One thought on everyone that has Targett in the mix.

He may play the first couple of games, but if he ends up with a decent level of ownership and after not playing for a few weeks folks will sell and his price will drop.

Last year Bruce at Hull dropped down to 3.8 in a similar situation. Moore as well later in the year.

If I was looking for a 4M bench fodder defender I would be mindful of this and definitely stay away from Nathan Baker. Those extra 0.1s can be really meaningful later in the season.

Okay humans, what do you think?

    Myhill - Hennessey
    Ivanovic - Cedric - Huth - O'Shea - Francis
    Hazard - Walcott - Sterling - Milner - Wanyama
    Rooney - Pelle - Sakho

Find 0.5m for another keeper, you don't want to be starting Myhill every week. Butland - Schmichael is a good 4.5/4.5 rotation.

        Schmeichel - Butland
        Azpilcueta - Cedric - Williams - Huth - Francis
        Hazard - Walcott - Sterling - Milner - Wanyama
        Rooney - Pelle - Sakho

Do people use their transfers like as soon as watch MOTD that night even if games still to be played on the Sunday so that you beat the price increase of players? Or hold back to see if any injuries in the later games?

I usually wait, however I see on the homepage of prem FF the 'most transfered in/out' moving as soon as the sat night!

Usually at 4:55pm on the saturday, while I'm on the shitter at work looking at the scores that day. Should already have an idea in your head about your next week transfers regarding fixtures but definitely get in there early.

Back to the drawing board and after a few changes I came up with this.

    Cech

    Azpilicuta Mings Cedric

    Hazard Ritchie Ozil Depay

    Deeney Costa Rooney

    Subs: 4.0 - Huth - O'Shea - Wanyama

    Any feedback would be great.

Looks worth copying Johnny Boy. Not sure about Bournemouth defenders. Is Huth all that with Tinkerman?

      Please rate mine

      Pants (Boruc)
Azp Ivanovich Cedric (Lescott Van Aanholt)
      Hazard Ramsey Siggy Ki (Wanyama)
      Aguerooo Deeney Sakho.

        Where can I find johnnyboy?

Like the goalkeepers always nice to have a choice.
Lovely defence, maybe bench defenders are a bit pricey?
Don't like Siggy or Ki but worth keeping if you fancy them.
Will Aguero be wasted on bench gw1? Like Deeney and Sakai for there prices.

Yeah. I agree on Aguerooo. Wanted him in to get the price right to transfer him in later. Who would you suggest? Costa? Can't do any United players. So what's your theory on Huth and the Minger?

    Ruddy (Henessey)
Azpi / OShea / Darmian (Francis / Huth)
Hazard / Silva / Ozil / Hendo (Ritchie)
    Rooney / Sakho / Deeney

Playing Hendo or Ritchie will be a nightmare to decide each week imo.
Looks good other than that but too much rich of points sitting on the bench with those 2 for me.

Completely unrelated but if your a Boh's fan how is Karl Moore playing recently? Heard good things as last season my team (Athlone) were looking at signing him, watched a few youtube clips and he seemed decent and seemed to have followed his progress since haha.

Jermaine Lens for Sunderland could be a very obscure option, Sunderland have some fantastic early fixtures and he impressed on his debut at Doncaster despite them slipping to a 2-0 defeat.

Another very obscure one could be Siem De Jong for Newcastle, he's back fit and had a good pre season, honestly think he's gonna do brilliantly this season.

De Jong is competing with Wijnaldum for the #10 spot though. I have gone with Lens, myself.

It looks as though Wijnaldum is gonna be playing deeper or even on the wing mate, Siem will probably play but Lens is a terrific option. I'm gonna throw Afellay into the mix aswell, although personally I'm gonna wait and see how he pans out for the first few weeks fitness-wise before I make a decision like that

Just had my first run at my starting squad for this season. This is what i came up with:

    Pantillimon

    Azpilicueta-Koscielny-Jagielka

    Wanyama-Sanchez-Hazard-Fabregas-Ozil

    Benteke-Diouf

    Subs: Hennessey-Forestieri-Targett-Mariappa.

Any comments or suggestions would be much obliged.

      Awful subs.
      Don't like Diouf.
      Defence is good.

Diouf isn't good enough, too hasty to go for Sanchez from the off, wouldn't double up on Chelsea midfielders as they have tough fixtures, would save up to get another 4.5 defender as Targett will only be playing for a couple of gameweeks and his price will certainly go down.

Don't trust Jagielka personally but not essential that you take him out, for me you should have either Kane or Rooney up front.

    Any feedback on essentials dilema...

