this is such a naive view - if your methods can't accommodate one of the best players in the world, maybe they need changing.

Sure, Mata doesn't fit as a United winger, but behind the front man and wingers, launching a counter ahead of them, he obviously does.

Toughest captain choice in a while this week.

Rambo could backfire precisely because Newcastle are so weak, giving the likes of Ozil and Cazorla more of a free reign to do what they want. Also think he's so popular mainly due to the MNF factor.

Really hard to see Rooney blanking with United desperate to prove a point now Moyes has gone.

And Suarez is Suarez, if he's against a backup Chelsea side he'll do damage.

Suarez has scored 0 goals against Chelsea, Arsenal and City this season and put up about 17 points across the 5 games. Mourinho is going to suck the life out of the game, I don't think Suarez is a good captaincy option. I'm going so far as to drop him and bring him back for GW38.

For me right now I'm between Rooney and Podolski for captain, Ramsey on the mind too.

Not sure that tells the whole story - in the away game he was unlucky not to score, I didn't have him captain that game and it was scary.

Mou may try to suck the life out of it but Pool could blow them away early.

..there's still 4 other games..Suarez has not done as well against the top sides. Add to that the fact that Sturridge is back soon and now Suarez is back wide again. We know that being wide doesn't really affect his gains, but that coupled with the top side could mean a bad captain choice. I would not be surprised in the slightest if Suarez amounted to 15 points or less over gameweeks 36 and 37.

This is how I see it, too.

Utd players may FEEL more organized, but they won't be SAF infantry 30+ matches into a season of stability, will they?

I think that the new changes will work against United. They may look "better", but that doesn't mean a whole lot.
I feel as I did at GW1 when names like Fellaini and Moyes were swaying opinions.

United were one of the best counter attacking teams in Europe. Players like Mata slow down attack and Fellani is not quick enough at passing the ball forward. Both players suit a defensive set up and not an attack minded United.

Yep..as posted earlier. If Giggs is minded to revert to type for United then Mata becomes a problem pick..anything other than than reverting to type and he remains a Probable starter. Mata was Moyes's choice and was a problem even for him...he just doesn't fit the mould.

Nonsense, Mata can play quickly if his teammates are making good runs which for the most part they haven't been since he was signed.

Which would you play for 3rd DF spot: Ivanovic (A LIV), Stones (A SOU), Ward (H MCI)?
    Playing Coleman& Koscielny.

Also, thinking of starting Lukaku but need to bench one of these midfielders:
Eriksen (A STK), Nasri (A CRY), Ramsey (H NEW), Gerrard (H MCI), Mata (H NOR).

Stevie G seems the only one to bench for Lukaku.

Play Ivanovic and leave Stones as first DEF sub just in case he doesn't play. Bench Nasri as all of the others are more of a goal threat and the best you'll get from Nasri is an assist.

Right, so this is my team for the week, but I am thinking about a -12 hit... I know what you're thinking, hear me out.
    Current Team
    De gea
    Chambers Coleman Zaba Collins
    Mata Mutch Eriksen
    Suarez Adebayor Aguero
    Subs: Mannone Cahill Mirallas Silva

However I would like Nasri Ramsey and Rooney as one would like to go with the flow. If I transfer those three in replace of Mirallas Silva and Adebayor, I would need £0.4m to do so... therefore I would either take Coleman or Cahill out for Kos as the 4th transfer, any thoughts?! Plus I am top of my mini league... by 3 points!!

I think my captain choice this week could be one of the most important of the season for me. I lead my rival by 9 points but with Suarez playing Chelsea I imagine a lot of people will take a punt elsewhere. So it will come down to my captain choice vs his rather than the usual case of both putting it on Suarez.

    So, who should I captain?

    1) Baines

    2) Erikson

    3) Nasri

    4) Mata

    5) Ramsey

    6) Aguero

    7) Rooney

    8) Suarez

      1-4 no way.
5 I wouldn't put you off this but it wouldn't be my 1st choice.
6 Will probably get something but Palace away doesn't smack of points fest.
7 It seems too obvious and will probably go wrong but I might join the sheep on this one.
8 When in doubt I always captain Suarez and if we believe Mourinho going with a B team Suarez could easily get a load of points.
