In our weekly attempt to get the better of Paddy, we turn to three of the current top six ahead of favourable games against a trio of relegation candidates. Once again, we look to the Scout Picks for inspiration and place our faith in a couple of in-form midfielders and City’s fit-again talisman as Manuel Pellegrini’s side attempt to recover from their disappointing home draw with Sunderland.

We get underway at White Hart Lane on Saturday lunchtime, where Tottenham entertain London neighbours Fulham. Paddy are offering 6/1 on Christian Eriksen to score and Spurs to register a clean sheet. Given that the Dane has scored four times in as many matches, there’s every chance he’ll get amongst the goals against Felix Magath’s brittle backline – Spurs have been a little suspect at the back in recent matches but we’re happy to hand Paddy £3 of our kitty.

Next up, we target Liverpool’s trip to Carrow Road on Sunday afternoon as the visitors look for an eleventh successive victory. Paddy are offering 9/2 on Steven Gerrard to score and the Merseysiders to keep out their opponents. The Reds skipper has netted five times in his last four away games in a run that has seen Brendan Rodgers’ side deliver a couple of shut-outs and, with Norwich failing to score in each of their last three, we make this our favoured bet of the week and stick £4 on it.

Our final £3 is kept for Monday’s crucial clash at the Etihad. Having taken a single point from two matches in the previous Gameweek, City’s home game with West Brom is a must-win for Manuel Pellegrini’s charges. Paddy are willing to offer 9/2 on Sergio Aguero to score twice and City to keep out the Baggies. The Argentine has notched nine times in 10 home appearances this term and with City expected to attack from the first whistle to get their title bid back on track, we’re willing to part with our final £3 for this one.

  No one knows, I think Pelli will risk it if it's touch and go. He's had plenty time since Pool to rest (assuming that was the issue for his ankle).
  
  Pelli saw what they looked like vs SUN @ home with no David, Yaya and limited minutes for Kun. With Navas out for sure Silva might be forced to play some part if they want 3 points.

All on the bench but one will have to come in for Yaya. I'm going to keep Yaya in the team in case he make a quick recovery.

Pellegrini did say he needed 10 days (hopefully from the time of injury and not when he announced this news!) but maybe 8 days will be enough for him!!

I was going to buy Silva but his possible injury will probably mean I'll keep the transfer for next wee and bring in Mata and Rooney.

How long is Yaya Toure expected to be out for? Will he be fit for the double?

Reason I ask is not because I want to keep him on the bench (already got rid for Ramsey), but because I ideally would like to get Nasri in to fill my third City spot.

However that would leave no room for Yaya without doing a sideways move (Nasri to Yaya), something that I'm not fond of.

        I haven't been impressed with Caroll lately so if Nolan remains on the bench I'm not sure where the goals will come from. Palace have one of the best defences in the PL right now. I'm just going with current logic but good luck to you and the hammers.
