With so many of you seeking advice on their teams before August 16, we thought it would be prudent to run a daily community article to provide a dedicated focus for “Rate My Team” (RMT) requests.

Each day ahead of the new season, we’ll select one of the Fantasy Football Scout team and post up their own RMT request to open up discussion and encourage others to post their own. We’ll turn the comments over to you to provide a useful place for those seeking advice and highlight some of the key decisions under deliberation.

Please nudge those posting RMTs in other articles to visit this daily RMT article. Also, when posting requests, please remember to be courteous to those who take the time to help out. Equally, if you’re an experienced Fantasy manager with some views on initial line-ups, take time out to dip in and contribute – the Fantasy Football Scout team will be doing their upmost to offer their feedback as the discussion develops throughout the day.

Ryan’s biggest concern is his cheap defenders. Any ideas for improvement there? Is he right to spend so much on Ivanovic or to trust in Stevan Jovetic replicating his preseason form?

    This is my first time doing this and this is what i've got so far;

    Begovic

    Ferdinand. Jones. Moore. VanAaholt

    Mata. Toure. Ramsey. Mulumbu

    Sturridge. Costa.

    not sure whather to downgrade midfield to upgrade defence? But at the moment i've got decent attacking options from 5 top teams so not banking on anyone inparticular to do well.
    Any advice/opinions would be good, cheers.

    And also, which one are you guys on? As the Sky one there's no subs, just a set amount of transfers to be made throughout the campaign.

    Not sure about:

    1. Mannone...should I go Krul ? (and then what about Janmaat?)
    2. Austin over Bojan ? (would need to find £0.5m from somewhere, maybe Janmaat to Coloccini ?)

    Any advice appreciated.

    De Gea (Krul)

    Terry - Caulker - Coloccini (Bertrand, Van aanholt)

    Ramsey - Siggurdson - Sterling - Hazard (Albrighton)

    Rooney - Pelle - Dzeko

    - Pretty happy with this at the moment, but I am considering whether I should have Sterling or Eriksen/ Lamela and whether my forward line is strong enough

    If you could rate my team that would be great 🙂

      I think its a strong team. Pelle punt could pay off but there are other alternatives if it doesnt. Like your mids aswell.

      My only question would be Pelle but that's because I don't know much about him. I think it's a coin toss between Sterling/Erikson/Lamella although I think for me it'd be Sterling.. Erikson.. Lamella until I'd seen what Lamella can do this year

          you should be fine. If someone from City starts knocking in hat-tricks you'll be able to get them without a lot of hassle

      - Luis not nailed on, Ward a dangerous pick considering Pulis just left
      - Other than that it's a nice team, hope that helps

      Another good team. Watch out for Ward, many are getting rid of palace now pulis has gone but keep an eye. Good coverage of the top teams

      I'd do Lovren ---> Jones and downgrade Mutch to a 4.5, then upgrade Young ---> Siggy/Snodgrass and then Myhill ---> Foster.

          You have doubled up on both Chelsea and Man Utd attacks, cant argue with this in the short-term but you could swap one out of them and upgrade davis or bojan??

    Please rate my team, I thinking of 2 options. I struggling to get a Chelsea def. and I not that big a fan of Bojan. But since everybody picks him, he might be worte more cash after some weeks?

      Not sure about Caulker, you have to play him every week really to take advantage of his goal threat as his goals could come at any point.

    Hello...could you please RMT. Very new to this.

    Will probably switch to 343 at some point, remove chambers to 4.0 defender and upgrade young to Siggs...

      You dont need Krul if you plan to play De Gea every week.

      Could Downgrade him to a 4.0 and use that 0.5 to upgrade luis to a more likely starter in Cahill/Terry.

      Do you need both Hazard and Costa? I dont think its a bad combo to start with but you could swap one out later on to free up cash maybe?

        Good point on Krul. I may rotate but not very often so I should go for a 4m Sub GK.

      If you're playing De Gea every week then pick a 4.0 GK as well.

      I like the Baines pick for the season but I'd maybe wait for a few weeks till the fixtures get easier > swap him to a chelsea defender then use the money to upgrade Naismith after GW1??

      Very tough, i have literally been switching between the two all week. Currently on Haz. I dont think you can go wrong with either as long as you have one of them

      If both were match fit then I'd pick Hazard without hesitation. As it stands Fabrigas has had a good pre-season whereas Hazard hasn't so I'd pick the former.

      Long term, Hazard

    I am all over the place this year, cant settle and it is getting close, can someone help me, any advice appreciated. My major pendulum swings are happening in midfield - basically downgrading Costa to Bojan to 'upgrade' midfield to include Hazard, Sanchez, Mata, Sterling (those are the main players I have been thinking of not currently in the team).

    What do you reckon? RMT please.

    £0 ITB. Worried about Chambers as a long-term prospect as I didn't realise Mert was back so soon.

      Wenger in his press conference today said Everton (gw2) was earliest for Germans to return, and Mert only played like 50%? of the games at WC so he wont be as knackered as özil. Basically i wouldnt give yourself the headache of transferring him.

      A.... i think the Bojan bus will crash and burn... failed in spain failed in italy, why would he do better here... transferring him out is too much of a pain
