We turn our attentions to Fantasy Bet this evening as I continue my quest to turn my £100 pot into profit.
For those unfamiliar, the initial player prices and scoring system in Fantasy Bet are very similar to Fantasy Premier League, making it an accessible weekly and daily format for those who pay a lot of attention to the official game.
This week in Fantasy Bet there is a Fantasy Football Scout league with an impressive £500 guaranteed pot on offer for a rather reasonable entry fee of only £0.55. This league covers all ten fixtures and I will be entering a Scout Picks team into the mix. There’s also a £100 free-roll available – I’ve gone 3-5-2 here and stocked up on midfielders mentioned in the Weekly Shop article, with Memphis Depay, Yohan Cabaye and Nathan Redmond all finding a spot alongside in-form Dimitri Payet and Riyad Mahrez.
The Bottom Line
Before I explain the competitions I’ll be entering this week in Fantasy Bet, I recap here how I got on over the previous set of fixtures. A disappointing start last week to my Fantasy Bet season was mainly down to being a single point off the money in the Saturday DoubleUp, narrowly losing out in 5th place. An extra point in that game would likely have kicked the challenge off with a positive balance, however the £7.70 stake was still offset by £4.75 of winnings, leaving me only £2.95 down for the week. Even a position of 134th in the Freeroll game provided some winnings, granted it was only £0.55 but it shows even an average result can bring rewards.
This Week’s Stake
Weekly games – For £0.55 I’ve entered the Scout Picks into the FFScout £500 GTD league, though there are some alterations due to budget and I also pick a captain.
I’ve also entered a team into the £100 Freeroll and another into the £50 Flash Freeroll game, this format requires the competitor to pick their team within 3 minutes – any gaps left are then filled with auto-complete.
I’ve also parted with £1.10 to enter a Head to Head contest with two other players – this is a Winner Takes All game.
Daily games – After coming so close to the money places last week I’ll also be entering the Saturday DoubleUp once again, this contest costs £3.30 to enter.
Total Stake: £4.95
FFScout League
As mentioned, Fantasy Bet have now made the opportunity for the community to take on the scout picks much more enticing with a £500 guaranteed pot this week. With only a £0.55 entry fee required to have a shot at beating the scouts, the winner’s team will be posted here in the next article.
Bateman’s team won last week with an excellent score of 69 points, Dimitri Payet, Nathaniel Clyne, Sergio Romero and his captain Christian Benteke all bringing in 8 or more points each. Fantasy Football Scout’s Mark managed a very respectable second place finished with 64 points.

So who thinks Lolorov is finally the real deal and can keep Clichy out of the side for an extended run? I really want to believe it...because if he can, he'll be (IMO) by far the best defender in the game - maybe even best player in the game (!) between GWs 4-12...
Just worry that we've been here before though...then comes the benching and 5min cameo and we all remember why he's unselectable for any length of time...
