With West Brom and Man United set to see out the Gameweek tomorrow, we delve into the data from the nine matches played so far. Unsurprisingly, Man City, Southampton and West Ham’s in-form front men are on this evening’s agenda, whilst we also cast an eye over a couple of improving north London-based midfielders.
As a Liverpool fan I must say...we can't keep a cleansheet to save our lives.
Or score it seems like
Wouldn't take a hit to do that though
Errrr no.
can you not use a sub and wait until next week?
Not for a hit. You'd need a clean sheet just to break even
Who's got or considering to get Coleman AND Baines?
Coleman is crazily priced imo
I can't see a reason to do so... Howard+Baines/Coleman maybe if u want to double up!
I have decent TV, that's the only reason I'm considering it.
What does a television have to do with it? Don't get it...
I'm not certain if you were sarcastic.
In case you weren't, he's talking about team value.
Is Obertan essential?
More essential than Ben Arfa.
Demi asking the tough questions
Worth a sticky? Tadic got one
You really aren't keen on Tadic?
I truly can't think of a better mid to own when factoring price against those key underlying stats.
I don't think there's a better choice *stats* per million than him at the moment.Nah, nothing against Tadic. Just confused how he's getting bought in by so many people now after his big haul. Nobody labelled him essential before the massive haul against a really abject side in Sunderland. People were frustrated with his output, and now he's become the most sought after mid.
Funny, I got him a few weeks ago & was *fine* with the assist here & clean sheet point there. For 7.5 what more could I ask for? Just turn out some returns & let the Costa's & Aguero's do the heavy lifting. 😉
I must say, was over joyed when I found out he was on pens during their midweek game a while back...
Although, I do understand that the overreaction here is a bit much, & will be equally as stupid when he doesn't score 20+ pts next week.
Looking forward to the stream of "Lolz @ Tadic owners" comments.Indeed, perfectly happy with people like yourself owning him, and fair play on not selling like others did. You deserved his haul, and like you say, he just needs to turn out decent returns and let the big guns do their stuff. It's just the overreaction which i'm getting it. Pens a great appeal to him. I just have no room right now, and happy enough with Pelle on his own. Tadic could do well in the next three, but fixtures are about to stiffen up so from my point of view, no real rush to get him in on the back of the Sunderland game.
Agree on all front here.
GW13+ will get ugly for Southampton in general, & those who have Forster & Clyne may be in an even worse spot.
First time I heard someone calling a spade a spade, and a shovel a shovel in regards to tadic in fpl.
I got rid of him two weeks ago and had him since gw2 I was fed up waiting!
brought him in for ozil last week so yes.
who does he play for?
No. But wiping your hole is.
nonessential
Would you keep Sterling or Fab? Only can have 1....ok go!
Fab
Fab
fab.
Fab
Sterling
Fabregas
Fab.
Fab
So Sterling it is. Lol!
Thanks guys!
Four game weeks until Southampton are facing this run: MCI, ars, MUN, bur, EVE, cry, CHE, ARS, mun.
Probably worth bearing that in mind if you're thinking about replacing quality midfielders with Tadic or doubling/tripling up on Southampton. These may be short term purchases...I'll worry about that in four weeks time!
Given that I don't have a single Soton player, I am trying to take comfort from the upcoming turn in fixtures.
Playing blocks of 3-5 fixtures and all that. 😉
I'm considering a series of gradual fundraising transfers to fund Pelle>Costa around this time frame. I had a lucky strike by executing Costa>Aguero Friday night. I want Costa back in, but it will take time (my WC is gone). I may miss out on CHE v QPR as a result of this activity, but Aguero's explosion was a nice reward.
Yaya will blow up in the next few premier league games
Not one single thing to suggest that.. But hey, you might be a gypsy who can see into the future, who knows....
Well scored against Aston Villa and scored for Ivory C and I think we all know what he is capable off and now lamps is out YAYA will play in a more attacking roll this scoring more goals.
Could happen, however imo he has looked very sluggish and a bit out of form. Also he's not on pen anymore and will play deeper than last year...
He looked sluggish last year and now he will be playing In lampards roll (top 3rd)
How many weeks would you tolerate Costa being out for just benching him?
2 weeks because I don't have Aguero
4
If he's back vs QPR Ill keep him, really hard to ignore Aguero though...
1
1.
Had Costa from the start (so he would be expensive to sell and buy back) and already have both Aguero and Pelle. Would take a fairly long lay off to make me sell.
Bego due to fall tonight?
