Injuries

The Treatment Table – Gameweek 26

We cast an eye over the new injuries sustained during the weekend’s ten fixtures this evening. Problems mount for Palace up front, Newcastle’s concerns continue, whilst United’s misfiring Dutchman is set for ankle scans after Saturday’s loss at Swansea.

Aston Villa
Kieran Richardson was forced off during the first half of Saturday’s home loss to Stoke due to injury.

Crystal Palace
Fraizer Campbell was withdrawn during the Eagles’ home loss to Arsenal after picking up a hamstring problem. Marouane Chamakh failed to feature against his former club due to a similar complaint.

Liverpool
Mamadou Sakho missed today’s clash with Southampton due to a hip problem, the Reds’ official twitter feed has confirmed.

Man United
The Red Devils are sweating over the fitness of Robin van Persie after the Dutchman left the Liberty Stadium on crutches after sustaining an ankle injury Saturday’s 2-1 defeat to Swansea. United are expected to know results of scans on the Dutchman by some point tomorrow.

Newcastle
Daryl Janmaat limped off with a groin problem during the Magpies’ 5-0 hammering at the Etihad on Saturday evening. Manager John Carver confirmed:

“He has got a tight groin. I don’t think he’s too serious at the moment, but it is tight and we took him off as a precaution.”

QPR
Niko Krancjar limped out of the R’s narrow loss at Hull on Saturday and was replaced by Armand Traore on 78 minutes.

Southampton
Steven Davis was replaced at the break during the Saints’ home encounter against Liverpool after picking up a knock.

Sunderland
Billy Jones missed the Black Cats’ goalless draw with West Brom due to injury.

Stoke
Erik Pieters was replaced with five minutes remaining of the weekend win at Villa due to injury.

West Ham
Carlton Cole was forced off due to injury during the Hammers’ draw at Spurs this afternoon.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Point being, captaincy picks are going to be tough in GW27. Ozil could be as good as anyone!

Giroud (C) this week for me I think.

Hasn't blanked in any of his last 6 starts in all competitions - 5 goals and 3 assists in that time. Everton are dodgy at the back, and he's getting a lot of chances created for him at the moment - expect that scoring run to continue.

How sure are you he will start? 3 games in around 10 days.

      He's got:

      Monaco
      Everton
      QPR
      Utd (FA Cup)

I think he'll play for Monaco, QPR and Utd.

Pretty certain. Think there's a good chance he'll be on the bench for the QPR game though.

Fair enough. Let's agree he'll start 3/4 of these. A 75% chance isn't too bad and Wenger may make hints.

City have scored 9 goals in the past 2 GWs. Regardless of the opposition you'd have to be mad not to captain Aguero.

And Liverpool have kept 5 clean sheets in their last 6 GWs. Has to be a balancing act between form and fixture.

Two Arsenal mids and both the wrong ones is your problem in my view. One should become Ozil, the other should become Eriksen next week (and he can be kept till you take wildcard).

Giroud should then become Costa or Sturridge in GW 28. That should get you rocking.

Strugling to find a replacement for Oscar:

    Safer choices:
    A: Sterling
    B: Moses/Walters (Kind of a punt)
    C: Nasri (Have Silva already)

    Punts:
    D: Siggy
E: Blind/Fellaini (Just for one week)
    F: Mane
G: Downing (Overrated on my opinion)

    Thoughs?

Just the one FT; think I will use that but no hits. What would be the best defensive upgrade here (1.5 ITB)?

My thoughts are to wait for news on Toby; bring Bertand in for him if he's out, Bertrand in for PvA if he's not?

I'd keep Toby regardless. He'll be back soon, if not this week. PvA is one is perma-danger.

Thinking of having Nasri Silva Aguero

i have Kun & Silva and I think that's enough City for me.

They won't score 5-0 every week. And remember there is guy named Yaya too.

Naaaa. JK was a beast in that role. Great to see a character actor, non A lister get it. He had been winning this award in all of the run up award shows, too.

Cresswell or Clyne for this week to replace Terry, in order to have 11 starting?

    Or another option?

Hi, just been catching up with all the results etc, but i have 2 questions. Does anyone know why Sturridge and Ercksen didn't start?

    1. Perri

morning, actually thinking of holding PVA and risk having 10 this week. Have 0 cash and Haidria already. Double GW move of ADM ro Erik will free some cash and will deal with PVA then if confirmed hes lost the spot

    Terry, Clyne, PVA, Wisdom, Wasil

Sort out this mess with 2ft's, 2.7m in account.

    Wisdom/Terry- Pieters/Bertrand this GW.

Then Wasil- Zouma the following week(or/and upgrade a mid to Eriksen/Spurs mid)
    Good choices?

Why Terry & Clyne are messes?

Clyne my season keeper. He isnt going anywhere.

Terry is ok but I want to release some funds and think Zouma may be a better bet long term.
(With 4 other decent defenders it is worth having him I think)

That's why- I'm thinking of going
Terry/Wisdom out this week and Wasil next week.. PVA isnt helping now either tho!

Looking at getting Bertrand/Pieters/Zouma in.. (maybe Bellerin)

    RMT please

    Panti - Foster
    Terry - Bert - Moreno - PVA - Wasil
    Cazorla - Haz - Oscar - ADM - Boyd
    Aguero - Kane - Defoe

    2ft and 0.8itb.

    What transfers should I make?

    1. Waddup Mané
      • 9 Years

      same situation.

I'm not sure what to do with PVA Wasil and Moreno...

Was thinking about dropping Moreno since he has city anyway, as well as Wasil

Then pick up either 2 of these

      Naughton
      Dawson
      Haidara
      Bruce/Mcshane

    2.2m ITB 1 FT

    Heaton (Panti)
    Kosceilny, Hutton, Wollschied, WISDOM (Terry)
    ADM, Sanchez, Boyd, Elmohamdy (Hazard)
    Aguero, Defoe (Kane)

Wisdom --->>> ?????? or save FT for DGW and hope he plays (which is very unlikely)

i think if you are spending big on the chelsea back line, you have to go for ivan

if you are just looking for the clean sheets, go zouma
