Same thing happened last season. Good players get bought.
I don't have the energy this late to kick about it again. Fabregas has been bought by almost a million people but only risen by 0.4m. Work that out
700K
More players this season so more transfers needed makes sense. Plenty of transfers get wasted in the process.
I am loving the fact that Mata is so underrated at the moment. Can't believe people are neglecting to see his potential.
The guy has hit 2 goals in 4 games, is playing in his preferred position (number 10 / in the hole)… His pal Herrera is back in the team, the two of them struck up a great bond in preseason games… Di Maria has brought some pace to the side which should surely create more space for Di Maria.
He's going to score BIG for sure!*oops… more space for Mata!
He is doing ok , mind you, those that sold for Sterling will be feeling a little happier today
Correct , but can you ignore sterling , fabregas , ramsey or di maria ?
True, there are great options. I'm not convinced Sterling is same class as Mata and think Rodgers will rest him sooner or later. Ramsey is awesome, but I have a feeling he will get injured.
It's very interesting this season… some cracking options.
Hazard (190 & 202 pts past two seasons) and Yaya (241 pts) aren't even being mentioned.he rested him last week. the error in judgement was noted. he's practically their most important player right now imo
He could be a real gem, because people will continue to be nervous about his game time and not be willing to buy in. But if he keeps playing, he should continue to produce.
Duff a good option? Disregard his 4.1M price when answering.
Yes. Burnley will reach 37 points with 37 0-0 games
I think so, burnley seem solid at the back and have a good run of games.
Absolutely, that have a great run of fixtures. Most have already got him.
Im like Ali in his prime
Moreno to Bertrand or
Azpi to Bertrand will allow me to go Balotelli to Aguero with 2 FT's.Who would you get rid of first (for a Soton def):
A) Chester
B) FerdinandB
Chester, he's non playing. Saying that his 0 might be higher than whatever Rio gets most weeks
Probably Chester as he's not even playing.
Both but probs A as he's not playing
My defence is a shambles, but I have two free transfers and 1.5 in the bank.
Pva, Coloccini, Ferdinand, Clyne, Moore.
Very happy to do get Chambers in, but how long is Debuchy out for? Any other big options I am missing out on?Debuchy out for months, your defence is fine , except fr Ferdinand probably
Then Chambers it is, and I can spend the extra cash elsewhere.
I'm ok with finding the stats for the attackers, its the defenders clean sheets that go out of the window for me.
Debuchy's out at least 6 weeks, maybe as much as 3 months. http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/29275029
If its only 6 weeks, I would hesitate playing him for at least 2 o those, so there is less reason. If it is longer, then he is a great buy imo. Its the vagueness in between.
Priced out of doing Caulker > Bertrand tonight if Caulks drops and Bertrand goes up.
Decent(ish) defence for next week - Evans, Naylor and Wisdom (eek)
Worth holding fire?Hold, plenty of big players playing tomorrow and a host of notable midweek cup ties.
Likelihood of Duff losing his spot? Might get him for Debuchy.
His place looks safe at the moment no reason to see why he would lose it
0.1m short? Why am i always 0.1m short?!
Move fast.
you've been ignoring those well-aimed penile extension messages
ooh that cud easily have been misspelled 'massages' :/
might be crazy and go with Moore, Duff and Wisdom and then just pick one each week to start
Rank from best to worst in terms on FPL:
Balotelli, Janmaat, PietersPieters, Janmaat, Balotelli.
This is like choosing your favourite child, but in a bad way.
Naylor or Duff in for Caulker?
Would you play your WC if you were happy with all your mids and attackers but your GKs and Defs were rubbish
Nope. Gradual transfers. Play the fixtures for time being and fix over 2-3gws you might even get some surpise cs like today
No, would need to want to change a couple of my attacking options but it was my defenders and GKs that probably got the most alteration.
I actually felt a bit sorry for Pool today. I don't dislike many of their players or BR (though I think at times he's trying to be too clever for his own good) and I do think they've done very well in rebuilding the team.
However, I felt no sympathy towards the fans barring a couple of exceptions. 😉They deserve to be relegated
Wouldn't go that far 😉
Majority of there fan base are disillusioned and everything about yhe club is cringe!
No space for them in modern footballThere is a bit of that but you'll have that.
I think Brenda's out of his depth. He was lucky to have Suarez last season. He's bought badly and must be praying that Sterling sticks around, though I wouldn't if I were him. Liverpool will struggle.
He does buy badly and is trying to be smart. Realistically I only consider Studge to be a real success of his, Coutinho on and off. Balo was, in my opinion, f**king bonkers as was losing Agger and Reina for Lovren and Migs.
But I do think he's done a good job bringing on a number of the younger lads to his credit.
I didn't. I dislike all of them.
I really should as well, was surprised.
Why did you feel sorry for Pool today? Not sure i managed to catch that from your post
They got thrashed by us. 😉
Nowt wrong with that, they just seem to be faltering big time.
Your boys are looking very good 😉They are. I am discombobulated. I mean - is this my team? 😉
Falcao and ADM at United, Alex Song a Hammer, never thought I'd see the day. Great business by Sam.
It was like watching Arsenal on a good day. 😉
The master plan is clicking into place, Ibrahimovic to become a Hammer in January 😉
To be honest, I don't know why I did.
Caulker or Wisdom -----> Clyne or Ashley Williams/Taylor? I already have Bertrand.
