Fantasy Football Exchange

Introducing Fantasy Football Exchange

Fantasy Football Exchange (FFE) is a new player in the Fantasy Football market. Having made its debut earlier in the season, the guys at FFE are looking for folks to get involved in the game and offer feedback.

The game provides weekly, monthly and season-long leagues and also enables you to set up your own. Leagues can be played for free or you can back your selections by laying down a stake and competing for cash prizes.

They’ve provided a Fantasy Football Scout league for this weekend – it’s free to enter with a £500 prize pot to be split amongst the top managers.

While FFE is a newcomer, the game should be immediately familiar to most of us. The ruleset is very similar to the Fantasy Premier League (FPL) game: the squad structure is the same, whilst the scoring system is almost identical to the FPL, with a few, rather neat exceptions.

Firstly, FFE have decided to approach bonus points differently, basing their awards on the average 1-10 rating score gathered from three daily newspapers. An interesting angle and, arguably, a fairer method of measuring the impact of players on matches.

The game also takes the brave step of splitting the midfield positions, something I’ve advocated for several seasons.

FFE squads can also include defensive midfielders, who score two points for a clean sheet kept by their team. With the bonus points potentially doing a better job of recognising player performance, there’s now even an argument to consider Lee Cattermole. Okay, that might be going a bit far, but you get the idea.

Like the FPL, the game has dynamic prices based on player popularity. Despite this, your current FPL lineup should translate pretty easily to FFE as the player pricing is very similar.

Our starter league runs for just Gameweek 12 but FFE also offer monthly and season-long tournaments, either for free or for an entry fee. You can also easily set up your own private or public tournaments, setting the prize and stake involved.

Visit FFE now to get involved. Our league is set up and all you’ll need to do is enter this code (1305 0274 9779 8067) to get involved – our league name is Fantasy Football Scout GW12. Have a look around the site, set your squad up for the weekend and take us on. Alternatively visit this link -after you sign up the league will be automatically unlocked.

The guys at FFE will be back with a Hot Topic next week to gather any feedback and bring us news of future FFS leagues.

To Sign up to FFE FFS GW 12 League…

Head on over to FFE and, once you’ve registered and created an account, click on “Leagues” on the top right – from the menu generated, select “Join and create more leagues”.

This will then give you the option “Got an invitation for a private league?” and from this, by pasting in the above code and hitting “Continue”, you’ll have joined our league in time for the weekend’s action.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

If you don't own Fabregas you wouldn't bring him in now.

        Why?

Better production than Haz or Oscar and more lileky to continue supplying assists.

Oscar is boom or bust type pick and take pens away from Haz what are you left with?

Fabs consistently tops the assists charts.

If Oscar doesn't score he doesn't really assist. Hazard has 3 goals and 2 assists, all for £10m? Downing has the same and costs you £4m less and isn't on pens.

I could show you Tadic's stats, they're great too, but Fabs has more points than him too.

I think Fabs is a perfectly good option to choose if you want a Chelsea mid, as long as he's healthy.

Haz seems to be the fashionable FFS must have pick.

You don't bring in Hazard because of his previous returns though, you buy because you think he will score big based on his run of fixtures, potentially better form and on penalties

Yes but the underlying stats are not a guarantee of future returns.

Look, Haz is a good shout but my point is that I don't understand people dismissing Fabs. As I said down the page, Costa really is going to be the main points scorer in this run barring injury or suspension.

I don't see a massive difference between what Haz will score over what a fit Fabs will give you. Nothing wrong in keeping Fabs or getting him in if he's fit.

I tend to get put off by prevailing attitudes on here that you must get X player and anyone who doesn't is stupid for not doing so.

