Tragic that Sherwood is giving his at the same time as Carver. Everyone will be listening to Carver over the crunching sound of popcorn.

I just want to hear the words that SDJ is going to start this week so I can take a huge punt like Charlie Brown kicking a ball Lucy is holding for him.... some day it will work, but probably not today.

    For the DGW

    A. Giroud + Albrighton/Hendo

    B. Defoe + Cazorla

    C. Vardy + Ozil (+a 5.8 defender to replace Skrtel & bench one of JT/Ivan)

If you have the extra .6 to go Wickham & Cazorla... then that perhaps

otherwise I think C edges it

nope. actually 0.1 short to doing Hendo -> Ozil straight swap 🙁

so who's the best 5.8 defender for the last 2 GWs? Playing PVA + JT/Ivan + him

Fair enough, my girlfriend's family are all die-hard Tories (except for her), mine all die-hard Labour - it takes all sorts I guess. I think growing up in Liverpool and seeing what Thatcher's government in particular did to cities and communities set the tone for my belief system.

Fair enough, personal circumstances do shape things a lot (especially the Thatcher era). As a highly skilled immigrant who had to go through hell to get a UK work permit, I totally understand the appeal of UKIP and a fairer points based immigration system.

Haha don't believe all the media hype, their policies seem a lot fairer to skilled immigrants imo. I don't reckon my vote will count in central London though, far too safe a Tory seat.

This is probably the best way to be, and it's what I do in principle, but I don't think I can help an instinctive subconscious bias. If, say, the BNP came out with a great manifesto in 5 years, I still wouldn't be able to vote for them because I don't believe a party's history will just suddenly disappear or become irrelevant.

For instance, the current Tory leadership grew up with Thatcher's government. They, as young men, looked at what Thatcher was doing to the poorest and most vulnerable across the country and decided that yes, that was the party for them. That does not sit well with me.

The Tories have taken millions of the lowest paid out of work to be fair. They are also tackling tax avoiders and plan to invest more in the NHS than Labour.

I try to avoid propaganda because it's almost always misleading, the stats on the NHS have been good, for example. Thousands more doctors/nurses/midwives have been added. And now they are aiming for 7-day a week GPs.

They've taken a lot out of unemployment by giving them zero hour contracts! And the privatisation of the NHS would be a travesty.

1/50 of the 2 million jobs created are zero hour contracts. And most of those people want a zero hour contracts. That was Labour propaganda.

The NHS will always be free, that is their policy. The privitisation has been blown out of proportion. Charities like Marie Curie do good work and I'm happy for them to take part.

Around 3/4 of a million people on zero hour contracts - that is not what people deserve.

I do take your point though, it is very hard to discern what is factual and what is propaganda. The media is saturated with propaganda - the tabloids have been on an anti-Miliband crusade for months. If you google "Daily Mail Miliband", the results are terrifying.

Couldn't agree more. Some papers have ridiculous bias. I've spoken to two mates at the pub who are on zero hour contracts. They said it would be a disaster for them if they were banned. One owns a business that can only be open at certain times of the year. He relies on zero hour contracts to fill the gaps.

Tories have made it possible to have more than 1 zero hour contract now, which has helped. But Labour want to ban them...

Would give me 3 arsenal dgw and 2 sun dgw.

          Defoe is cheaper.

Wickham's form is better. Kid loves springtime... it's like his agent calls him every April and leaves this message, "Hi Conor. You haven't really done the necessaries for a raise. Kick on and bag a few before the end of the season and we'll see what we can do. Cheers."

Their are two gender's. Male and Female. Each of them could be commonly referred to as "boy" or "girl". I don't see your point? Jafa was trying to identify which of the community have the XX chromosome or the XY chromosome. Has nothing to do with sexism.

Sanchez in is a must as my ML rival has him and he closed the gap this week. ML rival also has Ramsey so that would be the smart choice but slightly worried about playing time.

Gomez is not a bad shout, was thinking possibly Larsson as an alternatvie but not sure yet.

    @Shifty,

thoughts on a sub 5.0 defender punt for this week only - I'm not so sure. Many mentioned Vlaar but I'm still not convinced. I still think Morgan is the man if you're not maxed out LEI - I really wouldn't mind doubling up. Jenkinson looks good too - especially with the way Adrian is playing.

    Morning chaps
Any ideas what I should do?

    Guzan / Davis
    Bellerin / Vlaar / Terry / Bertrand / Skrtel
    Hazard / Silva / Hendo / Sterling / Phillips
    Aguero / Kane / Murray
    2.5 ITB, 2FT

I'm thinking Sterling > Albrighton for the money (leaves me with 6.8ITB) but then what?

    a) Murray > Benteke (Kane -> Giroud for the DGW)
    b) Murray > Giroud
    c) Hendo > Sanchez
    d) a) or b) and Hendo > Ozil / Ramsey / Cazorla (-4)
    e) other?

    1. Heels_Over_Head

Sterling & Hendo -> Ramsey & Ozil this week
      Murray -> Wickham next week

      1. Malrog
        • 9 Years
        9 years, 1 month ago

Interesting idea! I can do Ramsey & Ozil, but it'll leave me with nothing in the bank, so Murray > Wickham won't happen. Could do Murray > Graham for Sunderland cover instead, but I just can't bring myself to believe that Sunderland will do anything in the DGW. However, I said that about Hull in the last DGW, and look what happened there!

I guess the question is, which of these groupings looks better for the DGW:

        1) Benteke, Giroud, Ramsey & Albrighton (-8)
        2) Kane, Graham, Ramsey & Ozil (no hits)

    need some quick advice.....

I have to make transfers today so cant wait for press conference tomorrow as at a wedding :/

    want sanchez/ozil

was going to sell sterling/fab for them...

but seeing news about haz on holiday im thinking I could sell Haz/Henderson

    So
    A) Sell Sterling/Fab
    B) Sell Haz/Henderson
    C) Do neither and cry

    Ospina Schmeichel
    Terry Skrtel Toby Huth PvA
    Hazard Fab Sterling Hendo Cambiasso
    Aguero Giroud Kane
    2FT 0.8 itb

Got the exact money for Skrtel & Sterling > McShane & Sanchez. Worth doing? Anything better?
Would then probably do Hendo/Fab to a Sunderland mid next week.

      a) I guess I'm not the only one who doesn't own him.

      b) I do wonder if some folks fib in the captain's poll for various reasons.
