The Fantasy Flutter – Gameweek 3

We go up against Paddy with a tenner in hand once again and seek inspiration from the Scout Picks and Differentials in our attempt to bring home the cash.

We start at Loftus Road where QPR welcome Sunderland later this afternoon. Scout Pick Steven Caulker has already registered six attempts inside the box in just two appearances, and with Paddy prepared to offer 20/1 on a Caulker goal and QPR clean sheet, we’re willing to place our faith in his attacking instincts and shell out £3 for the Loftus Road encounter.

Next stop is the Etihad, where champions City take on Stoke. Having scored twice from the bench in recent matches, we’re going to stick our necks out and back Sergio Aguero to deliver yet again. The Argentine is pushing for a start against the Potters, and with Paddy offering 6/1 on Aguero to score two or more and City to chalk up a clean sheet, we’re making this our bet of the Gameweek, throwing £4 their way.

Our final £3 is kept for West Ham’s home match against Southampton. Summer signing Mauro Zarate grabbed a goal on his first start last weekend, and with Kevin Nolan injured, looks to have nailed down the role in “the hole” for Sam Allardyce’s side. Paddy are offering a massive 50/1 for the little Argentine to score two or more and for the hosts to keep a clean sheet – we fancy a punt on this one and part company with our final £3.

Register and Bet £10 And Get £20 Free

If you’re new to Paddy Power, you can take up any of these odds and get yourself a bonus. You can sign up on this site and get a free £20 when you register an account and bet a tenner.

Finally, of course, we should state that all these offers are only available to those aged 18 and over and are subject to Paddy Power’s terms and conditions. Also, if you’re going to bet, always gamble responsibly.

What would be the best 4.5 MID long term?

Doubts over playing time for King with Cambiasso incoming?
Doubts over playing time for Albrighton?
Bentaleb same, could be dropped at any time?

Could go safe with Cattermole or Wanyama, but they rarely score more than 2 or 3 points

Marney might be best long term for occasional attacking returns?

Its ur bench so 2-3 points is fine - anymore and they would be worth more than 4.5m.

This is a good point - if they are just there for back up then that's all you'll need. Actually can sometimes be a distraction getting the occasional 5 points from a 4.5 on your bench as you feel the urge to play him when you probably shouldn't

I'm going albrighton next gw. Literally no point in having cattermole or wanyama, Your best result is 3pts

Iv gone for Marney, hopefully will rarely have to use him and will most likely bench any points he does get.

Carlos Samchez looked lively for Villa when he came on last week. Could become a decent bench fodder choice, but not yet

I still have nightmares when I saw Costa limping off the pitch during the match against Barcelona last season. He was declared fit before the match, convocado, and then proceeded to reinjure his hamstring. I'm not placing my bets on his hamstrings. Costa--->Aguero for me.

On -12pts hit with this team

    Krul - Foster
    Lovren - Clyne - Naylor - Wilson - Dummett
    Siggy - Ramsey - Fabs - Sterling - Ince
    Rooney - Costa - Jovetic

    Should I …. ?

A: Absorb the hits. Wait & See the new signings on the deadline day.

B: Activate WC to wipe out all the hits and do some changes.
    Lovren -> Wisdom , Ince -> Di Maria , Costa -> Adebayor
