The Big Numbers – Midfielders – Last Four Gameweeks

After delving into the Gameweek 5-8 data for Defenders yesterday afternoon, we now set our sights on the midfielders. Arsenal’s in-form duo arrive under analysis, whilst we also cast an eye over City and West Ham’s summer signings and analyse the recent displays of Southampton’s wide men as the fixtures turn in their favour.

    Was waiting till the break was over to do Pedro to Mane. With the Aguero news I'm most likely going to do Pedro and Aguero to Sanchez and Pelle for a hit. 3.7 left over.

    Still going to wait though. Never know.

    what if aguero is out for a few months

    i was thinking on

    a) Aguero > Pelle, Drinkwater > Eriksen
    b) Aguero > Lukaku, Drinkwater > Mane

    any other ideas are welcomed

            Aye. I'm very much against early transfers for greed. Only when they have to be done for affording a plan. I've done a couple of early transfers this season which I've luckily got away with. Won't be making a habit of it. My TV is terrible.

                Always the problem with a player at £13 Mil+

                I'm pretty sure we all had to make hefty compromises to get him in.

        Sometimes they work when I've done them before (got Igahlo & Martial in for Benteke/Watmore on the sunday evening of the weekend they both went mental... Igahlo & Martial have went up +0.5 between them + delivered points, whereas Bentekkers has went down 0.2)

        But yeah non-Aguero owners who got him in early after the Newcastle match must be wondering what next at this point

      I think it depends on how long he's out for, if only 3 weeks I'd get Costa maybe if longer then Lukaku to set my team up for GW11

    Who is more of a priority to get out?

    A) Gomez (Would be playing Francis away at city if I keep him)

    Sanchez, KDB, Payet, Mane, Mahrez
    Aguero, Igahlo, Graham

    Assuming Aguero is out, what should I do?

    A) Aguero + Gomez -----> Costa/Pelle/Lukaku + Bertrand (-8)
    B) Aguero + Graham -----> Costa/Pelle/Lukaku/Sturridge/etc and play AOA (-8)
    C) Aguero -----> Costa/Pelle/Lukaku and play Francis (mci) (-4)

          Not that fussed it's not as if I'm going to win FPL.

          As a ML Chairman, even in my £ ML my job is to help new people to the game by keeping them up to date with player info.

    What are the most popular Aguero-replacements?
    Thinking Sturridge, Lukaku or Pelle are the options.. Already have Mane in midfield..
    Or is it time to go 3-5-1?

      Those plus Costa and maybe even Kane if you're feeling saucy.

    Have to feel for Aguero. Finally found his form this season and then goes and picks up an unjury.

    It's a real shame that arguably the best 2 strikers in the league (when fully fit), Aguero and Sturridge, are as injury prone as they are.

    158,000 people have transferred in Aguero already this week, ouch!

      158 is Sanchez
      132 is Aguero.
      No biggy just to let you know.

    If Aguero out I'm tempted to do these moves over the next 3 GWs

    GW9 Kun >> Lukaku

    GW10 Westwood >> Walcott

    Gw11 Darmian >> Coleman

    Stekelenburg (McCarthy)
    Kolarov DARMIAN Williams (Evans, Gomez)
    Sanchez KDB Payet Mahrez (WESTWOOD)
    KUN Vardy Pelle

    Thoughts

      I'd want to shift Gomez rather than Darmian plus you'll give yourself a benching dilemma (not sure if that bothers you) with 8 good attackers. What's the plan if Aguero is only forecast to miss 3 weeks?

        Probably just transfer Kun out for Costa and sort out Gomez for Coleman as would be a easier switch back once he returns.. Leave deadwood

          Fair enough - my team is very similar to yours so I'm going over similar thoughts myself.

    Any updates on Aguero? Well, i'm quite delighted that I didn't make the move for him already 🙂

    If kun is out.
    We'll all have a couple of millions ITB
    Why don't we focus on upgrading defence and watch the points roll in?!

      i think it depends on how long he's out...wont want to have to make too many extra changes to bring him back if it's just a couple of weeks