90 odd % on FISO
37% on FPL Statistics.
I hope not.doubt it
not yet
so what happened at the stoke game? highlights anyone? thanks.
Stoke bad until half time. Swansea then very unconvincing and Stoke finished strongly. Good display from nzonzi
thanks man.
We really have to have this out about Costa.
He's just this guy, right? He has scored a lot but there is no way he is the fulcrum that moves the world. (A) Never having had Costa is OK: lots of players have scored goals consistently, like Sakho, Pelle, and now Aguero. (B) Dropping him is not madness. He costs a lot of money and if you expect him not to play it is not foolish to drop him for someone who will play (and score). Everyone wants to talk about ho hard it will be to get him back in, but if you bought him late, he is not likely to cost more next week than what you sold him for the week before. So this whole "OMG you dropped Costa/don't have him, what are you going to do" thing is about people who had him from the beginning and believe their entire success is bound to Costa. Get over it. He is just this guy.
*I did not have him until after his hat-trick and have been playing catch-up ever since 😳agreed. but he scores lots of goals and his team look like they'll win the league, scoring a fair amount of goals in the process.
so essential - no.
useful if you like points - yes.I must admit it was you who inspired this rant. Frankly I agree with you, and I am already working out how I get him back for QPR, but I just can't get behind the whole idea that to drop him is some kind of fever symptom.
i'm all for bold decisions and all that, but unless you know he's injured, i think it's too big a risk to sell, especially as the honeybadger says - he's very high ownership, and you may be left behind.
The thing with Costa is his enormous ownage percentage, if you don't have him and he scores well you'll prob be dropping a lot...
This is what gives him such power over people's minds, but if you drop him briefly (or don't have him) in order to play someone else who scores just as well, then you're fine. It's the same argument with all "essential" players: there is a risk, but it is not madness to think someone else might get you as many points. Costa, at least before this week, was the safest bet. But there were always others, and this week the bet just got less risky.
I think the key point is he's very droppable, BUT only, if as you say, you've only gotten him in late as you did, GW6.
If, like me, you've had him since GW1, then to drop him (short term), and then go to get him back in again, i will lose 0.4m.
I would rather bench him and call in a sub, than spend 0.4m, particularly this season when building team value is so bloody hard.
for what its worth, unless he picks up a long term injury, then imo, he is a season long keeper. The undisputed first choice striker in the team that is going to win the league.
Try telling Costa he's just a guy.
Point taken. No I will not.
Costa will be 1st or 2nd top goal scorer.Random players can get a couple goal here and there but they won't be as contestant as Costa.Thats why it's madness to drop him.
Right, getting late, I've imposed my views on people long enough, goodnight.
remember everyone: never buy lukaku or toure.
who?
that's the spirit. nobodies really.
Bugger, just got Kolo in.
Need Aguero in my team. How do I go about it?? 3.5m ITB 1FT
Foster
Caulker Baines Hutton
Di Maria Fabregas Siggy Sterling
Pelle Costa Welbeckwait for Costa news
Costa > Welbeck
Had the same front line as you and 3/4 mids (Tadic instead of ADM). Could've done Costa > Aguero for free too, but chose to drop Welbeck for him and downgrade Terry to a cheapie. In your case I'd do ADM & Welbeck > Tadic & Aguero, but maybe that's just me. I simply think dropping Costa is a bad idea.
I'll be doing exactly this.
Wildcarding at the moment,
Di Maria Fabregas Siggy Sterling
Pelle Costa Welbeck
That was my front 7, but will be shipping ADM and Welbeck for Aguero and Tadic, and possibly Sterling for Ramsey too.
So is it time to ditch Hazard or what?
One of the most skilled players in the league, yet just lacking the returns 🙁
Was looking at his stats earlier from the Palace game and he's getting a hell if a lot of touches deep into the opponent's final third and penalty box. Fabregas however, seems to be creating more and it's clearly working from an FPL perspective 😕
Just seems to be one of those players recently that has the stats, but not getting the points.
A Tadic-esque haul incoming?keep the faith if for nothing else QPR at home
Hazard will probably have 1-2 big games soon. I'd guess QPR and West Brom, both home games in the next 4.
Over the course of the season Fab will probably score a bit more points, but never big hauls. Haz will have the occasional big haul, imokeeping. keeping forever. how many weeks do we have to go through this. I've made the leap of faith. I believe.
Repost - stuck on the bottom. Considering freeing up funds for eventual move back to Costa after shipping him for Aguero Friday night (I plan to keep Kun). Also don't like the looks of Liverpool. Thoughts on the following?
