Pretty crap top of the page, apologies.

It makes you wonder why some people stop playing this game even if they're doing really well at one point.

this is unreal. has been playing the game longer than I have as well. history is atrocious, why would you bother keeping on playing if you are gonna give up each year? More so, he'll have been aware what a great start he had this year so why not pay more attention to it?!

So Terry, Hazard & Fabregas almost doubled my GW score last night, finished up on 77 which seemed impossible on Saturday evening.

Big decision for this week is whether I get rid of Lukaku for a hit or not... thoughts?

      Who comes in?

After somehow managing a decent score despite captaining Bony [brought him in for a hit no less], I'm a bit weary about hits.

      1. Park the bus

yeh same. rooney is my main choice, probably because i can get him in with the exact funds available. but theres the midfield thing to consider here. falcao would be such a badass pick but i dont have the balls to do it.

        1. Mata-Is-The-Juan
          • 10 Years

Rooney owner here and my plan is to get rid for Giroud and ditch Sanchez for ADM.

I'd go for RVP or take the dive and go with Falcao. Main issue with Rooney is his deep position, yes he still scores but I feel that doesn't make him a decent captain option.

yes agreed. i won't go for Falcao, not at the moment. if he starts playing regularly in Jan then he'll be an option for sure. fixture congestion and the fact he's only recently returned from injury puts me off him for now. think I'll stick with Lukaku then get Benteke in.

Wait a couple days [Pressers are on Wed I think] to see who out of Siggy or Hazard is out longer then make your decision. Moves do look good on paper.

Got to keep Hazard. I've already sold Sig for Silva though. Even if Hazard misses one game, it's no biggie. Wasn't a muscle injury, probably a cut or something judging by the tackle.

Studs on Achilles. All depends on bruising, extent of etc. No one knows if he will play or not, all speculation. He walked off but was in a lot of pain initially. I reckon he will miss next game if I were to speculate!

I'd argue not having one of Fab or Hazard gives you an opportunity to experiment/take a punt on other players. I was stubborn about getting Cesc and ended up with Chadli [& later Downing].

At least, that's how I console myself whenever he gets another assist.

    guzan mcarthy

    bertrand clyne hutton wisdom YUN

    sanchez yaya silva downing HAZARD

    rooney austin DZEKO

    0.1 ITB 2FT

    A. Dzeko --> benteke (Kane and leave money to upgrade else where)

    B. Dzeko/Downing --> kane/sterling (i know this is unorthodox but the fixture turn and differential can be epic)!

I got Demichelis because of Mangala's 4 YC's. After he serves his suspension or Kompany returns I'll probably bring him in, he's nailed on more than anyone bar Kompany and I've watched Citeh's recent games and he's looked fantastic.

I have no idea why people have him down as poor fixtures.

Arsenal's problems seem to be in defence not attack. 12 goals in last 4 competitive games. Opposition wise, they seem winnable. But probably because there are a few tricky games away from Emirates.

Next 6 is too much, so you can leave AVL out and then it doesn't look that good.
      Not that bad either tough.
I might go for Costa => Giroud, but will probably still captain Sanchez.

    6.2M ITB!

    Panti

    Taylor Azpi Davies
    Fabregas Silva Hazard Sanchez (Downing)

Guys I am in need of serious help here with my side!

    De Gea
    Bertrand, Baines, Chambers, Cahill
    Siggy, Oscar, Eriksen,
    Lukaku, Costa, Kane

    Subs: Gilks, Wanyama, Marney, Mcshane

    2FT, 3.9ITB
Even though Oscar did not play last night I don't want to take him out as he will most probably start this coming gameweek.
Maybe I should just change mcshane to a playing defender so in the case of rotation my subsitiute will give me some points?

If you have this much spare time, you should answer this

      a) Siggy, Costa => Silva, Giroud

      b) Sakho, Costa => Benteke, Giroud

      😉

If I started of with GW ranks of 9 and 4k I'd be pretty p*ssed off at not getting to no. 1 OR. No wonder he quit.

how appealing did Cesc look playing off the front last night? he'd be brilliant behind Remy and his pace. That cart-horse Costa couldn't finish his dinner.

