Being a Gooner for one reason and secondly Cazorla was a good punt last year and Ramsey I feel is due a good season and playing well pre season? What do you honestly think and what as an alternative, Ya Ya, Henderson, Eriksen, Sterling, Mata or Depay?

        1. Pochecinno

I think Cazorla is one of your most underrated players, I've got him in my time. Though I think an Arsenal midfielder (barring Sanchez and Walcott) is a bit of a risk because attacking points have potential to be spread. I exclude Sanchez and Walcott because Wenger seems them more as front men so are more of an attacking threat. They're all good options. Yaya had an off season last time out and I think he'll be back to his best. Henderson and Eriksen are their respective teams' best players and involved in most attacks. Sterling I believe will be explosive this year. I'm wary of Mata (I dont this hes dead on starter) and Depay (newbie, dont know how he'll do)

I assume you're looking to play 3-4-3. Defence looks a bit precarious. And quite a few unknown variables: Alder, Distin and Benteke. Yes they have PL experience but how will they adapt to their new teams.

      1. brianj
        • 8 Years
        8 years, 9 months ago

Gotcha, what do you suggest would be a better replacement for Alder?

        A. Jagielka
        B. Clyne
        C. Mertersacker

        1. Pochecinno
          • 8 Years
          8 years, 9 months ago

I think Jagielka overdid himself with goals last season and can't see him repeating that. I'd go with Mertesacker purely because he'll have cech behind him. Though Clyne will offer a greater attacking threat. However that is not as dead cert as the defensive returns you'll get from Mertersacker

OK, so I've tinkered my squad a little after the news of Lambert to West Brom. This is what it was before:

    Cech/Schwarzer
    Ivan/Azpi/Kosc/Cedric/Lescott
    Hazard/Sterling/Mane/Cazorla/Wanyama
    Rooney/4.5/4.5

    I have changed it to:

    Cech/Schwarzer
    Ivan/Michah Richards/Kosc/Cedric/Lescott
    Hazard/Sterling/Mane/Cazorla/Wanyama
    Rooney/Lambert/4.5

I think it has a bit more balance. But now I'm regretting not having 3 chelsea players. What do people think? Should I have sacrificed Ivan instead of Azpi to use more money elsewhere. I have 0.5 in the bank with both variations.

    thanks

I intend to play a 4-4-2. The bench being (Lescott/Richards), Wanyama and the 4.5 Striker. Any idea on the striker. I was previously thinking of 4-5-1 before the change. Is that too risky?

I am extremely close to your team lol
      panti /schrawarzer

      azpi/cedric/lescott /micah Richards /baker
      hazard/Walcott/mane/chadli/bentalb
      rooney/ pelle /4.5

from my team I would tell u that u should take out either kosc or lescott or ivanvic u r spending way too much in def and one of those players wont play if u decide to play with 3 defenders
and upgrade lambert to dafo --benteke- lukaku -pelle -ings as I think he will play since benetke and firmino and lambert now are out

Thanks for the advice, but I think I've been sold on the strong defence idea this season. Though I don't want it to be too strong that it effects other areas. I've gone for Lambert has he's probably a dead starter after Pulis' comments and his two goals tonight. As a spurs fan I am staying well clear of Defoe!

        1. Pochecinno

Strong defence idea meaning I'm going to go with 4-4-2 so they won't be a waste. I will occasionally rotate lescott for richards depending on fixtures.

RMT please. My first attempt at this and not really close to a satisfying result atm. Still 3,5 in the bank so some room for improvement...
    Cech (Schwarzer)

I'd upgrade one of Chadli/Mahrez, otherwise midfield looks a little light. I assume you have shaw because you think he's going to give you attacking returns, otherwise I'd keep away from united defenders!

Can i have some sugestion on my team please? Really appreciate it...
Im quite worry with my defend, but otherwise i wont get a good striking force

    Mignolet
    Cedric, o'shea, francis
    Hazard (c), silva, ozil, ritchie
    Kane, pelle, rooney
    Subs: scwarzer, prodl, bennet, wanyama

Should i down grade silva to sterling and upgrade ritchie to hendo/milner/chadli?
Also, down grade either kane/rooney to improve scwarzer to guzan, and the defender? Or is it better to improve my 5th midfielder instead, wanyama to payet perhaps?

