Paddy Power Special – 3/1 on Man City to Beat Arsenal at the Etihad

Once again, Paddy Power have laid on another enhanced market for the weekend’s matches – this time around, our bookmaker friends are dangling odds of 3/1 for Man City to beat Arsenal at the Etihad in tomorrow’s lunchtime kick-off for those yet to register an account with them.

Bearing in mind that the regular odds of Manuel Pellegrini’s men winning for their eighth match in a row in front of their own fans is 4/5, this looks a standout deal for those yet to sign up with Paddy. If you don’t have an account and fancy a piece of the action, click here to join up and take advantage of the offer.

If you’ve already got an account with Paddy, you can still benefit from the Money Back Special on the Etihad match. Paddy are offering refunds on all losing First Goalscorer, Last Goalscorer, Correct Score and Scorecast bets should Olivier Giroud score anytime during the game.

To clarify, the City enhanced odds specials are limited to a £10 stake, are open to new Paddy Power customers only and subject to the terms and conditions specified.

Finally, of course, we should state that all these offers are only available to those aged 18 and over and are subject to Paddy Power’s terms and conditions. Also, if you’re going to bet, always gamble responsibly.

Should i captain Rooney or Lukaku?
Rooney has 5 goals and 4 assists in his 6 away games so far and has a good record against Aston Villa who will be missing 2 key defenders. He will also be playing as the main striker with Kagawa behind him so should get chances.

Lukaku has the better fixture, but Fulham look improved with there new manager.

What do you guys think? I also have Suarez and Oscar as potential captains.

Good enough to save the FT?

    Mignolet
    Coleman / Turner / Wilson
    Morrison / Özil / Hazard / Ramsey
    Lukaku (vc) / Agüero (c) / Suárez

    Etheridge / Brady / Dawson / Clyne

i know they wont allocated suarez goal points vs west ham nor do i expect them to, but for clarity they really should update it. filtering by "goals scored" is wrong as he's on 15, not 14.

wouldnt be accurate if they listed it as 15 though, as when you checked back the numbers would be slightly different to what happened that gameweek. they must know people would check elsewhere for 100% accurate stats, such as their own website http://www.premierleague.com/en-gb/players/index.html?paramSearchType=BY_STAT&paramSeason=2013-2014

Personally i'd play 4 at the back and bench Shelvey. He'll probably be playing a more withdrawn role with Bony & Michu back and they've played away in Europe on thursday night.

      Ultimate counterargument:

OK if you beat me this season then I will say well done.. maybe its luck maybe not.. lets try harder next season, learn from each other. I just see everyone feeding each other the same views and shooting down anyone with something different.

Evening, folks. Could I please get some ideas / suggestions? Much appreciated.

OK, fellas, what do you think?

    A. Lallana > Oscar [double up with Hazard]
    B. Lallana > Silva [fit enough to start? tough fixture as well]
    C. Lallana > Walcott [fit enough to start? tough fixture as well]
    D. Mignolet > Howard [missed the price rises, double up with Coleman]
    E. Save FT as team looks pretty good for this week [I can play Chester (HUL) or Lallana (new) or B. Turner (WBA)]
    F. Any other ideas?

    Mignolet
    Terry Coleman Chester
    Hazard Ramsey Paulinho Lallana
    Aguero Lukaku (c) Suarez (vc)

    Lewis, B. Turner, JWP, Ward

1 FT, 2.1 in the bank

Timmy Boy does look like a solid prospect from now until January, but a bit weary putting two eggs in the Everton D basket. I think E is probably the logical choice. Which two would you play between Lallana (new), Burner (WBA) and Chester (STO)?

He is performing against the best players in the league though, with Martinez playing him in the biggest games. Also, at least we don't know Barkley's ceiling. We know the ceiling of the current England mids, and a midget could bang their head on it.

i worry about his end product right now, shades of an andros townsend playing centrally. the irony is the 2 assists he does have this season have both been as a result of his lack of final third intelligence, holding on to the ball for too long

Yeah he's a bit of a showoff, but like Andros they've got the talent but just need to learn how to harness it. Even as a Gooner I'm confident Andros will eventually deliver. Consider them to be, if you'll forgive the comparison, in the immature Ronaldo-having-just-arrived-at-United-phase?

What he's been doing well is passing, IMO. He doesn't need to be the guy with the final ball.

A week like this week shows the limitations of the scout picks. You need to have a captains pick as well. The survey is clearly biased towards ownership.

Easy for the batters the way we're bowling. Carried away on the shorter balls, easily being left on length alone. Great for you guys.

        Oviedo > Delph

I'm captaining lukaku. If I had Rooney I would be tempted though.

I like it that this week the captaincy is so open. Recently when Suarez got his huge hauls it seemed a bit boring because I knew it wouldn't gain me much - EVERYONE had captained him!

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Mignolet (Daniels)

    Coleman Chester VERTONGHEN (Shaw Ward)

    Hazard(vc) Yaya Ramsey Ravel (Sterling)

    Aguero Lukaku(C) Suarez

    1FT 1.1 ITB

    A) Vert > Terry
    B) Vert > Jagielka (This would mean that I cant swap Migs for Howard if liverpool fail to keep a cleansheet next GW v Cardiff)
    C) Vert > Distin (would leave me with 2.9m to upgrade Sterling or Ravel next week)
    D) Something else

I know 65% of players in my mini leagues will be captaining Suarez

    20% Rooney

    10/15% Aguero

So, my thinking is if I pull Hazard captain out the bag and he produces for me I could make significant points up…. IF the big 3 keep quite.
