I learned the value of underlying stats this year. Last year following the stats was a guarantee to do well, but I got a bit obsessed with them at the start of this season and paid!

Hours and hours of pre season planning, spreadsheets the lot and seven weeks in I found myself in 930,000th. Started to just go with my gut and enjoy the game for what it is and somehow find myself with end of season rank 201. Lessons learned
1) climb on all bandwagons - biggest regret this season not owning Yaya or Ramsey anywhere long enough
2) season is long don't give up
3) make sure you have all the big hitters for DGWs. Failure to do so can wipe you out completely
4) be wary of dodgy hammies!!!!

Well that's it for another year and although it was the hardest season to try and make up so much ground from 1m at gw 13 I would say it's been my best year in circumstances. Hopefully get a better start in 2014/15 to push for the top 500.

Ben Davies could easily become a fantastic left-back for United for probably half the price. So much pressure attached to a price tag that high for such a young player.

Stayed inside Top 1000 for about 10 GWs (GW 26-36). Was at exact 500 when DGW 37 started. Shame couldn't achieve Top 1000 finish in the end. Still a great 2nd season for me so no regrets. Thanks to all the gents here on FFS. Without this site I couldn't have achieved this much success. Will take a break to concentrate on other things in life.
