FFS Paddy Power Cup IX and Members Cup IV – Second Round Draws

We roll out the draw for the Second of the Fantasy Football Scout Cup IX and Members Cup IV, as sponsored by Paddy Power, after the First Round took place over Gameweek 28. Please not that, as explained in this initial article, these ties won’t take place until Gameweek 30 due to the numerous blanks in the fixture schedule this weekend:

In the Fantasy Football Scout IX, reigning champion Tdubb05 is through to the next round and will face Denis Denis when the action resumes. Looking at some of the other former champions, MCH takes on BroTown_Tindersticks, Jonty is up against coletrickle88, donnellyc squares up to Carlton Palmer and Gooner Dave takes on Fitzy.

The tie of the round sees two of the top 500 FPL managers go head-to-head.Skeptical, currently sitting in 136th spot in the overall standings, take on Lardy, who isn’t far behind in 470th spot.

You can click here to check out the second round draw, which gets underway next weekend, whilst the full list of first round results can be found here.

In the Members Cup IV, reigning champion Acqufresca fell at the first hurdle. He was knocked out by Caladan Brood, who now faces Quite Big Dunc next time around, whilst another former winner, Fuzzy Dunlop, takes on Droginexile. The top-ranked manager is 2nd Man – currently sitting in 380th overall, he’s up against Fitzy (39,504) for a place in the next round.

You can click here to check out the second round draw, which gets underway next weekend, whilst the full list of first round results can be found here.

As always, good luck to all those still in with a shout of the silverware.

Ah no! I thought I was through in the members cup, only to discover Oxlade Chamberlain 1 point cameo drew the other guy level and I went out on lower rank rule.

    What should I do?
    having this defence

    evans ward azpi kosc joshida

Have 2 ft and want to use 1 but not sure what to do
A)joshida to chambers/pieters or someone else cheap
and keep evans and kosc for dgw
B)kosc to evra and double utd def(not sure this is great option) and also have 2 dgw pkayers but 1 more player this week?

Yoshidrs to Wilson and hold him as stoke have great fixtures..

Evans isn't fit so he ain't looked in to start at wba ..but still worth keeping..

Yoshida will b a dead weight as lovrens back..so best do
      Yoshida -> Wilson

Wilson has been quiet a regular..

I took him as I had 2fts for gavbidon.. saved cash..

    shameless repost from last post

if I accept that Sterling won't be a bit-part player once Lucas returns I'd be pretty damn satisfied with this GW31 team:

    Mannone, Davis
    Baines, Ivanovic, Zabaleta, Ward, Chester
    Hazard, Yaya, Nolan, Sterling, Noone
    Suarez - Aguero - Sturridge

    .7m left over

alternatively have Coleman, Azpi AJ and Gerrard instead of Baines, Ivan, Nolan and Sterling

    midfield too weak? alternative better?

Take the alternative to b on the safer side ..was watching the Irish game..Coleman's been attacking and good..won'tlet u down..

AJ looked lethal at city has more dgws

Gerrard back to usual position when Lucas oR allen play with spot kick .....
Don't see azpi losing his spot..

BTW ivanovic made a blunder And gifted the ball to long..Ireland scored..take the altermate

Considering that approach as well although also considered ditching RVP, forgetting about Aguero and going SSL which allows for Baines, Yaya and Mata.

      2 Questions:

Is Gabbidon going to be benched long term?

Are there any midfielders 4.4 or under excluding Mutch that are worth bothering with?

Both would be 4 point hits to field 10 players

      Cheers guys!

      A) Yaya or Silva for dgw
      B) Is Coleman -> Baines a wise move
      C) Lukaku or Remy or Rooney or Sturridge (already have Suarez)