    Thank you for your help

You've arguably got a premium keeper so don't want to be rotating. If you do downgrade one of the strikers I'd do so to strengthen the defence.

Not sure about O'Shea (Guaranteed to start), Tadic (Should go chadli instead? But Southampton's fixture looks good), Wisdom (Unsure whether he nails a spot) and Wilson. Another idea I Have is to change Wilson to Diouf but unsure where to get the extra 1,0 mil.

Looks good to me. I've gone with Rooney over Costa but I share the other two frontmen with you. Maybe Hendo or Tadic is a safer bet that Chadli? I've gone Tadic for now but that could easily change 😉 Good overall tho 🙂

What do you think of mine below?

    Guzan / Myhill

    Game plan:
    - Walcott/Sterling/Ramsay depending Charity Shield
    - A combination of Kane/Rooney & Mane for Aguero/Mid
    - Keep a relatively static front after GW4 and use subs on defence based on fixtures

    Questions

I think Cabaye is definitely worth a punt... working under his old boss who I think got the best out of him. He's also bound to be on most, if not all of the set pieces. Only £6.5m as well.

I'm aiming to get Aguero in for around week 4 with the possibility of using my WC dependant on how the transfer market plays out. I'm unsure on Sakho, it's either him or Deeney for a cheap(ish) striker. Just not been too convinced by West Ham so far and the Europa League always ruins teams' league campaigns IMO.

Anyone able to share some wisdom and help me decide between these 2 teams? Or just any other suggestions in general, trying to maximise points by packing the mid and going 3-5-2 but open to suggestions...

    A
    Fabianski (4mil Sub Schwarzer)
    Cedric - Jagielka - Lescott - (2x 4mil subs)
    Chadli - Hazard - Walcott - Henderson - Sterling
Kane - Adebayor (if he moves to Villa) - (4.5mil Sub)
Leaves me with 4mil left to get Aguero in for Kane when fit, or Sanchez in for the lowest performing Mid player depending on form...

    B
    Cech (Schwarzer)
    Cedric - Clyne - Azpil 0 (2x 4mil subs)
    Depay - Hazard - Cabaye - Henderson - Sterling
Aguero when fit, Rooney for now - Lambert - (4.5 mil sub)

    1. Larry Legend
      • 9 Years
      8 years, 9 months ago

Not keen on 2 4m subs. Targett is only a short term option, and can't see any other regulars unless Steven Taylor plays and stays fit (big risk).

What would your suggestions be then? Option B could replace Clyne with Lescott and then get O'Shea as a better sub option. Could also do the same in option 1 by getting a 5mil defender in for Jagielka...

My first post. Pls RMT. Any advice appreciated.
    Cech -- Butland

Ok so this is what I have come up with:
    Butland (Speroni)
    Azpi, Alderweild, Cedric (O'Shea,
    Hazard, Henderson, Chadli, Young (Zaha)
    Aguero, Rooney, Deeney

My biggest dilemma has been whether to include Azpi, or swap him for another 4.5m defender and upgrade the midfield (Chadli to Mata , Yaya or Ozil). Other potential cash saver would be Rooney to Kane (not keen on Pelle). But feel free to point out other weaknesses / potential moves!

    Feedback very welcome!!!

I really rate Shaw, but I'm steering well clear of United defenders for now until they show some consistency. Plus Shaw is an injury risk, so doubly risky. Also think there are better options than Ki. I'm on Zaha- loads of points potential of he plays.

Hi guys. Could you RMT please?

    Ruddy
    Azpil, Cedric, Mertes,
    Mane, Hazard, Walcott, Hendo, Ritchie,
    Rooney, Pelle

    Subs; Wilson, Francis, Huth

I feel there could be a CS on the bench. I'm also a bit skeptical about Pelle and would be open to suggestions to bring in another top striker.

I did a lot of tinkering and feel I have a better side now.

        Butland/Ruddy
        Ivanovic/Cedric/Francis/ Mertesacker/Huth
        Fab/Walcott/Hendo/Ritchie/Mane
        Rooney/Kane/Wilson

I may get a 4.0 defender in to upgrade one either Cedric or Francis