I already have Clyne and just did Caulker to Taylor.
Caulker may fall and Naylor may rise overnight so I bit the bullet and went for it.
Doubling up on Clyne and Bertrand isn't smart in my mind!Yea. Who is a better option Ashley Williams or Taylor?
I chose Taylor but your call I guess. Naylor set to rise in value, is cheaper and hopefully will make up for lack of goal threat at set pieces with some assists somewhere down the line.
My thoughts anyway!Taylor plays left or right back?
Left
You convinced me, just swapped out Caulker for Taylor. Caulker was great today but looking at QPR's defense and their upcoming fixtures unless he scores a goal he won't really be worth having.
Exactly my thoughts. You'd be holding for attacking potential only, which really isn't a good thing in my eyes!
A) Forster + Duff + 0.4M
B) Heston + Bertrand
Already have ClyneWill Balotelli's "Assist" stay?
Somehow have moved up to second in my draft league. Big up to Diouf!
Shawcross or Lovren to Naylor?? Neither seem to be able to keep cs but both have attacking potential.. Think Liverpools fixtures slightly edge it for me after this week..
Have seen nothing to suggest Lovren has attacking potential, i would be careful getting him, hes going to drop in price any day now
I have him trying to decide wether to drop him or Shawcross for Naylor.
He was, very at Soton.
Not so much at Liverpool. Wouldnt go near Liverpool defence.
Clyne, Taylor, Chambers good options.2 goals and 1 assist at Soton last season, not phenomenal.
Defense is currently:
Bego
Bertrand / Kaboul / Chester / Kelly / Moore
Most pressing one to get rid is Chester. Looking at form + fixtures, it seems like the best defender to bring in is either a Man U or Burnley one. Agree? Also is Duff nailed on? Didn't they bring in another centerback in the transfer window?I'm doubling up on saints defence, its an option
Didn't even consider this. That is a good option! I wish I had Forster instead of Bego though, then could get Wilson for 4.5. Save money and Forster is the more consistent option as I'm only playing 1 gk
X POINT 4 CURSE
The updates to the price change algorithm has really changed the dynamic of the game this year.
It's not yet been possible to amass enough cash to really make a significant difference to your weekly points tally, versus chasing the in-form players - and yet, +/- 0.1M on any transfer really hits subsequent transfers hard i.e. having £X.4M to upgrade elsewhere.
I was lucky to find Baines this week at £6.9M, using my spare 0.4M effectively and keeping it on the pitch... BE CAREFUL YOU DONT GET LEFT WITH £X.4M.
Almost worth highlighting interesting players at these difficult price points:
Lallana - 8.4M
Eriksen - 7.9M
Mirallas - 7.4M
Herrera - 7.4M
Baines - 6.9M
Terry - 6.4M
Diouf - 6.4M
Cisse 5.9M
Jagielka - 5.4M
Discuss? If .4 is a problem then by the same reasoning so is 0.9.
Think you're over complicating things myself!OK. I have one of those, and I will get another.
I will try and so it in such a way that brings me profit.
However, the REASON for my manoeuvres has much more to do with their points potential ...Im not sure it matters if you have .4 in the bank now, the prices are now spread over different price points, so losing .1 no longer equals losing .5
Not sure your initial statement is correct either.
Those that are careful with their money are well over a million better off than those who take no notice of prices, and the gap is accelerating
here s a question
which teams suffer most from aerial threats?Leicester?
Evans goal from a corner then 🙂
There is a joke in there about the war
I bet hes a Pelle owner, hoping the answer is QPR
If Costa scores tonight, I'll get him in.
If he doesnt, I'll get Welbz instead
Unless somehow Coleman scores a hatty..Naismith*
Not entirely sure what to do here guys.
2FT's 0.3 In the Bank
Bego,McCarthy
PvA, Moreno, Clyne, Moore, Naylor
Fab, AdM, Siggy, Sterling, Boyd
Costa, Welbeck, Kun
Not too keen on doubling up with Soton. Make a transfer for transfers sake?Looking great. I'd hold fire for now and wait for developments later in the week!
Wildcarded and bought in Sanchez and Manquilo.. How genius I was 😥
Ouch. Why did you do that?
Sanchez was in form and Manquilo .. i thought he was Bargain
Sorting out car insurance is an absolute shambles. 🙁
Tell me about it! Hate that time of year
Where do you live? If it is the UK try the NFU Mutual you can actualy speak to a person locally. Worked for them up to last year
Can you elaborate on this? What benefit does this have?
Well if you find it hard work you can go into your local office see an actual person go through it face to face. Top rated for claims and customer service in UK (at least they were last yr)
Anyone know if total fpl is working again for price rises/drop?
It's a guessing game still. Bertrand might go up and ntaylor but they might not.
Naylor will.
Not accurate. Just use it as a guide to who may or may not rise rather than treating it as gospel would be my advice!
Working but Not accurately
Hmm.. hate not to have controll over this.
Is Duff nailed or did they bring in a CB at the end of the window?
Loaned Keane from Man United but nailed on for now
Over the next 4 GWs who will score more points between Ramsey and Siggy?
They both score 8
My suspicion would be Ramsey,
That's my current suspicion. I'm don't think the gab will be that huge between them but every little helps
Ramsey imo
9 years, 9 months ago
Oh. So I see some complaints about owning Fabregas and Siggy is like not owning them as all serious players have them. Enjoy your new system
