What are people's thoughts on Vardy, any Leicester fans in? He assisted 4 goals today, is he a better bet than Ulloa?

When Leicester play 3 uptop Ulloa and Vardy and probably Nugent will start. Ulloa is the main target man, Nugent drops deeper and does the dirty work and Vardy offers pace on the counter. Considerin they've got 3 away games coming up expect Vardy to be their main outlet as he'll be the one getting the ball out of leicesters half and into dangerous areas on counters. When they play 2 uptop it'll be Ulloa and Vardy. Ulloa again the main target man and Vardy creating and making space for others etc just behind him.. Nugent will see the bench more often while Vardy and Ulloa are nailed on. When Nugent is on the pitch he is on penos.. when he is not Ulloa will be on them.
Last season Vardy was the most impressive player in the championship for me.. preseason i'd backed him to be teh main man at leicester and the budget price of 5 seemed too good to pass up but now that his injury worry is behind him i'm getting him straight away. While i love the beast that is Ulloa, i love guys like Vardy. much more entertaining to watch and the likeliness of an explosive score of the bench is higher. Just signed a new contract and i'm glad for the foxes that he did. he is quite a player.. Also Vardy at 4.9 is easily benchable while Ulloa at 0.7 more will mean you'll prob have to play him more often than not(which may not be a bad thing 🙂 ) .. anyway. just my 2 cents.. take it or leave it 🙂

Right then, brain storming for next week, bit of help -

    Bego (McCarthy)
Clyne - Azpil - Pieters (Taylor & PvA)
    Siggy - Zaha - ADM - Fabregas - Sterling
    Costa (C) - Balotelli (Naismith)

That'd be the team for next week, I've got 2 FT's and £0.7m in the bank, I'm thinking of ditching Balotelli & Naismith for Ulloa & Pelle, do it?

Genuine question: I think all professional footballers should be able to use both feet. Of course they'll all have their preferred foot, but I think crossing, shooting, passing - they should be able to do it with either.

    Agree or Disagree and why?

    9. the axolotl
      • 12 Years
      9 years, 9 months ago

disagree entirely. some people are just one footed simple as that. no amount of work can change it, they're just rubbish with the other foot. it's normally left footed people who are awful on other foot. maybe that's something to do with left footers being in the minority and therefore it's relatively easier for them to succeed. whereas as a right footed player, given the competition, you need both feet

      1. Ouch 8 point hit
        • 12 Years
        9 years, 9 months ago

I read an interview with Cruyff once where he put another angle on it. He said its nothing to do with your ability to use your (let's say right) foot, it's your inability to stand one-legged on your left. Sounds weird but makes sense.

haha, probably something in it though. there's an awful lot of one footed left backs. don't think the phenomenon really exists elsewhere

    10. Ouch 8 point hit
      • 12 Years
      9 years, 9 months ago

I agree but there have been some incredible players who are very poor with their weaker foot. Pretty much all lefties. I've always wondered why some of the best left footed players are so one footed.

      A) Thinking about Sanchez & Naismith to Sterling & Welbeck...

Don't know if I should leave the big differential in Sanchez which I've kept since the start of the season, to a bandwagon player in Sterling which I had for 5ish million for the whole previous season (I thought he was good for his price). But the 8 million this season got me reluctant to bring him in again this season.

Would it really be worth the change? I could alternatively do:

      B) Naismith & Blackett to Ulloa & Chambers.

Anyone feel my pain, help me out here please?

Keep Sanchez. Tottenham is a high scoring game usually. Apart from Chelsea, Arsenal has great fixtures coming up. Blackett needs to go. I wouldn't get Chambers though. Tottenham and Chelsea next then intl break coming up. Debuvhy could be back by then.

          Cheers mikey!

But if it's going to be a high scoring game Danny shud get a goal as he's solo striker? With all the midfield prowess giving him all the service he needs. Or will magic sanchez continue his rich vein of form. I'm looking for an alternative to Naismith, I made a tasty 0.3m off him already! So ulloa should be the only change for now? I have Wisdom, Clyne, Wilson to start defensively instead of Blackett.

Leicester City are flavour of the month now yeah? All the pundits will be singing their praises...

Shame that they couldn't acknowledge how good they were before outplaying an average United side

        Moore

But I would keep Colo. Good fixtures and NEW will improve.

Is anyone else fed up of Chelsea leaking goals??

In considering ditching Cahill and doubling up on Southampton.

      Thought?
