The ScoutCast – Episode 159 – Inactive

Only one FPL manager could withstand a 52-point hit and walk away with a smile on their face. In this week’s ScoutCast episode we tell the extraordinary tale of the FPL champion’s “inactive” Wildcard, whilst looking back on Granville’s own, rather more successful squad refresh.

We tackle all the usual regulars, as Jonty arrives armed with another array of quizzical requests from you, the community. We look forward to the Gameweek 37 double Gameweek, assess the role of end of season motivation and recall the moment that Jamie Vardy’s girlfriend turned our world upside down. No really.

This week’s episode was published live on Monday via Google Hangouts. You can view the full, uncut footage in the larger player below or via our YouTube channel.

    Bottom of last page

I'm still not sure what to do, have 3 Liverpool players which is concerning

    Migs
    Skrtel JT Clyne
    Hazard Silva Sterling Cesc
    Kun(c) Kane Giroud

    Myhill Wolly Cawson Sameobi

    1 FT & 0.1 ITB
    A) Sterling out for Rambo
    B) Cesc out for Ozil
    C) Save FT

I'm really surprised by how much of a landslide the captains poll is. I would have thought Hazards recent blanks will be enough to make it a much closer poll.

I'm hoping for this too ... might as well win in style now and enjoy some open-play football ... I just don't think Mou will shut up shop for the rest of the season to grind out 0-0 draws?

Especially this week, the win will mathematically secure them ... in front of their own fans ... blah blah blah.

Hazard benched on 59 with Cuadrado playing the next 4 GWs 🙂

Yeah. More worrying is how chelsea will choose to play against palace. They might still play a conservative approach and seal the title asap.

If palace scores 1st it will be good for fpl otherwise it would be a 2-0 routine victory for chelsea

i think Chelsea will sit tight and wait

Their defence has no pace to match Crystal. Just see how Chelsea play Arsenal who has so many pacy wingers.

And Chelsea will be playing their 3rd game in 7 days? It may not be an open game much the way we hope for

Haha zouma might get a start there. Its chelsea's style to win it conservatively. And at the end of the seaon where most players are tired i would not expect them to win big.

i agree Kun is the better choice but i just fear of losing out agst the mass

Lei vs Chelsea game, i think Chelsea was sitting back until Lei scored. Then they had no choice to start attack.

So if Chelsea scored first tomorrow, i think it will be a 1-0 game

In fact it went something like this:

      Out - Bellerin 6, Boyd 2, Eriksen 2, Mane 2, Remy 0 (Kane 5) = 12 (17)

      In - Skrtel 11, Henderson 5, Sterling 5, Fabregas 8, Vardy 12 (-12) = 29

In the players out Remy got 0 but Kane would have come in. Overall even with a 12 point hit and 3 Liverpool players I still got a net gain. Additionally I made up points in my mini league.

Also I think I'd rather have the Liverpool players than Eriksen and Mane for this week, I'll keep Henderson until the end now probably and ship Sterling to an Arsenal player.

Not actually all that bad to be honest!

I feel Kane maybe underestimated as a captain option at the back. Both team will attack and City is hardly defending.

It's probably the reason my rank is better than ever.

Usually I'm always looking for that differential pick that rarely pays off over the entire season. Jumping on all the bandwagons etc!

Currently in 34 OR and want to take some gambles in a last ditch attempt at top spot.

Fairly certain my next 3 transfers in will be ARS players, but if looking for differentials to those above me, should I ignore the likes of Giroud and Sanchez and go for something like Kos, Ramsey & Ozil?

    1. money face bandwagon

get sanchez since there are not many better alternatives in midfield...get a benteke/wickham etc ahead of giroud for differential.

Can't believe that after considering selling sterling, I've thought in more depth and now decided I might captain him.

his stats are good, might play up front and more importantly, QPR won't play for a draw, they desperately need 3 points.... Should be wide open unlike recent poor Liverpool performances vs tight defences .

I hadn't really thought about it much yet to be honest but that might not be a bad idea.

I will email Jonty and query it. As it will be run through here I don't want to do anything that will go against the rules. Additionally I don't want to block anyone from entering because they're short on cash

Rules isn't a nice way to put it but I'm not sure what the deal is with asking for money on here essentially, although there are money leagues being run so not sure it would be an issue.

Additionally Mark has already said they're looking to do something for Absinthe so we might just wait on that.

I think I'm going without Arsenal players this week and saving a transfer - http://imgur.com/wzvjQc1

Kane will probably end up making the first 11 with one of the midfielders taking a place on the bench (Silva).

    Thoughts?
