The final match of Gameweek 22 gets underway at Goodison this evening as Everton prepare for the visit of Tony Pulis’ West Brom. The new Baggies boss steadied the ship with a 1-0 home win over Hull in his first league match in charge but faces a tough task to turn around his side’s woeful away form, with just two points accrued in their previous five road trips.

Saido Berahino has netted five times in two matches across all competitions since Pulis’ appointment, though, and will fancy his chances of breaching a backline that has conceded in each of the last 11 Gameweeks. The likes of Andre Wisdom and Joleon Lescott are also on Fantasy radars as we look to the “Pulis effect” to transform the West Brom defence.

For the hosts, Romelu Lukaku and Kevin Mirallas will be looking to kick on from their midweek cup displays at West Ham. Both grabbed a goal apiece in the Upton Park defeat, with the latter also supplying an assist for his compatriot, whilst at the back, Leighton Baines’ two assists in the last three suggest he could yet persuade many Fantasy owners to hold for now as the Toffees attempt to rediscover last year’s form and climb up the table.

    Another pen in this game - you'd often give it to the guy who missed right, to let him redeem himself?

    But beyond to tonight, Baines will just quietly take them back.

    I did think maybe Mirrallas would nick his pens eventually.
    Very glad he missed as otherwise it might've been permanent.

    I agree with the idea that this is pathetic from Martinez. You have one of your most loyal and dependable players who is also an exceptional penalty taker getting bullied by an average at best egotistical pratt.

    I recall Hazard giving a penno to someone when they had one the game (maybe Schalker 4-0 up I thnk) and Mou went off on one, if I was Martinez I would sub Miralles to teach him a lesson the bell end.

        Well as I said I would pull him at half time to teach a lesson. But it suggests a lot with about the discipline at the club that Baines who is the senior player, captain at times and exceptional penalty taker gets bullied in the middle of a game at home by an arrogant average player. Miralles obviously felt like the repercussions of his actions would not be that bad. Would love to see a player do that and go in at half time with Fergie.

        Also I was going to compare to Wenger, this goes to the idea of the highest level of detail when running your club. I just cant imagine Mou, Fergie not laying down the law in stuff like this especially given the importance of the game. Some managers feel that there is no detail too small to think about

    I think Gerrard captain ceding the PK to Sturridge during the DGW last season was worse, but that was brutal as a Baines owner.