1) Sterling >
C) Chadli
E) Eriksen
T) Tadic
2) Moreno >
C) Chambers
D) Dawson
R) Rose (or Kaboul, I suppose)
T) Tomkins
I already have Naylor, the other obvious suspect in this price bracket. Thanks for weighing in.I'm doing 1E myself.
As for 2, I don't trust Spurs' defense so doubt Rose/Kaboul would be good value.Thx. Worried about losing Sterling ahead of nice fixtures but liverpool can't seem to get their act together.
Eriksen has nice fixtures too though so you wouldn't be missing much in that regard. Only five points difference between them as is, hardly worth the 1m price difference.....
2C
the other can waitThx. My instinct as well.
Will Moreno drop before next gw?
Reckon he will.Worried about this as well. But I don't think it will affect his selling price if you were around for his rise (i.e. 5.5 before or after a 0.1 fall, correct?).
probably
GW 10: Costa and Walcott or Welbeck and ADM? I have Fab and that's it.
Costa (if fit), Wally
Not really a contest. The first one.
cheers all. hope costa doesn't rise by then.
Hey lads, what do you think,

Aguero
Or
CostaCosta.
if both are healthy probably Aguero (pens being a huge factor in this)
Aguero if fit for the whole season. So Costa.
Kun
Costa
Hutton or Duff in for Maquillo?
Actually Manquillo -- Dummett means enough cash to do Sterling -- Wally in a few weeks time
Question about Fifth Mid
Who's best? Reason?
1) Obertan 4.4
2) Cork 4.4
3) Boyd 4.4
4) Albrighton 4.3
5) etc.Boyd.
Should I be delighted with my 95?
Or Gutted that I took out Tadic on Sat morning?Coming from someone sitting on a pretty 36 who nearly got in Aguero and Baines. Be happy. Be very happy.
Bit of regret perhaps but overall you should be well pleased, well done 🙂
I think you should collapse into a crying heap.
Cheers guys.
I keep looking at what rank I would have had had I still owned Tadic.
But I guess, I should also look at what rank i'd be had i not captained Aguero etc!
watching silence of the lahm..
I used to star in Batman and Robben but you do not hear me bragging about it !!!!!
a) Krul to Guzan
b) Krul Sterling Clyne to Foster Tadic Baines (-4)neither
It should be another way to get BainesPelle to Sakho or Fab to Tadic...
Why not a? Villa decent fixtures and Newcastle's are poor now
could be, but not a fan
Different crowd bit of a repost but buck it why not.
Vito
N.Taylor Toby Vlaar
Siggy ADM Sterling Fabregas
Aguero Pelle Costa
bench: Hamer Wilson Rio Albrighton
Defence looking weak, might have to move Vito on as a priority, I'd like to have Baines but it'd cost me a big mid which I dunno about. Views? 0.0itb 1ft.I think you should hold your free transfer this week and possibly use two free transfers to improve your defence . Swansea have tough fixtures , QPR are useless and Villa do not look as solid as before
Thanks Adam West.
Wait for tomorrow games and Costa news
ADM n Costa possible enablers for Baines if you want to take the hit
Otherwise, I would saveThanks fella.
Looks good to save imo.
Hopefully vito keeps his spot for you. Maybe shift rio at some point but no immediate rush. Looks a v good team to meVito I may move on for Foster this week coming pending other info.
Thanks for the reply.
Costa needs to go.
Hahaha good one MRU.
Which of these two to bring in for Moreno?
A) Craig Dawson
B) RobertsonDawson
Dawson. Far better fixtures atm
Why the feck did Pieters start??? The one week I don't want him to he fecking starts!! Feck!!!
😆 at your grav.
Would you get Barkley in this gw?
Wait and keep an eye on him for now.
Getting rid of ADM + Welbeck to fund Aguero,
Good move?
ADM has City Arsenal and Chelsea in next 4, will get him back after
Leaving a front 8 of:
Haz Fab Sterling Siggy
Pelle Aguero CostaWelbeck --> Good fixtures, inform. People don't take him seriously enough because of his poor form at Utd.
ADM --> Inform and Utd don't seem to struggle to score. I'd see what he does this week. Might be hard for you to drop him if he performs really well.
Triple Chelsea seems a bit much. Drop Hazard?strangely I think ADM will do well against the big teams, big game player and all that.
Think I can afford to give it one more day, see how Falcao does tomorrow night and then decide who is making way for Aguero.
