FFS Paddy Power Cup X – Fourth Round Draw

Tonight we roll out the fourth round draw of the Fantasy Football Scout Cup X, as sponsored by Paddy Power, as well as  look back at the nail-biting conclusion to the Third Round ties.

With a score of 105 points, Made of Stone achieved the highest haul of the round. Given his losing opponent Paul Penney notched up an impressive 84 points, it shows just how tough this competition gets towards the final rounds. Made of Stone’s heroics, which included captaining David Silva and having John Terry and Pablo Zabaleta in his defence, earn him a round four tie against Nordeast.

The Fourth Round sees two top ten players looking to progress further in the competition. Randy Milla sits in seventh overall and faces 1,217th ranked Whalley DJ. Meanwhile, Doctor101 may be a credible 2,431st overall but has the tough task of taking on eighth placed Never Trust Lukaku.

Another name to watch out for in round four is Granville. Our Scoutcast co-host saw off Huddy in round three and will meet Fantasypete next.

Other notable community match ups in round four include Tommy J against Louis Van Goal and Dez against Gimli son of Gloin.

The full list of third round results can be found here, while the fourth round draw in full can be found here.

Good luck to those involved in the weekend’s action. In the meantime, though, if you’re looking for more information on the Scout Cup schedule and prizes available, click this link for a more thorough rundown.

Selling Costa for -4 is probably an awful idea right? Is it time to step away from the keyboard??

I know but Costa is really grinding my gears. I think we will see much more of Falcao also. RVP coming off the last day was a good tell

    Wisdom to Zaba
    or
    Save FT?

If save, who to play between:
    A. Wisdom (MCI)
    B. Yun (ars)
    C. Dummet (mun)

what do you think that % should be. 6"s is probably inflated. I'm not sure I've ever seen a taller line-up than Stoke, and i'd still say that if you eliminate Crouch. Yesterday he was always 2-3" shorter and of course it's always the defender who has the advantage. Just saying.

agreed, attacker trying to win the ball and maintain possession whereas the defender just needs to get it away..

yeah, and Yaya could get a penalty.. You have a luxury problem, but I would say Giroud. Maybe I put to much in the fact that he plays at home.

RP for those who weren't on earlier.
Monk has said that Montero, Britton and Siggy have trained today and that we have a fully fit squad for the Villa game

Looking at the fixtures over next 5 GW best forward line IMO

        Benteke, Austin, *

        *
        GW18: Bony, Giroud or Falcao
        GW19-22: Jovetic or Falcao

I'm looking at Falcao, although not this week. Need to see how Mun line up now that ADM is back fully fit.
I have Bony, Costa and Giroud and want rid of Bony out of the 3.

Bony is going to start, would be a bad time to sell.

Yeah, not this week but need Austin in over the festive period for price rises and home games.

Well if you were brave enough to go Milner, you gotta play him

Which city defender is best to put in for the next 3 fixtures?

          Hart.

After that, Demi, Zaba, Mangala, Clichy/Kolarov in that order.

That is, if it's ManC you're asking about 🙂

Is costa playing that bad? Surely he will start scoring again?! Playing up top on his own for Chelsea?

Last time I checked he has been doing it since the start of the season and he does not look the same player.

Better options around there with 11m.

I guess it's not that he's bad but that there are a lot of cheaper strikers who are scoring more.

I might sell this week. He will definitely miss at least one game over Christmas.

Even if he scores one its not good enough for 11.2

I'm in the same boat but it's a FT, ugh he's a drain on my team at the mo.

I think keeping the FT might be better over the course of the next few weeks.

Can do treble city and Benteke then next week (have Yaya)

A few quick questions, here's my team:

        Guzan Krul
        Clyne Azpilicueta Dummett Hutton Bartley
        Sanchez Fabregas Sigurdsson Toure Ameobi
        Kane Giroud Austin

        I have £5.9M ITB.

        1) Who should my (C) and (V) be?

        2) Should I take a hit an make any more transfers? It doesn't look like Dummett will be getting a CS and as I have Guzan I don't want 2 Aston Villa players to rely on for CS. So should I transfer Bartley out, and for who?
        3) Any other transfers?

I'd captain Guroud or Sanchez with the VC on Fab.

          No hits required.

          upgrade Ameobi !!!

          and Guzan > Hart

            1: Giroud (c) Kane (v)
            2: Don't take a hit
3: next week Bartley to Man City Defender then start thinking about upgrading Ameobi to a decent 5th mid that rotates well with Austin for his away games , will also come in handy having a good first sub, I love your front line

Good advice but Austin rotation options are thin on the ground. Bolassie looks like the only cheap option

Bolasie is my rotater 🙂 playing him ahead of Austin this week 🙂 can sense a Tadic Sunderland style week coming , hope it's this one
