With winter Wildcards in play, we turn our focus on three in-form midfielders in our second members article of the week. Christian Eriksen, Santi Cazorla and Oscar were all amongst the goals in Gameweek 22 and are more or less identically priced in the Fantasy Premier League (FPL) – the former pair set you back 8.2, whilst the Chelsea man is slightly more expensive at 8.3.

With Alexis Sanchez and Eden Hazard looking nailed on for most Fantasy managers, the trio are vying for a spot as the third pricey midfielder in many plans right now. As more look to restructure their sides ahead of the Gameweek 23 deadline in ten days’ time, we assess their recent matches and delve into the data over their last six appearances.

    If I understand correctly, there could be blanks for Spurs and Liverpool/Chelsea on GW 27 due to CoC. I'm not interested in Liverpool options given their fixtures. Spurs also play Wba (Pulis), Arsenal, Liverpool and Westham before GW 27, so getting in any Spurs players (if you don't already have Kane) is not advisable imo. As for Chelsea, I'm afraid we don't have this luxury. Chelsea play Villa,EVERTON,BURNLEY before GW 27 and it would be madness not to have 3 Chelsea players for these 3 games (2 of them at the bridge) just because there could be a potential blank. Just make sure you have a good bench to cover that and if you can have 2 FT before GW 27, that would certainly help.

      Exactly, happy to bench 3 for that week. May switch out one player for the week if cant get full 11 out, just pick the one you lose least cash on. Not worth planing for it yet. Need 3 CH right now imo

      Not sure that you need the 2FTs to be honest. You're unlikely to want to lose money on any of the Chelsea players just because of one missing fixture. Also a missing GW27 necessarilly means a double GW later on. Just plan to have decent bench cover that week imo.

                  If, by form, you mean getting a few golden chances but missing, then yes. But that would also mean Balotelli was an option back in his first few game weeks.

                  As for Defoe, well think of Defoe as a cake. Having penalties should be the icing on the cake, not the cake itself. You should never rely on them, especially when Kane and Austin are both lurking around that price range.

                    No, I don't. Everybody misses. Don't categorise Falcao until we have more info.

                    I myself would not get both, but they are currently viable options.

                      See my comparison though, until Falcao starts getting shots on target instead of missing sitters, similar to Balotelli when he was playing.

                      Defoe, on the other hand, has shown no sign of form so I don't see why people are considering him.

        Don't think he can repeat that performance. Not that he is Not talented enough but it was a one off tactics to knock man city off guard when all the attention was on Sanchez. Wenger field coquelin, bellerin, ospina and monreal, not your normal usual suspect against one of the toughest team in the league. I see Sanchez will run wild again at home next week.