I don't understand why Sakho is being sold at such a high rate. I'd still want him even if he is out for next game which we don't know yet. Plus Austin away to Newcastle is not that good a fixture.

here is my team....it is the result of a rage induced -12 before last gw....after hating my team all year i finally like the look of this one.....any advice/comment appreciated

    foster myhill
    janmatt naylor chambers dummett moore
    sanchez hazard wally siggy boyd
    aguero costa valencia

i had tried a different tactic of expensive defence this year but this team is me reverting back to my cheapo def / big hitters attack which served me well before. yes i know wally is in too soon but i just hav to own him when fit. my emphasis when making team was balance of funds. my 3rd stricker position has to be sorted but valencia costs roughly what i want to spend on the position, so hes in while i decided on a long term player there.

You can't say "buy Costa next GW if he doesn't get YC this GW"! 😀

Our must haves for GameWeek 12 are: Costa, Forster, Janmaat, Willian, Barkley and Bojan. On our in-game newsfeed you can keep up to date with who is earning and losing points in real-time

I don't think it's such a bad reply personally. A forum/messageboard is for agreeing or disagreeing with things. Doosra simply disagrees with the 'must haves'.

Bojan, Willian and Barkley must haves?

Costa and Forster appear the safest bets.

Hi Harriffe. I can't seem to change my formation/bench/captain? I'm using IE if that makes any diff.

Hi! You change your formation by clicking on the player on the pitch and then clicking on your bench player. When you click on a player, their profile will pop up and in the profile you will see the buttons "make captain" and "make vice-captain". The game should be fine on IE, but please use another browser if your are still having issues. Enjoy the game.

Loved not owning hazard so far but it must be time to get him now?
I want to own him when the long awaited big haul comes in. Hate to lose Fabregas tho

Unless he's injured or starts blanking consistenty I'm keeping Fabs.

I've seen this before on this site oads of times. Haz is now the must-have.

Give it 3 weeks and all the Fabs sellers will probably be cursing the 'casuals' who kept Fabs as he rakes in a monster haul and Haz does nothing.

To be honest with you, if you have Costa you basically have the main attacking points scorer for Chelsea. I don't think there's going to be a massive difference between Fabs and Haz unless one of them is out long term (and that's possible with Fabs injury history I guess).

However, at this stage I don't see theburning need to do that transfer. Still, most everyone else on here will tell you to do it so what do I know?

Yeah I'd be happy with that. Maybe put Marney second sub over Wisdom though. Marney has more chance at 2 points in my opinion.

God... it's such a relief to have Hazard in the team again! I'll never be nervous about not having Fabregas in the team for any certain gameweek, and that's worth it even if Fabregas scores as good as Hazard for the rest of the season :p

    Bench Berahino or Downing?

I could still do Fabs > Hazard yet. But still in 2 minds.

How should I order my bench? It consists of Wisdom (che), Marney and Moore (LEI). Leicester only keeping one cleansheet this season.

      Marney, Moore, Wisdom.

Fabregas the only player I don't fancy to score well even if he is fit. And his price drop is the only one which would impact my sell value right now. Perhaps Fab>Haz still the way to go. I wouldn't be the only one relying on my bench this GW.

About to pull the trigger on a triple tran. Opinions please.

    Fabianski

    Moreno / Chambers / Clyne / Baines / Wisdom

Sanchez / Di Maria / Sigurdson / Downing / Schneiderlin

    Aguero / Pelle / Berahinio 0.2ITB

    Plan:

Schneiderlin > Boyd, Cork or Brady..?
    Di Maria > Oscar
    Pelle > Costa

Forget about point hits, what do we think about the moves and which 5th mid?

    Cheers lads

    Pelle + Fab -> Aguero + Moses (2FT)?

Moses is a 1 week punt who will be upgraded to Downing after next gameweek.

Yes or no? It's the only way I can get Aguero without taking a hit. It's now or never

The bench order possibly cant be more important than this game week possibly for the entire season.
How should I arrange this bunch
Duff: Good chances of a clean sheet
Marney: Almost guaranteed of two points over the entire season
Hutton: I fear a five minute Cameo.