Firstly, apologies if this has been covered. I haven’t seen it, but i don’t read everything

I like to stick to the safe option big hitters from the start. For me, that is Hazard, Aguero (if fit), Rooney + Arsenal mid and Chelsea defender. Going with that makes it pretty much impossible to have a decent 4th mid and anything above 4.5/5 as 2 and 3 def in a 3-4-3.

Is anyone else thinking along these lines and found an answer? Do i just have to accept you can’t fit Hazard, Aguero and Rooney in the same team and have any sort of balance?

    1. Greasy
      • 10 Years
      8 years, 10 months ago

This just an example but you could go

      Courtois 4.0

      Azpi Cedric 4.5 4.5 4.5

      Hazard Ozil Hendo Ritchie Wanyama

      Rooney Aguero Ighalo

This is not my team but it looks good to me and has all you have asked for.

Anyone like the double Chelsea defense? I realise 99% aren't going to like Tadic. Other option is to get a 4.5/5 def in place of Azp and upgrade Tadic to YYT/Sterling.

        Guzan Myhill

        Ivan, Azp, Prodl, Bassong, Mings

        Haz, Wally, Ozil, Tadic, Ritchie

        Rooney, Berahino, Deeney

Hi folks, any thoughts on this team appreciated:

    Pantilimon (Schmeichel)
Van Aanholt / Martin / Ivanovic / Cedric (Whittaker)
Ritchie / Hazard / Henderson / Mane (Gardner)
    Rooney / Kane (Deeney) 0.5

    Thanks!

Krul might be a better second choice GK, given that NEW & SUN fixtures make for a very good rotation pairing. I also think that Shteve will improve NEW defensively. It's definitely one of his managerial traits. Krill also costs the same as Schmeichel, so no hit to the finances.

Defensively, PVA and Cedric have a good run of games through the early weeks, but you still look a bit frail at the back. Maybe consider swapping Ivan for Azpi and upgrading Martin or Whittaker.

Midfield looks pretty potent. Apart from Gardner. Might consider shopping around for a better option there. Wanyama could be a good fit. Only 4.5m but looks like he's fairly assured starts. That extra 1m elsewhere could prove very useful.

Not sure that Kane is going to be anywhere near the potent force he was last season. His form dropped at the back end of last season and it didn't dematerialise at the U21 Euros. He might just be heading for a bout of second seasonitis. Defences might well have learned how to play him a bit more effectively now. He's definitely no longer the unknown under the radar entity the he was last season.

These are all just my opinions of course and I'm no expert. Best advice.....Follow your own path rather than going with the flow. Best of luck.

I think while Forster is still out, Stekelenburg will play. Also even if Hazard has a slow start, his price isnt going to drop too much and it would be even more of a gamble to say it is a slow start and hope he doesnt do something similar to yaya last season. Dont get me wrong, yaya was still good but there were plenty of cheaper players doing better than him

    Cech - Schwarzer
    Azpi - Cresswell - Clyne - Shawcross - O'Shea
    Hazard - Sterling - Mane - Ozil - Cabaye
    Sakho - Benteke - Defoe

In your opinioms what teams will be good for the opening weeks? Sunderland got nice games but theyve not had the best preseason.
    Aguero will come ASAP.

    1. Wes Brown
      • 8 Years
      8 years, 10 months ago

Think it's probably not the best idea to go without Rooney or Kane from the off, not keen on the Defoe option, Bournemouth have some nice early fixtures so maybe you could go with Callum Wilson. Think there are better options than Cresswell and Shawcross but its not essential to be changed.

Think your midfield is very strong but I think you could downgrade one of them to a 4.5 midfielder in order to upgrade elsewhere instead of having to rotate good players, could be painful.

Sorry if I sound too negative but that's just what I'd do. good look for the season.

He'll get a lot of service from Payet (who has been class pre season)

I'm starting with Payet and picking up Sakho in GW2 I think, love the look of Payet so far, picked himself up an assist tonight aswell! With Enner Valencia coming off injured Sakho could become the main man up front for a while!

I'm a bit weary of the low % ownership of Sanchez (9.9) and Aguero (14.8). Presumably, when they play they're going to attract a lot of investment, hitting the values of their placeholders - Arsenal midfielders (possibly Silva) and Rooney/Costa (unless any of those players do particularly well before Aguero comes back).

I've got Fabregas drafted in at present, in part owing to his low ownership and potential for value increase, but I also have Hazard, who's already at 54.9% ownership, and, unless he scores big early doors, is presumably going to remain around that level, or even drop, if he's outscored by Fabregas.

Ritchie's on 4.6% and could see his value rise rapidly if he hits the PL running. And Ibe, 3% at 5.0m could see rapid value rises if he gets starts.

Clyne (43.3) looks like someone who could drop steeply in value if he doesn't come up with the goods early on.

