The Fantasy Flutter – Gameweek 18

We go head-to-head with Paddy once again this Gameweek and place our faith in a trio of in-form players with tasty looking fixtures on their Boxing Day menus. Arsenal’s resurgent frontman, Man City’s little magician and Tottenham’s Danish maestro are all called upon in our bid for a Merry Christmas.

Our first port of call is the Emirates Stadium where Arsenal face a QPR side that have lost every away match this season and scored just three times on their travels. Four goals in six appearances since returning to injury brings Olivier Giroud into contention for this one, and despite the form of Charlie Austin, we’re going to back the hosts to win this one comfortably – with Paddy offering 13/2 on Giroud to score two or more and Arsene Wenger’s side to collect a clean sheet, we’re shelling out £3 on this one.

Next up we head to the Hawthorns as West Brom host champions City. The odds are on Manuel Pellegrini’s side to deliver at both ends of the pitch in the Midlands match – they’re looking for a seventh straight win here and have conceded just a single goal in five. Paddy are willing to offer 11/2 on David Silva to score and City to earn clean sheet and we’re backing the little Spaniard to get amongst the goals once again – we part company with another £3.

Our final cash is splashed on Tottenham’s trip to struggling Leicester. Christian Eriksen’s sparkling form looks too good to ignore here – the Dane has scored in two of his last three away appearances, with only Chelsea keeping him at bay. With Paddy prepared to offer 8/1 on Eriksen to score and the north London outfit to keep out their hosts, we make this our bet of the week and hand over our final £4.

Register and Bet £10 And Get £20 Free

If you’re new to Paddy Power, you can take up any of these odds and get yourself a bonus. You can sign up on this site and get a free £20 when you register an account and bet a tenner.

Finally, of course, we should state that all these offers are only available to those aged 18 and over and are subject to Paddy Power’s terms and conditions. Also, if you’re going to bet, always gamble responsibly.

It's not a bad week to take a hit if you have non-playing players. Today is a good day to get rid of them as subs will be needed.

All of a sudden reports that Hazard will miss today's game and possibly the next one as well. How reliable are these sources?

    http://www.caughtoffside.com/2014/12/26/chelsea-predicted-xi-for-west-ham-boxing-day-clash-eden-hazard-misses-out-with-oscar-returning/2/

    http://www.theguardian.com/football/2014/dec/24/eden-hazard-chelsea-west-ham

Looks like I will sell him and get him back on WC since Chelsea have 2 tough away games to follow anyway.

This. No 'predicted lineups' are 100% accurate. Key word: predicted.

There are no quotes and there is absolutely no pertinent evidence in either report,

It could be true but those sources are unreliable.

My fear is that the only confirmation that we got that he is fit is from Hazard himself right after the game. You can never know that quickly. Its the next day that you feel sore.

One last dilemma for me: Siggy to Yaya or save the FT?

No City players in my team is driving me crazy but it just feels wrong to ditch Siggy before a home game vs Villa..

What are your thoughts guys? Thank in advance.

Would you sell Guzan for Panti for free if you had Hutton. Makes sense right.

    Will give me:
    Panti (Elliott)
    Baines, Ivan, Zaba (Chambers, Hutton)
YYT (c), Sanchez, Hazard, Downing, Siggy
    Bony, Austin (Sakho)

Would you take a hit to sell Sanchez for Cazorla (c) as possible rest for Sanchez & Cazorla in great form atm. Cazorla great captain punt as well.

    Thanks.

I'm struggling this week, really not feeling good about my team but when I look at it the only transfer that makes sense is Yun to O'Shea. Not sure on captaincy either.

    Green
Ivan, Baines, Kolarov (probably won't play)
    Hazard, San(c)hez, Nasri, Siggy
    Costa, Bony, Kane

    Boyd, Hutton, Yun(RIP)

Any thoughts? 1.6m in bank and 1FT
