The Rate My Team Discussion

With so many of you seeking advice on their teams before August 16, we thought it would be prudent to run a daily community article to provide a dedicated focus for “Rate My Team” (RMT) requests.

Each day ahead of the new season, we’ll select one of the Fantasy Football Scout team and post up their own RMT request to open up discussion and encourage others to post their own. We’ll turn the comments over to you to provide a useful place for those seeking advice and highlight some of the key decisions under deliberation.

Please nudge those posting RMTs in other articles to visit this daily RMT article. Also, when posting requests, please remember to be courteous to those who take the time to help out. Equally, if you’re an experienced Fantasy manager with some views on initial line-ups, take time out to dip in and contribute – the Fantasy Football Scout team will be doing their upmost to offer their feedback as the discussion develops throughout the day.

      I cant recommend one who plays every week, only ones who could become part of a rotation. Tbh you probably need to downgrade Hazard to Fabrigas and use the funds on defence, or look at some rotations amongst your front 8 by downgrading Dzeko.

  I think Caulker and Ferdinand offer very little attacking wise but ferdinand is cheaper saving .5m
  Looks good otherwise. Bartley and Hutton could be considered for yout 4.0 DF

      Bartley unlikely to start now Swansea have signed Fernandez.
      
      Your defence is quite weak. Having all of Sturridge, Hazard, Costa and Rooney is killing you.
      
      Hazard to Fab could help your defence out.

      Plus you'd need to play Caulker every week to take advantage of his goals as they could come at any point. Not worth it for a QPR defender in my view

    Yeah I've been toying with that idea, Studge > Dzeko then Hendo > 9m +1m but I think that front 3 might be a must in the future..... 50/50 decision!

  Great striking options. I like PVA in the back, especially because he is such a bargain. I think that you might want to think about downgrading jones and saving .5 to use in your midfield. United's defense isn't their strength, and although their easy schedule at the start of the season is nice, I think Van Gaal's 3-5-2 will sometimes leave them exposed in the back

  Clyne is overpriced and playing for a club in turmoil, downgrade him to a 4.5 like Rio and upgrade Caulker to Debuchy or Jones.

Pretty set on this team now.

Begovic, Gilks,
Cahill, Clyne, van Aanholt, Coloccini, Hutton,
Mata, Ramsey, Sterling/Eriksen, Sigurdsson, Marney,
Rooney, Costa, Giroud.

Sterling vs Eriksen is the only decision I'm still not set on.
Liverpool are more attacking, but Spurs have far better fixtures.

  Close to a champions team.
  Personally I prefer Eriksen, because I got a feeling Pocchetino will make him the new "Lallana at Saints"
  Don't like van Aanholt / Coloccini rotation, they do have a perfect home/away rotation, but the home games aren't very enticing. Meaning, I would be on the look out for a different rotation pairing. 🙂

Also conscious that chambers will need replacing and not sure how many minutes Wisdom & Bruce will get.

    You could at least reply to my RMT if you're asking me a RMT.
    
    I'd say 8. I like the picks, but I'm not sure about a 4-3-3. You could upgrade Ireland to Sterling or Eriksen and have a cheaper defense.
