The ScoutCast – Episode 125 – Sicknote

It’s the ScoutCast vs Adversity. Granville drags himself out of his sick bed and we scramble into a makeshift studio, determined to return to the airwaves after our absence last week.

Apologies in advance for the echo, the faint background hiss and Granville’s Bonnie Tyler-like tones. If you can see your way past that little lot then you might just find some worth in this week’s episode as we grill the Gameweek 29 blank, sauté the Gameweek 31 doubles, boil down the Suarez vs Sturridge debate and lament our joint decision to choose Edin Dzeko from the lavish striker buffet, ignoring the sumptuous Sturridge in the process.

In between that particular call to Captain Hindsight, we rinse through the regulars, although Granville’s poorly state has us clean forget to credit the Scout League leaders or offer our thoughts on our new Fantasy Football squeeze – Ultimate Fantasy Premier League. Please accept this note from our respective Mum’s and the promise that we’ll return to full fitness next week.

Something they mentioned in the scoutcast which hasn't been widely discussed to my knowledge:

Everton's home game against Palace, which is yet to be rescheduled, surely can't be played midweek due to logistic (mainly policing) that would be caused by both Liverpool and Everton playing at home during midweek.

When does that leave us with? GW34?

  They never play at home on the same day but that wouldn't stop Everton playing Tuesday and Liverpool Wednesday. With Swansea going out last night they won't have to play on the Sunday before now meaning Everton could play Tuesday!

    Don't sell Yaya. Of all the players in FPL currently fit I think Yaya is the keeper for a few blanks. You'll probably lose too much to sell him and consequently have to take hits to McGyver him back into your team later.

    I think I have to take hits through this but the only good option looks Kola - Chelsea and I don't want to triple up.
    
    My only other options are lose Gnabry for Eriksen/Lallana or RVP for Ade (C) and I'm not sold on either

I was expecting to be disappointed in Vertonghen's behaviour last night after reading the comments, but now I've seen the slow mo you can really see Vert's head shake as he is butted, in the side of the head as well. Still love you Jantje!

      You're probably be right. My issue is I'll only be fielding 7 players as it stands so figured I should get another one for free (who I'm going to want for future GWs). If you could get one Man U player in for the next few who would it be? Evra/Mata?