Costa hasn't been playing well FPL wise but he has been good for Chelsea imo. Cesc will be shifted deep again with Oscar coming back in. But Cesc will always be involved in the goals no matter where he plays

Yeh link up play good for Costa but the goals have dried up. Reminded me of Torres at times last night which is a pretty damning assessment. Not that I'm complaining, binned him weeks ago!

In terms of a goal threat, Cesc looks a lot more menacing off the front. such a good player.

I'm tempted to drop Costa and double up with Haz and Fab in midfield and getting a Chelsea defender too

Looked great but how many times has he played that position and is he likely to stay there? Doubtful I'd say.

yeh of course he won't with Oscar around, i'm not saying he will. the fact he can play deeper as well as off the front is great for Cheldea.

13pts can easily be eroded by a good captain choice and/or a decent all-round GW.

      Who are the other MIDs?

Crazy indeed. Relax. Find time to unwind from the stresses and strains of this world. Then come back fighting next gw. But don't do Haz to fab for a hit for gords sake.

    Captain choice?

Haz, Sanchez, Giroud or Yaya/Silva ?

Gone Haz(C) and Giroud (VC) at the moment but could go Sanchez as well

Gotta go with your guts on this.

Hazard is definitely a favorite going into GW18 but WHU are a pretty capable team. Might not be quite the walk in the park for Chelsea.

I asked this same question last night but I'm hoping there are a different bunch of fans on-line now, and therefore a different perspective.

Tricky decision to make for next game week my squad is as follows:

    de Gea

    Baines---Zab---Terry---Ivan---Azpil

    Downing---Di Maria---Erikson---Nasri---Albrighton

    Carroll---Austin---Bony

As West Ham face Chelsea next GW, I'm wondering if I should do form over fixtures and drop 2 Chelsea defenders and play Carroll and Downing?

    Thoughts?

      Terry Ivan Azpi? Wow.

I would play Zab - Terry - Ivan - Baines
Downing or Carrol upfront, thought decision.

Despite their current form I can see a blank from WHM

      Play your best players?

I've got 2 Chelsea defender + Downing and plan on playing all 3. Might end up being a nightmare scenario where I lose the Chelsea CS points and Nolan runs away with the points via a PK goal but they are still among my best players so play them I will.

Thats diff but I like it.
Tough week as you will have 5 players chasing one ball.
Prob lose at least 1 def and prob upgrade Downing/Nasri/Carroll to Sanchez/Silva/Giroud.
      Not sure who you prefer.

    2FT .5

    Guzan
    Baines Zaba Dummett (Wisdom Duff)
    Sanchez Yaya Haz Eriksen Sig
    Costa Austin (Sakho)

    a) Sakho Eriksen to Kane Silva - would then bench Austin
    b) Sakho Duff to Kane Debuchy - bench Dummett
    c) Just Duff to O'Shea - bench Dummett
    d) Sakho Baines to Giroud O'Shea - bench Dummett, maybe captain Giroud

How many subs do you guys think our teams will generally need?

    1, 2 or 3?

    Which is better:

    A) Marney, Hutton, 5.5 defender
    B) Bolasie, Hutton, Duff

Morning, any thoughts on the below?
Desperately want to break back into the top 10k and my rival has closed a 30 point gap on me to 10!

    DDG

    Baines, Mangala, O'Shea

    Hazard (c), Sanchez(v), Siggy, Eriksen

    Costa, Austin, Lukaku

    Subs: Given, Walters, Hutton, Saylor

I want Baines, Lukaku and Costa out, but now I'm worried that I won't have a captain if Hazard out and Sanchez gets rested 🙁

    A) Was thinking about taking a punt on Falcao for Lukaku/Costa or
    B) Saving my FT

    Any advice?

Not soon enough! For my minileague, I do a writeup of everybody's opponents and 16 of our 20 qualified, so I have a lot of work to do between now and GW18
