’s men winning for their eighth match in a row in front of their own fans is 4/5, this looks a standout deal for those yet to sign up with Paddy. If you don’t have an account and fancy a piece of the action, click here to join up and take advantage of the offer.

If you’ve already got an account with Paddy, you can still benefit from the Money Back Special on the Etihad match. Paddy are offering refunds on all losing First Goalscorer, Last Goalscorer, Correct Score and Scorecast bets should Olivier Giroud score anytime during the game.

To clarify, the City enhanced odds specials are limited to a £10 stake, are open to new Paddy Power customers only and subject to the terms and conditions specified.

Finally, of course, we should state that all these offers are only available to those aged 18 and over and are subject to Paddy Power’s terms and conditions. Also, if you’re going to bet, always gamble responsibly.

Opinions on Oscar in for Ozil this week... then Whitts to Silva next week?

    Mignolet / Lewis
    Gabbidon / Terry / Coleman / Mertesacker / Chester
    Morrison / Özil / Ramsey / Hazard / Whittingham
    Agüero / Suárez / Lukaku

    Cheers

I am having Gerrard and Chico 🙁

    mig 4.0

    terry maculey Chico b.turner Chester

    Hazard Gerrard Ramsey Lallana Morrison

    Aguero Suarez Lukaku

I need to get Gerrard removed , so Gerrard ➡ ?

I think Yaya Toure will be good as he his more secure in Christmas period than Silva ...

My gut says Rooney will go mental this week , but I am stuck with Lukaku ... shall I go for lukaku ➡ Rooney and Gerrard ➡ SHelvey/fer

Also I need Everton defence , full to confuse I am 🙁 ....

your defence is ok for this week. If you want everton defence I would do Migs--->Howard but with Gerrard out I would not bother changing Migs.

      Gerrard--->Silva/Oscar/Michu. Take your pick IMO.

Ignore Rooney, you have 3/4 of the best striking options as it is

Did anyone realise that you dont HAVE to have Lukaku? If you have Lukaku OK keep him im not saying he wont do well. But if you dont have him here is your chance to stand out: Osvaldo, Welbeck/Hernandez(whoever replaces RVP), Fletcher, Berbatov, Remy. All a bit cheaper too and will score pretty much the same or maybe more points and help you gain rank unlike Lukaku whose points will keep you standing still with the other sheep.

I say I'm captaining Pauliho, give good reasons: Liverpool bad away defence, and will be open giving spurs chances. Spurs on form, Paulinho has very good stats, I watch Paulinho and on average gets 2/3 clear cut chances a game. I believe he will have the confidence now from last game to put those chances away and maybe get a brace against Liverpool. Can also assist. I want to do something to stand out, not share points, I'm not saying Aguero Lukaku etc wont do well, just making this constructed argument. And i just get 'LOL' and 'troll'... It made me a bit annoyed which is why I started saying sheep but I'll stop doing that now I understand both points of view.

If you watch Paulinho you would know just how bad his shooting is. Not to say Liverpool's defence is but he is one of the most wasteful players I have ever witnessed.

Paulinho's shooting is not at all bad!! Against Fulham he had a terrible miss. Other than that he nearly always puts it on target with good technique, keepers make good saves or defenders make crazy blocks. He is a quality player you can see it when he was at Brazil his shooting is no awful at all and I think between now and end of season he will outscore Ramsey.

Been watching him all my life, a box to box player with good awareness but his shooting has never been threatening. I've seen a number of attempts where he kicks it straight to the GK or misses the goal completely. As you say yourself about looking at stats, look at his stats and wonder "how is it he scores so little?" It can't merely be heroic defending and great keeping every single attempt.

Well first thing you did was call me a sheep when I posted a question, based on the players I own.

Nothing wrong with coming up with smart differentials but they need more than just a bit of flair to pick them up.

Example a) Giroud: Nothing against him but apart from 2 gifted goals against Southampton he's not been strong in front of goal. He may turn it around but to suggest him over any of the other "sheep" choices which have been scoring is not smart especially when based on little evidence.

Welbeck/Hernandez/Flecther/Berbatov, similar cases. Welbeck and Hernandez will likely have limited time, if any. Fletcher should be better and is not necessarily a bad punt at all but once again form factor does not suggest he is going to stomp the other choices. Berbatov may be under renewed confidence but Fulham still have a lot of problems and Everton know how to defend, he could score but once again it's not so much a differential as it is a blatant risky move.

I apologise for clling you a sheep, I was carried away and annoyed seeing all the same choices and mine getting shot down but I understand why you choose certain players.. admitedly they will continue to do well I'm sure. Hopefully now we can just have a constructed argument.

            1. Giroud - Arsenal are the best attacking team in the league and he is their only striker. IMO this means he is as guaranteed goals as anyone. Unlucky not to score in a few games. Aguero and Suarz are better yes but i dont personally think 3/4m better when everyne shares the poits.

Welbeck - I am scared I made a massive error here I have to own up to the fact I thought he would be an automatic pick with RVP out. But now being told Hernandez could play so tat one could go wrong for me. If one gets picked consistently then they will be the most important striker imo for that price.

Berbatov ok maybe not a good week to bring him in against Everton but he is class.. class never dies did you see his last game? He is rejuvenated and not risky atall.

No harm done 🙂 I appreciate your frustration and I am actually only trying to help you out a bit because I quite like people posting some different players.

Now as for Olivier, you are correct of course that he is the main striker in one of the top attacking teams but you must look at some of the other information as well. If they had an easier run of games he's worth consideration but do you not find it odd that a striker with a midfield like Arsenal's can maybe not be producing the same goal output recently? He shoots plenty but he is not really a very good finisher, some nice finishes and some awful wasted attempt. I would not condemn him a bad pick but if we are to look at pricing then I could say he's certainly not worth the extra money over Remy or Lukaku currently.

Welbeck and Hernandez are going to have only a bit of gametime realistically, Hernandez deserves more I believe but probably won't get it. Moyes wants Rooney to be kept happy and most likely will play him up top with a support striker such as Kagawa or Welbeck. Of course for the short term you could think they would be worth a look in but until we have enough concrete information it's all merely speculation and therefore cannot be deemed a good idea.

Berbatov oozes class as he always has however his issue is work rate. He's needs players who will work their asses off to get him the ball so he can finish it, worked for him at Spurs and at United (I am a tremendous fan of him by the way) but Fulham need more oomph. I certainly believe we will see a better Berbatov going forward but we cannot assume that he'll jump straight back to scoring ways, Fulham still tend to struggle while he needs players who are essentially more talented than the Fulham lads to be really potent.

Sorry to agree with others but calling someone a sheep just because they pick someone with a valid basis for selection is not very clever. The fact that other people do it is irrelevant. Anyway, good luck for the season

Thank you. Good luck to you to and from now on I will only say you are a sheep if you disregard my view without giving evidence to back up your opinion but just dismissing it because it is different. If you argue properly with me thats fine, but dont just laugh at a choice because it is different.

Also I need Everton defence , full to confuse I am 🙁

At 6.4 and selected by 1% he is a fantastic option. Can assist as well as score and Newcastle are a good attacking team, get Remy if you can afford the extra though.
