Christian Benteke could be set to return to the Villa squad to face City. Daniel Sturridge remains a doubt for Liverpool. The central midfield woes build for Burnley, Stoke have worries out wide for their trip to Sunderland, Hull are set to be without their number one keeper for the next month, whilst Nacho Monreal may be back for Arsenal.

Sean Dyche faces a problem in central midfield ahead of the trip to Leicester. The Burnley boss has confirmed that Dean Marney and David Jones are still unavailable, whilst Nathaniel Chalobah is also ruled out after sustaining a throat injury during a midweek reserve outing.

Christian Benteke looks set to return to the Villa squad for the first time in months. The Belgian turned out for the reserves in midweek as he steps up his recovery from an anterior ligament injury, though Paul Lambert has admitted Ron Vlaar is likely to miss out yet again as City roll up to Villa Park.

Steve Harper is set to start for Hull’s home encounter with Palace after Allan McGregor was ruled out for around four weeks with a shoulder injury.

Nacho Monreal has a chance of returning in time for Arsenal’s trip to Chelsea, Arsene Wenger confirmed earlier this morning.

Mame Biram Diouf is unavailable for Stoke this weekend after sustaining a hamstring injury in Monday’s win over Newcastle. Victor Moses is expected to shake off a minor thigh problem in time for the trip to Sunderland.

Wes Brown is available for the Black Cats once again after missing out with a calf complaint last weekend. Emmanuel Giaccherini remains a doubt for Gus Poyet’s side, though.

Brendan Rodgers has admitted he’ll have to “wait and see” over Daniel Sturridge’s fitness as Liverpool prepare to face West Brom. The Reds boss has confirmed the likes of Joe Allen, Emre Can, Jon Flanagan, Glen Johnson and Mamadou Sakho remain sidelined.

    Thoughts on Fabregas chaps? Chelsea's up coming fixtures aren't too kind and he's playing a deeper role with Ramires out. I had him down as a season keeper and can see him ticking on with a steady stream of assists but is he ever going to be as explosive as we'd like.

    Currently on WC and weighing up weather he is a worthy sacrificial lamb to facilitate Aguero.

      Get rid of anyone but Fab in the midfield. Players often score against their old clubs. Also mind that with the price rise it will cost you more to bring him back in unless you've transferred him in only recently.

    Agh can someone explain how Silva's price has gone up? According to transfers in and out he's not had any more in this week than he has lost in the last few weeks. Plans scuppered!

      i got tricked with the transfer market too with Rooney>Falcao. Out of nowhere, Falcao down 0.1 on Saturday. Just before he got 'protected' for some mysterious reason. How incredible this season is!

    Planning to use my free transfer next week for Dier -> Baines, but this week, does anyone know if Dier is likely to start? Not sure whether to play Clyne who is my first man on the bench at the moment.

      I'd play Clyne. Dier played in Europe on Thurs plus Dier didn't make team for last game.

        Fair shout. It'll be more frustrating if Dier comes on for 10 mins than if Clyne plays 90 but concedes. Clyne is on!

    Alright chaps, been a regular reader on the site this season and I'd like some thoughts on my team please. Currently sitting on 352 points. Team value is 101.8M with 0.5M ITB:

    DDD (Gilks)
    Clyne/Williams/Bardsley (Duff/Chambers)
    Siggy/ADM/Sterling/Gerrard (Al Ahmadi)
    Costa/Aguero/Ulloa

    Took Ramsey out as soon as he got injured and banged in Gerrard for the next few weeks. Replaced Felipe Luis for Williams, only this week, so lost out .5M keeping him for so long, grrr.

    Who would you recommend I replace DDG with after the international break? Got .5M ITB

    Those with Krul and a 4.0 - if you have no major other issues to fix is now the time to switch?

    Would look to get a cheap(ish) guy that I don't cover with a defender - but for me rules out Foster/Forster/Mannone. Is Adrian the man perhaps (though worried of Hammers injuries)?

    Haven't RMT since GW1 so here we go.
    Any advice for the next 5 weeks very much appreciated. 🙂

    League position pretty healthy so I don't think any major changes hopefully

    Jedanik - been getting me goals so a good sub! and only 4.9

    Captain help!

    Sterling - Easy fixture, on form BUT West Brom looking better, was **** in midweek, might be rested
    Balotelli - Same for fixture, must score soon, potential big haul BUT terrible form, could be dropped
    Di Maria - Everton are unpredictable, involved in lots, on form BUT poor last week, everton could be good, no rooney for support
    Costa - On form, scoring every game BUT played midweek and could be rested (or subbed off), tough fixture