Targett is on just 1.9% ownership at 4.0m, and could go up in value if Bertrand doesn't come in for the first couple of GWs. Worth having him on the bench, imo, for those planning on WCing early. Baker on the other hand, also 4.0m has 15% ownership, and could be the first to dip below 4.0 if he doesn't start.

Any thoughts on this from anyone?

After 3 weeks of intensely studying my team whilst in work and not having much to do please can you rate my team - this is purely for the first 4 GWs with a double transfer for palace players out in GW4 when palace play chelsea for 2 southampton players if possible.

    Pantilimon/Speroni

    Ward/Kos/Shaw/Huth/Van Aanholt

    Sterling/Hazard/Cabaye/Cazorla/Anya

    Giroud/Rooney/Deeny

Scored 299 in RMT but I'm pretty happy with it and my rotation strategy. Enough that i will have 2 double transfers if i want in GWs2 and 4

If anyone could leave any feedback on my team I would appreciate it.

    RMT please guys.

    Butland, Ruddy
    Aspi, Kosc, Williams, Richards, Targett
    Sterling, Hazard, Payet, Walcott, Anya
    Rooney, Pelle, Wilson

Left Aguero out because its too hasty to get him in straight away...

Looking for a way to get rid of Targett for a 4.5 defender, any ideas?

What do you think of my defensive rotation pair of Richards and Williams? I think they rotate really well and can see them benefitting from the change to BPS rules.

Only question I'm struggling to answer is Rooney or Kane...

    1. il Brutto

      I think it looks good.

Anya will probably not be a starter and Targett will be dropped when Bertrand is back in GW 2-3. Downgrading Payet to Tadic/Hendo/Chadli would give you that 0.5 to upgrade Targett other option would be downgrading Kos to Mert. I think I would do the second as I'm quite sure you're very fond on Payet as you have him in your team. Rooney over Kane.

      1. Wes Brown
        • 8 Years

Thanks for the advice and yeah I am fond of Payet as I feel his stats cannot be ignored from last season. Also feel as though West Ham's formation will favour how he plays. I think I probably will end up downgrading Kosc to Mert but I already had to settle with downgrading Ivan to Aspi haha. Any idea who I could bring in to replace Anya if you think he won't start?

Thanks man appreciate the suggestion, I thought Swansea rotated well with Villa this season so that's what made me pick Richards, but I have been trying to get Huth in, I just wasn't sure if Leicester and Swansea's fixtures rotate too well. I agree Payet is a punt but I can honestly see it coming off so I think I'm gonna stick with him for now.

Think that's what I'm gonna do then, but I'll stick with my current keeper rotation as it saves me 0.5m haha.

Thanks! Best of luck to you also.

    Pantilimion | Elliot
    Mert | Cedric | Huth | Muniesa | Bassong
    Hazard | Walcott | Sterling | Mane | Fletcher
    Rooney | Giroud | Wilson

Rooney and Sterling/Walcott to Kun and 6.5 when the time is right.

Not sold on Giroud, especially if you have Walcott - could consider Pelle/Benteke?

Otherwise looks pretty strong to me, though I query how nailed on Muniesa is.

    Pantilimon (Hennessey)
Azpilicueta · Mertesacker · Cedric (Huth - Francis)
Hazard · Walcott · Milner · Ritchie (Fletcher)
    Aguero · Pelle · Sakho

Would be very grateful for some criticism of this team.

I would say go for Rooney for GW1-3 and then switch to Aguero

      Otherwise great squad.

Thanks mate - and Rooney was indeed my backup plan for if Aguero isn't fit. Similarly, I'll keep an eye on CS lineup to decide between Mertesacker/Bellerin. Thanks for the feedback.

    a) Ozil and Pelle

    b) Mane and Giroud

Im thinking B if Giroud starts in Community shield but think he is a rotation risk this season with Walcott now being fit.

A - Ozil has been fantastic in pre-season, I've got my doubt's over Pelle but he's seemingly been banging them in too! With the favorable fixtures S'hampton have, he looks likely to continue that run...

    Finally happy with a draft...

    Butland, Kasper
    Azpi, Cedric, Huth, Francis, Coates
    Hazard, Ramsey, Depay, Tadic, Fletcher
    Rooney, Kane, Sakho

Obligatory plan for Kun: Hazard, Rooney -> Sterling, Aguerooo

    Thanks in advance!

HMMMMM i love this team especially the tadic factor.

      ,my team is

      ruddy rudd
      azpi cedric francis (targett 5.0)
      sterling hazard ozil depay hendo
      kane pelle (5.0)

I dont know what to do with these two gaps,. i want tadic instead of pelle because of the pk factor and pelle throws away chances alot but i cant afford rooney if i get tadic in ... what u think?
