Captain Sensible – Gameweek 32

Last week’s runaway winner of the Captain Poll, Luis Suarez delivered yet again with 25 points accrued over Liverpool’s pair of fixtures against Cardiff and Sunderland. The Uruguayan was usurped by Yaya Toure, though, with the City midfielder ending Gameweek 31 as the top scoring player on 31 points – surprisingly, in spite of his outstanding season, you have to go all the way back to Gameweek 17 to find the last time Suarez finished top-scoring player in any round of matches:

Once again, we analyse the armband options on offer in our weekly members article. Taking the top five in this week’s Captain Poll (Suarez, Wayne Rooney, Eden Hazard, Toure and Romelu Lukaku) as our starting point, we construct a members table based around a number of their key statistics in order to flag up any other players offering a similar sort of threat.

  I wouldn't put any guarantees on Sterling starting, though I imagine he will, with Spurs' high line and open style of football.
  
  I wouldn't be surprised to see a switch back to 4-3-3 with Allen dropping out for Sterling, so midfield will be Gerrard, Henderson and Coutinho with Sterling, Suarez and Sturridge up front.

      I can see a cameo against Soton, a start against Pool. Not sure if Pelle wants to risk him playing too much in the Sunderland game with another game just 3 days after.
      
      Maybe it's more of a hope from my side, but I'd be surprised to see Kun play over 120 mins in the DGW

        I don't think RvP will be fit for GW37. I thought about doubling on our defence as well, then I remember that i see 'defend' on a regular basis. Just Rafa and Rooney/RvP for me

big decision for the rest of the season:

cahill / ivanovic / azpilicueta

- azpi saves some money though he's not producing attacking returns, differential in my money league
- ivanovic big differential in my money league, could pay off in attacking sense, poised for big hauls
- cahill owned by some in my money league, good prospect, priced somewhere in between ivanovic and azpi

what's the verdict? any thoughts much appreciated.
